♡ Chapter 04 ♡
Shinjuku Shopping Mall...
Kai's POV
My smartphone in my pocket began buzzing noisily, noticing me a call. The song I set as a ringtone signified that the caller was my wife, Izuku.
My left hand dug into my pants pocket, while my right arm was holding snivelling Ken. He still couldn't get over his trauma.
I tapped the green button and clamped my phone to my ear. I heard my wife talking to my other two children. It was pretty loud and noisy on the phone.
"Hello, Izu?"
"Kai dear! Did you find Ken?!"
"Yeah, I found him. He is with me now."
"Thank God! I started to get really worried when I saw polices entering the mall!"
"I'm the one who called them."
"Huh? Wh... What...?! Did something happen to Ken?!"
"A child predator kidnapped him and tried to ruin his innocence in the men's bathroom. But do not fret. He is safe and sound now."
"Oh Gosh... Poor child..."
A police officer suddenly approached me. He scanned my figure from head to toe, his eyebrows furrowing. "Sir, we need you to come with us to the police station." He informed briefly, sweats trickled down the side of his head. I was confused by his sudden act of anxiousness but I ignored it.
"Sure, I will come along." I answered shortly, not wanting to deal with this police officer any longer. The way he looked at me... Was different.
Perhaps he recognizes me. Wait, all polices recognize me... Since I'm a former yakuza.
"Hey, Izuku."
"Kai, what is happening there?"
"Meet me at Shinjuku Police Station. They need me for questioning about the child predator."
"Okay. I will see you there. Stay safe, honey. Ai, Ichi, let's go see your father and big bro."
Izuku hung up the call so I shoved my phone back into my pocket. "Chisaki-san." The officer called out my name. "I'm coming." I replied while stroking my child's brown hair. The thought of him blowing off that villain's arm to bits made me nervous.
Ken needs to learn controlling his power.
Damn it, why did he have to inherit my Quirk?

Police station,
Afternoon...
Third Person's POV
Kai was taken into the interrogation room for questioning as an important witness to collect informations regarding the criminal.
Izuku and the triplets were sitting in the hallway, eagerly waiting for the head of the family to come out. The mother was disappointed with herself for not being able to protect her child, even though she was a hero.
"Jeez, don't scare Mommy like that again, Ken!" The green-haired woman hugged her oldest son tightly, not intending to let him go after what had occured. Tears were rolling down her cheeks.
Ken felt bad for making his mother cry. He only responded with clutching onto her with those small hands of his. Aiko and Ichiru climbed onto the chairs next to both sides of Izuku. The sister and her little brother patted their mother's head.
"Mommy, don't cry." Aiko whispered into her ear. Her small hand wouldn't stop stroking her mother's fluffy head. Ichiru stared at her with teary eyes. "Mommy good mommy." He sobbed and hugged her neck to comfort her.
Izuku's cries ceased. Slowly, she lifted her head up. Her emerald irises studied her three children's faces. The trio were also shedding chibi tears. It was obvious they were worried of her.
Seeing them like this moved her heart. She immediately hugged the three with affection. "Sorry for worrying you three... Mommy is okay now. So don't cry... Ai, Ichi, Ken." She assured, her voice was mellow and gentle. She tugged a wide smile for them.
Aiko burst into laughter while clapping her hands, happy to see her mother smiling again. Ichiru wouldn't let go of her mother's neck. Ken nuzzled her head into her chest, crystal liquid was still leaving his eyes.
'Kai... I wonder how he is doing in there...' Izuku shifted her gaze to the white door that led to the room Kai was interrogated.
— In the interrogation room —
Kai's POV
"Hm, you see. This villain was pretty badly injured. His left arm is gone... Mysteriously. He is sent to hospital first for treatment. So it will take a while to solve this case." The detective announced the result of the investigation as he looked through the stack of papers in his hand.
"I can't believe a serial child rapist would be roaming in shopping mall. That is very unusual." He rubbed the back of his head in bewilderment while his eyes fixed on an unknown document.
So the polices were after him? That's such a bold action from a man who is in wanted list.
The other officers' eyes were focused on me— more like, glaring dagger. I only ignored their deadly glare and quietly listened to the detective mumbling something under his breath.
"Well, last question from me..." The detective looked up to me and placed down the file on the desk. "You are Kai Chisaki... The leader of Shie Hassaikai, right?" He asked huskily, suspicion rose in his voice.
As expected, they are suspicious of me.
"Former leader, sir." I answered sarcastically. Didn't he know that Shie Hassaikai was disbanded five years ago?
"You scum! How dare you—"
"Calm down, Officer Mizuhashi. Let me talk to him, alone." The detective stopped his subordinate from beating me up. The middle-aged man observed my behavior.
"I discovered a little bit about your personal information. Your Quirk is called Overhaul, right? Are you the one who destroyed that villain's left arm?" He asked, fingers tapping the surface of the metal desk.
I shook my head and answered, "When I arrived to save my son, his hand was already gone."
"Does your son have a Quirk?"
"Yes... His Quirk manifested only recently. Just now, to be exact. Perhaps... He is the one who destroyed that scoundrel's arm... Out of fear." I stared at my gloved palm silently.
Ken... Inherited my Quirk. I don't like this. I don't like it when he has my Quirk.
What if the kids around the neighbourhood call him a monster...
This happened to me during my childhood... And I don't want Ken to suffer the same fate as me. I need to teach him on how to control his power, quick.
The detective nodded his head in understanding. "I got it. Well, I have nothing to ask you. You are free to go, Chisaki." He said, signifying his subordinate to open the door.
We all left the interrogation room together. "I will give you a call when that villain wakes up." He reminded. My eyes then trailed to his nametag.
Detective Reigen...
"Daddy!" Aiko's voice boomed in the entire police station, interrupting my conversation with Detective Reigen. My little girl sprinted toward me before clinging to my leg.
"Hey there, little miss." Detective Reigen smiled at Aiko. She tilted her head in curiosity. "Aiko! How many times I tell you not to run off by yourself!" Izuku exclaimed furiously as she made her way toward us. She was carrying Ichiru in her arms while Ken cling on her leg.
The police officers behind me suddenly gasped in disbelief. "You... You are... Pro Hero Deku?!" The officer, who almost kicked me out just now, yelled and pointed his finger at Izuku.
Izuku turned to him with a confused expression, before a rush of realization hit her. "Ah, yes. I'm Deku. I believe we have met before, Officer Mizuhashi, Detective Reigen." She smiled genuinely while I watched them in total turbulence.
"Exactly. We first met during the League of Villain Raid Mission." Detective Reigen agreed, his smile never worn off from his wrinkled face.
So they were acquainted.
"W... What are you doing here, Deku-san?" The officer... The one called Mizuhashi asked in fear. "I come to see my husband. This man standing in front of you here is the father of my kids, Kai Chisaki." She introduced me to them. I waved a hand at the polices.
"Well, you are done with questioning, right? May I return home with my husband now?" Izuku looked at them sadly. Detective Reigen nodded his head. "Of course you can. Your husband has been very helpful in our investigation."
"Alright. We will take our leave now. Let's go, cupcakes." Izuku put Ichiru down and gestured the kids to walk. We all exited the police station calmly.
"Mommy, I want ice-cream!!!" Aiko whined pleadingly as she tugged on Izuku's sock.
"Ichi want ice-cweam too..." Ichiru showed his puppy eyes to me. Ken just hummed in agreement, his eyes stared at my face long.
"I will buy you the best ice cream in the world if you promise not to cry." I demanded and they agreed without hesitation. The five of us walked into the car and drove back home...
Better tell Izuku about Ken's Quirk after we arrive.
