Whatever act first established the means for my existence,

      awakening, I acknowledge and embrace each day

Within my heart, I carry my own chosen belief

      that allows me to, confidently, go my way

Giving what I can, only taking what I need,

      doing what needs doing, saving time for fun

Treating all as equals, in spite of what they do,

      and with weightless heart, retiring, when each day is done

Life is not a measure of how I'm treated by the world,

      it is how I chose to live it - expectation free

Success and failures along the way, choices that I bear,

      were also filled with the joy and love that makes me, me

So, I suppose in summing up, my belief is nothing new,

      no precise philosophy, theology, or any other school

Just simply a way of facing life, accepting all as one,

      adhering to, and practising, the Golden Rule
