*Anna's p.o.v.*

It was really depressing when I found out that Alex will be going overseas for some business purposes.

I am not gonna lie but I really have a thing for Alex that I have never felt before, call me stupid for falling in love with someone who is 10 years older than me but come on he is too perfect to not fall for.

Alex and I have been texting for a while, but the problem here is that it's always me who texts first and he just replies to the text. I am not sure if he is really interested or he is just being polite.

Moreover I am too scared to talk to Jade about it since I am not sure how to tell her about my feelings for him.

She can be pretty intimidating but she never neglects me when I am in problem, which I am always in. All I know is that her is a very sensitive topic for her so I don't want to do anything that will hurt her.

But I guess I have to discuss about it sooner or later... But till then let me cherish these moments.

Well back to my stupid brother who seems to be madly in love with my best friend. And apparently Jade doesn't give a fuck about it which is sad.

Then again Jade doesn't give a fuck about anyone's existence, I still am not sure if she really considers me a friend or it's just me dragging her around.

She is hard to read but the more you spend time with her the more transparent she becomes which is crazy. I might not know what is going on in that head of hers but sure know what she feels.

Soon I heard the door open and saw Xavier come in..

"Omg! You are back. So how was tha date." I jumped in excitement. But soon turned to frown.

"Xav. You okay?"

He shook his head biting his lips trying hard not to cry. I soon hugged him. And that's when he broke. He sobbed hard burying his face.

It broke my heart.

"Xav. What happened? Please tell me."

"I don't know. Everything was going perfect but suddenly something happened and Jade's mood took 360 degree turn and now she doesn't even wanna see my face." He said trying hard not to cry but failed.

"How? Like are you sure nothing happened? Cause she doesn't go through mood swings like that. Maybe you forgot. Try to remember." I asked.

"I don't know. It was all perfect but within a snap of finger everything changed. I-I thought I was getting closer to her but that's when she proved me wrong. It's like I know nothing about her." He broke down again. I hugged him again rubbing his back trying to comfort him.

But why would she do that?

"Oh Xav! It's fine we will figure it out together. It's gonna be alright. Shh." I kept saying comforting words till he finally calmed down.

"Okay now go get some shower. You look like shit."

"Thanks." He whispered and left.

Why? Why would she do something like this to him?

Can't she see he loves her? Why is she so blind?

But when I think of her eyes I can't bring myself to blame her. They were always cold as ice even though they are jade in color they are still cold. Anybody with eyes can tell how numb and dead she is in the inside.

But why?

I tried to ask her once but—

~Flashback~

"Hey Jady! Can I ask you something?" I asked as we sat on the kitchen island doing our homework.

"Hmm." She hummed as she was busy flipping through the pages of the text book.

"No offense but why are you so cold? I mean did something ever happen before or something that made you cold—" Before I could finish I found her eyes snapped at me looking with eyes as cold as I have ever seen.

"What makes you think like that?" She asked coldly.

"I was just—" She cuts me off.

"Don't. I don't wanna hear bullshits anymore. We have better things to do. So snap out of it." With that I dropped the topic knowing it won't end well.

When Jade says she is done with the topic she is done. Never bring it up again.

~Flashback ends~

I sighed not knowing what to do.

Soon Danny appeared and we tried our best to cheer Xav up but it didn't seem to work since it was clear that he missed her and there was nothing we could do.

We decided to watch a movie to clear Xav's mind a bit. But soon were interrupted by Xav's phone ringing.

"Hey! Alex." Xav said.

...

"No. She is at home. Why? Is everything okay?" 
...

"What do you mean?" He jumped.

...

Soon I noticed Xavier's face grow pale. I frowned not knowing what there were talking about.

Is everything okay? Is Jade okay? Why does he look so worried?

Lord I just hope she is okay?
