Flora's POV(Ashley's mother):

Where's that girl hiding? It is already sun down yet she had yet to come back! Did she run away because she did not find her mate? Did she went partying at a bar 10 streets from here instead of finding her mate? Did she get injured or kidnapped? Oh my! Did my little baby get killed? No no noooo!

"Flora, calm down. You're giving me a headache by pacing around." Scott shook his head a he laid on our bed.

"How can I calm down?! Our baby girl is out there at this timing, no protection, nothing! How can you call yourself a father!" I burst at his anxiously.

"Babe, noting will happen to Ash. She is a big girl now. Let her be. We can't always be watching out her every move. One day she will meet her mate and move out with him to have their own life."He sigh as he pulled me down on our bed while massaging my shoulders.

"But what if she gets hurt? I don't want to lose my baby." He chuckled at my words, causing me to give him a death glare.

"What? Don't stare at me like that. She will be fine ok? She has her wolf and Alpha blood. One day she will be as powerful as us when I pass on the Alpha title to her and her mate, maybe she will be even stronger than both of us combined." He convinced.

"True....but which mother would stop worrying about her babies? Especially her one and only one?" After I had Ashley, the doctor said that I could not have any more pups for some unknown reason. We did not believe at first and tried many times to have another pup but nothing ever happened.

"Shush my love. She will be back soon,okay?" Scott wrapped his arms around me as he replayed the joyful memories we had since we mated to the day we had Ashley and the times spent in my mind through the mind-link. Snuggling into my big and fuzzy teddy bear, sleep was soon taking over my mind when we heard our daughter's footsteps in the living room. Praise the mighty werewolf hearing.

I leaped off the bed and ran down the stairs with Scott in my tail.

"Hi mum. Hi dad." She smiled as she wrapped her arms around us.

"What took you so long kiddo? You almost gave your mum a heart attack." Scott joked as a blush crept up to her cheeks.

"Wait...don't tell me...you found your mate?!" I guessed excitedly.

"Um...yes?" She blushed as she played with the strands of her hair.

"Oh my goodness! Is he hot? How does he look like? What position is his rank?" "WHAT! Which idiot is your mate?!" Me and Scott gushed out at the same time.

"He is hot...He is just the hottest guy on the planet. He is so kind, cute, caring, humorous and wow..." Ash says dreamily as her eyes clouded over with love and adoration.

"Wow...that's so cute! When can we meet him?" I asked excitedly. My baby had finally found her mate!

"Um...I don't know...Maybe when we get to know more about each other?" She replied unsurely.

"Okie! But it better be quick! Me and your dad want grandpups soon! Right dear?"

"Yeah...wWhat? No! I don't-" Before he can even complete his sentence, I nudged him hard in his ribs warningly causing him to clear his throat and correct his sentence.

"Of course we want grandpups baby girl. Just...make sure your sure." Ashley chuckled a little at Scott's remark and nodded.

"So what pack his he from? What rank?"

"He is the Alpha of the Blue Knights Pack." Ashley said proudly.

"WHAT?! ALPHA OF THE BLUE KNIGHTS PACK?!" Scott roared surprisingly as he banged his fist on the dining table. Shit...this is going to be bad.

"Yah? What wrong about it?"

"You can't mate with him. I don't allow it! He is our enemy! If you decide to mate with him, I suggest you think twice. I won't think twice about disowning you if you mate with him. You mating with him will cause the pack's to go into war." Shit...

"What?! What the hell dad?! Why shouldn't I mate with my mate?! He is mine! "

"You don't understand Ashley." Scott sigh deeply as he dropped himself on the couch.

"Then explain to me, why?"

"It happened year ago..."

Jace's POV:

"After since they signed the agreement between both of our packs, we are not allowed to cross over to each other's pack land or will be immediately executed without any words, be it female or male. So now you got it." Dad summarised the whole history between our pack and the Blue Knights pack.

"But it doesn't make any sense. That was between them, not us! They are also already dead!" 

"It is not only between your grandparents and them but also me. They killed my mother and I will not let it go that easily. If it wasn't for the stupid agreement my dad and they had came up, I would had killed the entire pack already!" Dad growled furiously with pitch black eyes.

"Calm down Honey." Mum stood up and wrapped her arms around dad, making dad calm down significantly. "And Jace, I think you should heed your father's command. You should keep a distance from your mate." Mum said softly.

"Keep away from my mate despite the fact that it hurts like fuck?! She is my mate! I wouldn't allow any other males going up to her and taking what's mine! It's either she comes here or I go there!"

"And cause a war between our packs due to your selfish reasons?!"

"I don't care, dad! What if mum was from that pack? Would you do whatever it takes to get mum or just ignore her when you know the love of your life is just there, waiting for you? Of course you would not leave her there! Would you?!"

"NO!"

"Exactly! Why would I leave my mate when I had found her!"

"Because you are going to get us killed!"

"No...not me dad. I am not going to get anyone killed. You are. Your generation is. "

"How dare you say that to me?! Just because I gave you the Alpha position doesn't mean that you make a great leader."

"Corrections father, you gave it to me because you knew I would be able to lead the pack well or you would not had given the position to me at the first place and if you want me to be even better than now, you would just have to accept my mate or the pack will be without a Luna, a mother figure towards them!"

"I still wouldn't accept you seeing your mate! If I see her anywhere in our pack's land, don't say I did not warn you as I will kill her no matter the consequences."

"You wouldn't dare."

"Oh really? Try me then." He smirks confidently at me.

"You know what? Fuck you! You are the worst father on earth! I hate you!"

"Jace! Apologise to your father now!" Mum chided as she held onto my currently wavering father.

"No. He threatens my mate, he threatens me." Turning away, I shifted and sped down the muddy paths in the forest, running my frustrations away.

I will not leave you my love, not after I had just found you. I will not lose you.

Ashley's POV:

"Why did our pack kill the previous ex- Alpha female?"

"My father was the reason. He was a possessive and obsessive Alpha male. When he met her, he fell in love with her immediately and wanted her to be his but she is not his mate and denied him repeatedly until one day she hit him hard. Losing the battle to his uncontrolled anger, he forced himself on her and that's how I'm here." Tears fell from dad's cheeks as he recalled the past.

"But how did our pack ended up killing your mum?"

"It wasn't the pack that killed my mum. My dad was the one who killed her himself." He spat out emotionlessly.

"Why? I thought you said he loved her?"

"He did but when he found out she was having me, he held her captive until I was born. Once he had me, he hardly paid attention to mum any more, allowing mum to escape his grasp and finding herself her mate who accepted her without second thoughts. They mated and dad found out. He went berserk and went to hunt her down but only finding her a year later due to the lack of informations.When he knew mum had bared her mate a pup, he went into rage and killed her on the spot."

"I'm so sorry dad.How was it talked out? From there? Her mate should be very mad."

"He was. He was so mad that he attacked our pack but lost as thy were weakened greatly after the loss of their Luna so dad managed to triumph easily. Not wanting any more bloodshed, they came up with that agreement which my dad surprisingly agreed with." Wow...that's a lot of drama..

"So until now, no one from their pack had crossed our borders?"

"None wanted any unnecessary bloodshed."

"Do they hate us?"

"Obviously. My dad killed their Luna and the pack's ex Alpha, my mum's other son hates us to the core."

"So he is your half-brother?"

"You can say so..."

"Oh...but what will happen if I went to see my mate?"

"They will kill you. That's why I don't allow you to meet your mate."

"But I can't stay away from him dad...he's my mate."

"I know he's your mate but would you want to get killed by them and cause a war between our packs just because you want to see your mate? Are you that selfish?"

"I am not selfish dad, I just want to be with him. I can't leave him dad. I love him already."

"It's for your safety baby girl. So I'm going to do this."

"Do what?"

"This. I Scott March, Alpha of the Blue Knights pack, forbids Ashley March from going to the lands of the Dark Nights pack. So without my permission, she is not allowed to even take a step into their lands." Dad announced in his Alpha tone, immediately stripping me off my chance from seeing Jace tomorrow.

"How could you?"

"I'm sorry baby girl, I have to protect you-"

"You don't have too protect me dad! I'm big enough to know what's right and what's wrong! You can't control me, not to say, forbid me! Dad, please take the command off, I beg you dad, please."

"No. I can't do it." He said firmly as he looked away with his arms crossed.

"I hate you. I fucking hate you dad!" I lashed out at him furiously before running out of the pack house in my wolf form.

I'm still going to see you Jace, one way or another.
