He Cried For Peace
Don't worry about the title :)
Henrik was still thinking in depth about what Marvin had told him last night.
After Marvin had finished, the doctor had just walked out of the room without a word. Marvin didn't seem worried, though. He knew he was just thinking.
Nothing made sense.
Then again, it all made sense.
He didn't want to believe any of it, though. Was this Marvin's idea of some sick joke? A prank? Henrik wouldn't exactly be surprised if it was but . . . . . . he knew it wasn't.
'If it's not . . . is Anti brainwashing zhem? But then again . . . Anti VAS acting strangely zhe other day. . . . it doesn't make sense. But Marvin's explanation does and I would trust him zhe most not to get brainwashed.'
Henrik sighed. He had gone to his room and was sitting on his bed cross-legged. He didn't usually sit like this unless he was stressed. He had to think carefully about what his next move would be.
'But also now we have Sean as a problem. Doesn't exactly surprise me. He's been chronically depressed and craving so much attention lately from his fans. Is this his way of trying to deal with it? If so, it's severely unhealthy. Using us in such a way is not alright and he needs to know zhis. Should I speak with him first?'
Henrik knew that wasn't a good idea. The more he thought about it, the worse of an idea it was, 'And Chase is not a good option, either. And Evelien doesn't deserve the drama. I need someone else's opinion on zhis before I do anything . . . . .'
Anti stretched in his bed. He had a horrible headache but the more his brain woke up, he figured he could take a Tylenol or something.
"Finally awake, sleeping beauty?"
Anti flinched but recognized the voice, "Mmmmmm.. . . hey"
"Don't you 'HEY' me!" Jackie took one of Anti's pillows and flung it at him.
"Ow! Hey! What was that for?!" Anti shot up. He was still groggy but more confused than anything as he tried to figure out what was going on.
Jackie looked mad. . . at him.
'Uh-oh. What'd I do?' Anti cowered into the bed. He wasn't exactly afraid for his life but Jackie was scary when mad.
"You got drunk last night! I found you at the bar a couple blocks away. You're lucky I put a tracker in that walkie talkie!"
"You did what? Why?" Anti laughed at that. He didn't think Jackie was making much sense, "Why would you be so worried about me going out and drinking? It's not the first time I've gone out and gotten wasted"
"Because you were WITH CHASE, YOU FUCKING IDIOT!"
Anti froze.
But the more he thought about it . . . he did remember sitting next to someone that seemed to hate him.
'Oh god' yeah, he remembered now.
"Shit" Anti rubbed at his head, "Was it bad?"
Jackie waved his arms around dramatically, "Hell if I know! I managed to just come in and nab ya just as you were LEANING YOUR FUCKING HEAD ON HIS SHOULDER BEING ALL DOPY AND SAD!"
"Oh Jaysus" Anti hated himself right now, "I guess I do tend to get touchy and emotional when drunk. I-"
"The worst part . . . I don't know what you had already said to him"
Anti just shrugged, getting up off the bed and stretching, "Well I know I wouldn't have told him where I live so that secret's kept safe"
"Secret? Anything you're hiding I need to know about?" Jackie crossed his arms at him.
Anti actually thought about it. Should he tell him? If he did, would Sean find out?
More importantly, what would Jackie do with this knowledge?
'I don't know. . . . . He HAS changed a lot now. More relaxed, that is. Maybe I should tell him. It's about HIM, after all . . and the others'
"Uh. . hello?" Jackie looked worried now, "Anti? ARE you keeping secrets?"
"I . . . .Well there IS something you should know. But Sean never told ya . . so you have to not use it around him or the others just yet, alright? Marvin's alright but no one else for now"
"Use it? Use what? What are you on about?"
Anti sighed, "You probably don't have much time left to stay here so I'll cut right to the facts. You have a certain ability Sean's been keeping from you. And it's because you're special since Sean created you just after me. Marvin was next so Sean made sure not to include-"
"Will you just spit it out already!?"
"You can use lightning and glitch similar to me!"
.
.
Silence.
.
.
"WHAT?!"
"You should probably get going now"
"NO! NOW HOLD ON JUST A FUCKING SECOND!" Jackie freaked out, "What do you mean by that!?"
Anti shrugged, "Honestly, I had thought you'd figure it out on your own but I guess not.. . . . have you never tried?"
Jackie stared at his hands. Thinking about it, "Uh . . . I guess not. How do I . . . do it?"
Anti blinked at him and shrugged, "I don't know. You ever shocked yourself before? It's kinda feels like that but all over. It's like tensing your muscles like you would socks on the carpet and then suddenly it just happens. I don't know."
"Fat lot of help you are. That made absolutely NO sense"
"Eh. Maybe you'll figure it out. Now that you know you have the ability, you could-"
"Hey, why didn't you tell me about this when we first talked? Or anytime after that? Why now?"
"I'm a coward, Jackie. I had to make sure you wouldn't use it against me. Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna swallow down some Tylenol, eat a big breakfast and sleep all day"
Jackie groaned but gave in, "Fine . . . I'll see you later, then. Try staying out of trouble, will ya?" he shoved Anti lightly, "How about you just buy your OWN liquor instead and drink at home?"
"Well that seems even MORE sad"
Jackie just snorted, "See ya. I'll try figuring out your little trick later here"
"Good luck! Try not to electrocute anyone!"
The hero glared at him but left without another word.
He had even more to wonder about now.
Chase was pissed. He was livid.
He was never one to forget what happened to him when he was drunk.
And he didn't last night, either.
'In a way, I guess I should be happy' Chase snorted at his own words. He had made it home in Sean's head the night before but it only took a few moments after he woke to remember.
'That son of a bitch . . . prancing around right in front of me!' he could have slammed his own head in the wall right there, 'I'm so fucking stupid! Why didn't I shoot him, then!?'
He knew why. He was as drunk as a fucking skunk and his brain decided not to care at the time. He had been mourning too much and let Anti get the better of him!
'He won't be laughing now, though. I heard what he told that bartender. There's only one apartment building close to that bar. I know just where to find him now'
The question was now, did he tell Sean first or wait until AFTER he killed him?
'But if I tell Sean now, there's a big chance he won't let me go after him. He'll just send Jackie or Marvin. WHO ARE ON ANTI'S FUCKING SIDE NOW! I SHOULD HAVE FUCKING SEEN IT COMING!'
It all came back to him, hitting him like a truck.
'How long? How long have they been under his brainwashing? His manipulation? Is it too late to save them now? He's picking us off one by one! No. I can't go to Sean yet'
He took his gun out from under his pillow, checking to see if it was fully loaded.
His breathing was labored from his anger and his fists shook in his rage, 'This is it.'
"I'm coming after you, Antisepticeye"
Downstairs, he heard the door shut and could hear Jackie's voice calling to everyone that he was back after patrol.
'Patrol, my ass. He was plotting with Anti. But this is good. It just means Jackie will be one less obstacle for me to cross when killing the glitch-bitch. He's gonna pay for everything he's done to me AND my family!'
Sean never even bothered to plead YouTube to take the age-restriction off his newest Anti video. Maybe it was too violent looking anyway.
He was sure his fans were upset but for once, he couldn't care less.
'I can't stop thinking about him . . . . why didn't he attack us before? I tried to make him go for it. Did he catch on that it was a trick. Was that why he forced himself away? Whatever the case, it doesn't matter . . . .' he was looking at his channel analytics, staring them down.
He was losing views. His gaming videos weren't as popular as they used to be.
'Everyone just wants to watch me for them. My egos. That's why I need to give them more action. They won't get hurt. They trust me in that. I'll at least tell them about it this time, though. And then Anti can stay out of this one. Then again, seeing us all together might just anger him enough to drive him out finally'
He was sure this was what Anti wanted. It had to be.
Why else wait so long from attacking like so long ago?
True, Sean had strung him along those times, too. Except for the possessions. Those were all Anti. Sean just didn't want his egos to get hurt anymore. Anti had gone too far with possessing them.
' . . . .. I'm such a fucking loser . . . . . . It won't matter. Eventually, I'll disappear off the internet and no one will care. This will all be for nothing. . . . .. I just. . . I just have to keep them safe, now. We can figure out the rest later'
Sean looked over on his wall. There it was again. His old Sam Septiceye plushie sitting on the shelf.
'I wish things could just go back to the way they were before.. . . . I'm sorry, Sam. I should have been better. It's my fault, you're dead'
Anti was in his living room lounging on his couch waiting for his lasagna in the oven to finish baking. He had gotten a call from Marvin earlier saying he wouldn't be able to come over. He was still trying to work on something.
Anti didn't know what this something was. He was curious but didn't inquire. It was fine, anyway. This just meant Anti had the day to himself to chill and relax.
Could he, though?
He didn't have a lot of time before-
'KNOCK KNOCK'
Anti flinched.
'That's weird . . . . no one usually knocks on my door. Is it the landlord? Shit, did I forget to pay them?'
Anti roll off his couch with a heavy groan, "I'm coming! Be right there!"
He still had a roaring headache from last night but it was slowly going away with the more food and rest he got. He should be all up to par by tomorrow!
Anti yawned, opening the door.
Not expecting a gun to his chest.
Chase was glaring at him.
At his door in front of him. With a gun trained on him.
Anti's fear spiked, "Ch-chase?"
"You piece of shit" Chase walked closer and Anti backed up, allowing the man to walk in and slam the door shut behind him. Locking them inside together.
Anti raised his hands up defensively, "I . . . . Ch-Chase . . .please. Y-you don't understand"
"Oh, I understand perfectly" he snorted, "You're manipulating my brothers and you even tried to manipulate me last night. What stopped you, huh? What stopped you from brainwashing me? Couldn't get in my head like you thought so you decided to run? Good choice."
He took the safety off his gun, "What you have up your sleeve now, glitch bitch?"
Anti couldn't stop shaking. His teeth were chattering, "I . . please. I. It's not what you-"
"YOU THINK YOU CAN SWAY ME WITH YOUR FUCKING NONSENSE WORDS!? YOU MURDERED MY FAMILY! YOU TRIED TO KILL MY BROTHERS AND SEAN! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A MONSTER!"
Chase dug the barrel deeper into Anti's skin, "And I'll put you down like one"
"Please just listen! Sean's the one who-"
'BANG!'
Anti froze. He heard a ringing in his ears.
A sharp pain in his stomach. Chase had lowered the gun. Why? Surely he knew shooting his chest would kill him immediately?
'Oh . . . I see' Anti felt himself falling, 'He wants me to suffer . . . . feel myself fade away . . . . .'
But Chase was shaking.
'Why is he shaking? Is he scared? Excited?'
Anti was on his back and he held his hands down on his stomach to try and hold off the bleeding. He could feel something warm come up his throat. His own blood.
"Ch-Chase" his voice came out a bit garbled but it was clear enough.
But he wasn't going to stay. No, Chase felt he had done enough.
Anti cried, his tears blurring his vision but he still saw the same hate on Chase's face, "Pl-please . . . I just . . . . wanted . . . . .to help y-you"
He couldn't say anymore. Chase just turned and ran out of the apartment, locking the door behind him so no one could run in to check on him. It'd be too late by the time they got the door opened.
But Anti wasn't going to give up.
No matter how painful it was, he turned on his stomach and forced himself to crawl to his couch.
The walkie talkie was just right there. He had to get to it.
Before he. . . . .
He was losing so much blood, smearing it across the floor as he crawled.
'Please . . . . I can . . still make it . . .'
He cried out as he forced himself to sit up by the couch and managed to grab the walkie talkie.
Only for it to fall on the ground and a noise blared from it like static.
'Is it . . . . broken? Oh . . . . . . . . . I fucked up again, huh?'
Anti leaned on the front of the couch, his head resting on the seat of the cushion. Blood saturated his clothing and no matter how much he tried to stop the bleeding, it wasn't enough.
"Th-this is it, I guess . . . . . h-he g-got me . . . .N-not a bad way to die, I guess. Heh . . . . .Sean lost h-his big b-bad villain" he chuckled but cried out again in pain and soon his tears took over.
"I d-don't wanna die . . . p-please . . . . . I . . I don't . ."
But his vision was fading fast.
He didn't have much time left.
CLIFFHANGERS! MWUAHAHAHAHA!!!! 😈
