So I forgot to write about my lesson two weeks ago so this is going to be it. I rode Riley and I used my newer watermelon saddle pad. I warmed up in the indoor ring and did some no stirrups work at the walk and trot. Then my trainer started my lesson. I jumped some small verticals first. Then she set up an oxer that was around 3'3ish and I did a bending line from the oxer to a vertical to a pole. I had to get 3 strides from the oxer to the vertical and one stride to the pole. My trainer then had my shorten Riley's stride and make the 3 strides a 4 stride bending line. After the warm up we went outside for the first time this year!! The outdoor ring is all grass except for the rail and a shape like this * with the diagonal parts going from one corner to the other. This was the first time that I have ever ridden outside at this barn! I jumped an oxer about the same size as the one inside and I did a much harder turn to a log. then I had to turn right and go down one of the diagonal lines and get 5 strides. After I finished with that line I turned left and went up over the other diagonal line and finished up with the line down the middle and I stopped straight. That was the end of my lesson and I was then allowed to trot around the barn outside of the ring and do some small hill work. My lesson this past Tuesday was pretty much the same except instead of trotting around the barn, I trotted in one of the pastures up the hills. In one of the pastures there is a hill so tall that some astrological people had a stand up there because you can see for miles when you get to the top. I did not go up that one but I may be able to later in the summer! On another note, I think I only have 10 more full days of school! Not including exams...yay😑 I already did my French speaking part of my exam which was I picked a random card and I had to answer 5 question and another day I did the same thing but I had to ask the questions. For the answers the card said something like "I invite you to a sporting event and you cannot come, then we will discuss why," I ended up being able to talk about how I sick, health and personal id were the only units that I felt confident about. Then for the questions the card said "you invite me to go to the cafe and then we will talk about my food and drink preferences," you see the cafe/food unit was the only unit that I knew all of the questions to! I got really lucky for the speaking because I only got the ones that I knew! I got a 100% on the speaking part but now I have to study for the writing, yay... wait, how did this go from my riding lessons to my French exam?😂😂❤️
