CHAPTER 25

(Edited)

Imagine having the best sleep of your life; one that you haven't had in a very long time. But you couldn't enjoy it because something pressed into your cheek. Well, this was exactly my predicament. I was having a pleasant sleep until someone started poking my cheek repeatedly. I would have guessed that me not opening my eyes after ten pokes would have been a give away that I wasn't interested. Are people that clueless?

"Psss, wake up!" I heard a voice above me whisper. The same person poked me again, and I swatted their hand away. I felt a shadow reach for me once more, but now the gloves were off, mamma was irritated.

"If you poke me one more time, I'll shove your finger so far up your butt it will be poking out of your nose!" I couldn't help but threaten.

The anonymous person chuckled. "Well someone's not a morning person." Jason, whom the voice belonged to, stated matter of fact. I ignored him and cuddled into his side.

"I don't think Katie would appreciate you cuddling her boyfriend."

"I'll move as soon as I start caring," I replied, feeling myself falling asleep again.

Jason started moving around in the tent, but I couldn't be bothered to check on him. I wish I had, though because he started pulling me out of the tent by my feet. I tried fighting it, I grabbed whatever I could hold onto, but Jason was stronger.

'I understand why Ashton calls you feisty, the name suits you!" he pointed out, throwing me over his shoulders like I was a sack of air. The impact of his shoulder, onto my stomach, took my breath away. I tried covering it up by talking to him.

"Jason is Kate nearby?" I asked, staring at his butt.

"No, why?"

"You have a great looking butt," I said, smacking it. Jason chuckled.

"I see what you did there. He smacked my butt also, but much lighter than I had hit him. "Little miss feisty isn't brave enough to complement my amazing ass in front of my girlfriend." He said smugly. "Flirting with your friends boyfriend, bad girl!"

I scoffed and pushed myself up on his shoulders to lighten the pain on my stomach. "Of course I am and don't flatter yourself. The day I flirt with you is the day Michael starts being nice to me."

"So never?" he joked. "I bet you wouldn't say that in front of Kate!" He challenged. I couldn't see where he was taking me, but I hoped he would put me down soon.

"Challenge accepted, but if I do, you have to feed me."

We finally stopped, and he put me down on the table. I sighed happily, the pain lessening.

"Deal, Shorty!"

I glared at Jason for calling me short, but before I could reprimand him, Kate arrived at the table. My glare turned into a smirk when she sat down in front of me. She looked like she had been awake for hours. Poor girl! I took my lose hair and tight it into a messy ponytail.

"So, Kate, have I told you that Jason has a great looking butt?" I asked bluntly. Her face went from amused to worried and back to amused in less than three seconds. She looked at Jason questioningly, but he was to busy playfully glaring at me. I gave him a triumphant smile, and he rolled his eyes sitting next to Kate.

"I win! You owe me food." I sat up straight, crossing my legs, criss-cross, in front of me. My back was facing the camping sight, and I was staring at my friends. Emily arrived soon after me.

"Should I be worried that you were looking at Jason's ass?"

I shrugged casually. "Nah, you should be honoured." I winked at her. "I only look at people with great butts."

Jason's cheeks turned a rosy colour, and everyone chuckled. Since Jason put me down on the table, I sat on the back corner, hoping I didn't fall backwards, while facing my friends. On my right sat, Kate, Jason and Emily on the end. Cassie was in their tent. I felt out of place, still sitting in my PJ; everyone already dressed for the day. Oh well, Ill blame Jason for dragging me here.

"Where are the guys?" I was starting to feel grumpy, my stomach needed food, and meds and Jason sat there doing nothing.

"Michaels on his way, and the guys are sleeping." Jason chuckled at what he said, and everyone looked at him with suspicion. Freaking weirdo!

"Why did you say it like that?" Emily asked.

"You'll see," Jason smirked.

Michael came up to the table and sat down behind me, startling me. I jumped, and Michael wrapped his arm around my back to keep me from falling. He placed his hand, lightly on my stomach and kept it there. My heart was going on overdrive; Michael was willingly touching me. I couldn't focus properly. My friends were having a full-on conversation while I felt like I couldn't breathe.

Michael brought his mouth to my ear, whispering, "Breath Princess."

A shiver ran down my spine, and I struggled to pull myself together. His scent was so overwhelming. I wanted to turn and wrap myself around him. I groaned, and he chuckled, knowingly. He knew what he was doing to me. Jerk! I thought he was angry with me, why was he doing this?

"Jason, you promised me food!" I looked at him, trying to distract myself from Michaels attention.

"I'll feed you soon, woman, calm down."

I shot him a glare and looked over at Cassie who sat down next to Michael. Her black hair was in a half bun up-do with no make-up on. She looked so casual, carefree even; I envied that. Michael was rubbing soothing circles on my thigh, while I was having an internal battle between pushing his hand away or just letting nature take its course.

"Cas, where is your boyfriend?" She blushed, fiddling with her fingers.

"He's not my boyfriend."

I rolled my eyes at her. "Fine, where's the guy you suck face with?" Cassie glared at me, and we chuckled at how embarrassed she looked.

"You should have accepted her first question." Emily pointed out with a chuckle. I smiled innocently at her. Cassie stood up and stretched her arms a bit.

"I never learn my lesson with her." It was true, you would think after two years she would stop making the same mistake. "Come on A; I'll show you where he's at."

"Where are we going?" I complained, feeling lazy. "I'm still in my pyjamas." Jason looked over his shoulder and called me to follow, and then I would get food afterwards.

"Come here, I'll carry you," Michael said, standing behind me.

I looked at him dumbfounded. "Willingly?"

He shook his head with a chuckle and turned around for me to get on his back. I got on his back and laid my head in the crook of his neck, my face looking inward.

Well, nature show me what you got!

Michael followed our friends to the deck while carrying me. I inhaled his scent and realized that even though we were outdoors, he could never smell bad.

"Are you sniffing me?" To be honest, I was slightly falling asleep; his presence had this calming pull over me. I mumbled yes, and his body tensed. He felt my breath on his neck, and I felt thrilled that I could have the same effect on him as he had on me.

"Don't fall asleep, Autumn."

"Shhh." I hushed him, groggily.

Before I could fall asleep entirely, we came to a stop, and he put me down gently, my body appreciating it severally. After the whole ordeal with Jason carrying me, I needed to take a few pills, maybe later though. I went to sit on one of the chairs that we had on the deck, but Michael stopped me and pulled me back into him. He made me stand in front of him and laid his chin on top of my head, because of the height difference we fit perfectly. Don't go there, Autumn!

I looked in front of me, and the sight that I saw had me fully awake. Two air mattresses floated in the middle of the lake with Ashton and Mason sleeping soundly on them. Jason was right; I wouldn't want to miss this. I looked over at my friends, and they all chuckled soundlessly. I couldn't help but burst with a fit of laughter, luckily Michael pressed his hand over my mouth to smother the sound.

When I finally calmed down, he didn't remove his hand, so I licked it. He wasn't grossed out by it; he just bumped me with his knee and cleaned his hand off on the hoody I was wearing.

I looked up at him and smiled. "You two idiots did this?" Michael and Jason chuckled feeling proud of themselves. The smile on Michael's face was contagious, and I wished I could freeze that moment forever.

"Guys grab a few pebbles from the bag," Jason said, passing the bag around. "The point of the exercise is to throw them with it until they wake up," Jason explained. He looked at me and narrowed his eyes. "Only to wake them up, not kill them." I scoffed and looked away, folding my arms over my chest. I'm not that violent, am I? Jason and the girls went first, while Michael and I waited behind them.

"Whose hoody is that? Michael asked, pulling it slightly. Jason threw two pebbles, and both missed Mason and Ashton's heads by far.

"It's Masons," I explained. I couldn't decipher the look on his face. Kate and Cassie went next, both missing, but Cassie was the closest to Ashton, but it bounced off the mattress.

"Why?"

"Because its big and comfy," I stated. "Does it bother you?" I teased. He clenched his jaw but didn't say anything. I felt a surge of bravery push me forward. I turned around and stood on my tippy toes. I placed my arms on his shoulders to keep myself from falling over. Michael held onto my waist but didn't meet my gaze.

"Maybe I should wear yours." I breathed into his ear. His hands tightened around my waist, and I smiled smugly, getting the reaction that I wanted from him. I planted my feet back down, but he didn't remove himself from me. He pulled me closer and buried his face in the crook of my neck inhaling.

"Mmm, strawberries." he finally spoke up. He grazed his nose up my neck and stopped next to my ear and mumbled. "You definitely will!"

I thought he finished teasing me, but he bit my earlobe and tugged slightly, turning me into a bloody mess. "That's for licking me." He let me go entirely and moved to stand next to Jason, leaving me behind all hot and confused.

So much for teasing him, huh?

I pulled myself together; he wasn't going to get under my skin like that, I wouldn't allow it. Emily was throwing next. She missed Mason completely but hit Ashton's mattress causing him to stir.

"Watch and learn armatures."

I flicked my pony over my shoulder and stood in front of Michael. His body heat soothed me for some reason, and I was going to take full advantage of it, who knows how long his playful mood would last.

I aimed my pebble and hit Mason straight on the head, he bolted upright. I didn't bother throwing Ashton with one because Mason would wake him up shortly. My friends praised me and laughed.

"Who the hell threw me with a rock?" Mason yelled.

"Shut up, people are trying to sleep," Ashton yelled back. Both of them looked at each other, then around them and back at each other. They screamed so loud that there was an echo. We couldn't help but burst into a guffaw of laughter. They stopped screaming and looked at us when they heard our laughter. The looks on their faces held so much anger and embarrassment.

"Who did this?"

"It's not funny, get us out of here."

I smirked, while looking at them, I conducted a plan. Maybe I am an evil mastermind. I turned to Jason and Michael. "Challenge them to stand on those beds." They gave me a weird look and did what I said.

"I bet you guys can't stand on those beds." Jason challenged lamely.

"Theirs no way they could do it." Michael agreed with him. I rolled my eyes, are they serious.

"Michael and Jason will pay you both fifty bucks if you can stand on them longer than five minutes," I yelled to Mason and Ashton. They both looked at each other and started to bicker who was better.

"What? No way, off course they'll stand on those things. That crap is easy." Jason yelled at me.

"I ain't paying them shit!" Michael grumbled rudely. I ignored them and turned to the girls.

"Kate crouch down and pretend to tie your shoe and grab a few pebbles for the four of us." I turned to the two pouting babies and chuckled. "Keep those two talking."

Kate handed each three pebbles, and I gave out the orders. "You and Cassie take Ashton, and Emily and I will take Mason."

"Why do we have to take Ashton?" Kate grumbled. Cassie shot her a look, and I chuckled.

"Cassie and Ashton have a thing, Emily and Mason have a thing. Your boyfriend is next to you if you want to throw him with a rock be my guest but wait until were done." We all laughed, and Jason glared at me.

"What about you?"

"Me what?"

"The guy you like?" Kate smirked, nodding at Michael. I ignored the butterflies in my stomach and pointed at a snail.

"If I throw him with a rock hell die." Michael scowled and looked away from us.

"Okay, ladies throw them rocks. If you miss, you pay that person that stays on fifty bucks." I leaned over to Emily. "Please don't miss, I don't have fifty bucks."

She scoffed. "Have some confidence in me, babe."

I aimed at Masons head, and he ducked causing him to become unbalanced. Emily threw hers, and he lost his balance completely falling into the lake. His splash made Ashton unstable, and the girls took that chance to throw their pebbles, he also fell in. The six of us couldn't stop laughing at how funny they looked, but I felt bad, so I urged the girls on to push Michael and Jason in as well. Four angry and very irritated heads shot out of the water cursing loudly.

"What the actual F-" Michael started to yell, but I cut him off.

"Language!" he shot me a glare, and I winked at him.

Jason pouted, running his hands through his wet hair. "Baby, why would you do this to me?"

Kate chuckled and shrugged. "I thought you needed to cool off.

The girls and I turned around and walked back up to the table.

"Jason dry off quickly, I want my food."
