*Xavier's p.o.v*

Currently Anna and I are chilling at Danny's place. You see his parents are out of town for a while so like everyone else he sure is gonna trash up the whole place and fix it before his parents arrives.

We sat on the couch watching Netflix while Danny was in the kitchen preparing snacks.

"Yo Freak Show! Where are the popcorns?" Anna yelled at Danny.

"In the corn field. Go get yourself." He yelled back while Anna frowned.

Danny came with a nachos, popcorns and some soft drinks. As we started watching 'Game of Thrones.'

"Holy moly." Anna yelled in between the series looking at her phone with her eyes wide open (I am worried if they would pop out) and her jaw down to earth.

"What happened now grandma?" Danny said lazily.

"First, I am not a grandma. And Second, did you realize, you and Jady are neighbors?"

"Wait! What? Seriously?" I jumped in shock.

"Yep. You heard me right. They are neighbors."

"Anna what are you talking about? I dropped her to her house. If they were neighbors I would have recognized the neighborhood. Come on. I think you have a misunderstanding." I assured.

"Yeah! Exactly if she was my neighbor I sure would have known that." Danny shrugged.

"You idiot. Even if the sky falls, I am pretty much sure you still would have been wondering around asking people what happened. Like seriously you don't even remember your name when you wake up in the morning." She argued with Danny and turned towards me. "You didn't recognize because Jady lives in the neighborhood behind this one. And you have to take a different route to enter there. Look." She showed me the phone screen which showed exactly where Angel was currently.

I gasped. "Wow! That's cool. We really are neighbors." Danny said snatching the phone from her as his mouth fell open in O.

"Hey why not visit her!" Danny jumped suggesting.

I don't know if I should be happy or depressed. Like you can see Angel and Danny have been close since the very first day. I have seen them whispering to one another multiple times. And it seems as if they know quite alot about each other, maybe more than I know about them.

I sort of felt bad, maybe jealous. But happy that she was really opening up.

We didn't waste any time and left for Angel's house. Well I hope she likes a surprise visit.

'Ding Dong'.....

We press the bell wait for her to open the door. I could hear clapping footsteps on the wooden floor getting more and more closer.

After the click the door knob twisted and the slowly the door open.

She opened the door with her eyes half closed. It's seems like she was sleeping.

"What are you guys doing here?" She asked with her usual cold tone.

"Oh! Guess what JJ? We are neighbors." Danny raised his hand for a high five. JJ was the name Danny gave her. I don't know why.

Well as expected Angel didn't respond it.

"So you just realized it now?" Angel tilted her head.

"Yes?" Anna and Danny in unison.

"Idiots." She spoke under her breath. "Congratulations. You guys are the last one to know that." She shrugged.

"Sssooooo?" I stretched it.

"So?" Angel asked.

"We just came to see you. If you don't mind?" I said awkwardly.

She sighed and waved her hand gesturing us to come inside.

It was a beautiful house with the living room have a white themed or you can say white toned. It was not as large as ours, but it was really warm and comfy.

Anna rushed it, running around the house. Danny made is way directly towards the kitchen. And I sat there on the couch.

"So, were is Alex?" I said rubbing my hands and making myself comfortable on the couch.

"Still at work. So what do you want to eat?" She asked coldly.

"Nothing really. Thanks."

She nodded. And that's when Danny came out of the kitchen with tons of snacks in this hands.  I face palm knowing he was just impossible.

"Yo JJ! You have loads of food stuffed in your fridge." He grins like a little kid.

Angel just rolled her eyes. She looked a bit tired making me feel bad as I was the reason why she had to wake up.

"Umm....sorry. I mean we woke you up." I apologized.

"No. It's fine. I was about to wake up the make dinner anyways." With that said she left for kitchen.

Anna has already been here before so she knows quite a lot of things about this house.

I sat there with Danny by my side, eating like there is no tomorrow. Danny doesn't really do it everywhere he goes but if you are his best friend then your house becomes his house. Like seriously.

Anna came out with a grey blanket in her hand.

"JADEY I AM USING YOUR BLANKET AND HURRY UP WE ARE WATCH MOVIES." Anna yelled.

"You guys start I will join you soon." Angel replied.

"OKAY!"

Anna jumped on the couch next to me. Right now she was seated between me and Danny. She then grabbed the remote and went to Netflix with the blanket still in her arms.

"Which one?" She asked as she offered to share the blanket. I gladly took it.

I trace the soft woolen fabrics with my hands as Danny and Anna both were too busy in selecting the movie.

I brought one end of the blanket near my face and inhaled the beautiful scent. Her scent. It was so pure and something beyond explanation. It felt as if she was right next to me. In my arms. I can't describe how much I envy this blanket. How can this non-living object get so stay this close to her while I have to maintain a decent number of distance? It gets to wrap itself around her at night while I miss her. And sleep empty at night.

That's when I noticed one of the walls in the living room. A wall with stairs connected to it.

There were dozens of pictures.

I slowly walked towards it and take a good glance of each pictures, subconsciously climbing the stairs.

There are loads of pictures. There were two kids in most pictures which I assume are Angel and Alex. Their pictures with a woman I assume is Angel's mother because you see Angel looks like the junior version of that woman. Though she must have been old, yet she looked young and vibrant. She really was a pretty woman. That explains where Angel get her beauty from. There were lot of out pictures of Angel and Alex winning prices in many competitions, which mostly were of either music, instruments or dance. And one picture of Angel doing ballet.

I really couldn't believe it. It was like there were lot of Angel life pieces that were missing or pieces I had no idea about.

But there was this one thing that was missing, they were there in the photographs but not at present. And that was her smile. In all the pictures she had a bright smile that could make anyone's day amazing. The bright rays coming from her were like life for the lifeless, light for the dark. She laughed and smiled in the pictures. She seemed really very happy. Then why not now? What really happened that she became like this? And most importantly where is her father?

Never have I ever heard of about him from her. She mentioned about her mom but never about her father.

There were tons of questions revolving round my head, yet no way to find the answers.

Without realizing I came to the top stairs. And there where like couple of doors there which I think are the bedrooms and other random rooms. But one of the doors where wide open and I could see the room. It looked like it was a girls room. And I knew the only girl in this house was my Angel. Without realizing anything my feets started moving on it's own. I enter to see a beautiful room.

The room was covered with LED lights, random posters on the wall, on the roof, couple of stuffed toys, etc....

It was small. But for some reasons it was damn comfy, like I belong in here. The whole room smelled like her. Her scent was in the air. I take a share inhale, and let the sweet scent dissolve in my veins along with my blood.

I was too busy in letting myself get carried away that I didn't even notice her enter.

"Did you need something?" A sweet voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

I turned around to find my beautiful angel staring at me.

"No-I just. Nothing...umm...washroom. Yes washroom." I stuttered trying to find a reason to say.

She pointed at a door on my right. I nodded muttering 'thank you'. And ran inside.

After awhile I came out. And she was still there searching something in one of her drawers. Then I see her taking out a DVD.

She turned around and asked, "You done?". I just nodded.

We both walked out of her room. As we walked down the stairs I felt the sudden urge to ask her so I did.

"That must be you." I said pointing at one of the picture.

She stopped and looked at the picture nodded.

"And is that your mother?" I pointed at that ladies picture.

"Yeah." She whispered under her breath coldly.

"She is beautiful." I praised looking at her.

She let out a humorless chuckled. "What is the use of the beauty that becomes the reason for your own destruction?" She said.

I stare at her silently. "What happened to her?" I asked curiously.

"She is dead." Her cold words struck me hard.

"How?"

"Accident." She said quickly trying to leave.

"Angel." I stopped her before she could leave. "Umm...you see there are pictures of you, Alex and your mother. But where is your father?" I finally asked.

She stiffened for awhile and turned around as her forest green I held the cold look. She stared at me for awhile and shifts her gaze on the pictures.

"He doesn't exists." With that said she tried leaving.

"Angel." I stopped her again. I know I am pushing her, but I need to know.

She turned around again but this time her eyes held icy cold gaze. The same gaze that she held the day when I first saw her. Up until now she some what warmed up with us but it was like the all Jade was back.

"There is a thing that is there in pictures but now." I said calmly.

She tilted her head asking for an answer.

"It's your smile." I said smiling. She stiffened again but soon relaxed. She looked a bit shook but covered it within no time.

"Why don't you smile anymore? Why is the Jade that is smiling in the pictures not here anymore? Why?"

"The last time I checked you are not my questioner to ask me such questions. And don't you think you really are butting too much in others business?" Her voice was cold and emotionless. It's like she didn't really bother what I felt. It ran a shiver down my spine.

"I just wanted to kno-" She cuts me off.

"Don't."

And she left.....

I felt guilty for what I did. Even though we are friends I somehow knew that I didn't stand in a place to know everything about her. She is like a closed book. It's too hard for her to open up. And I know I am taking it too fast. I know I should keep patience and wait for her to warm up to me enough to share her feelings with me.

Currently Angel was making dinner for us while Danny and Anna were watching movies.
Where as I was following Angel like a lost puppy.

I offered her my help but she declined. She I just kept following her. I knew she knew I was following her.

"Okay. You can stop that you know?" She finally spoke after the whole incident.

"But I wanna help. And moreover I wanna spend more time with you." I pouted like a child.

She sighed and walked towards the fridge. I saw her grab some vegetables like cucumbers, carrots, etc. She then washed them and gave them to me, as she handed a knife and a chopping board along with it.

"Here. Prepare the salad." She said. And I jumped in happiness like a 5 year old kid when he gets a chocolate.

I start making the salad.

"Soo?" I started.

"So?"

"So are you free this Friday?" I asked awkwardly.

"Why?" She asked with her gaze still down as she cooked the chicken dish she was making.

"Fine. I will be straight to the point." I paused and took a sharp inhale of confidence. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" I finally said.

She stopped what she was doing and looked at me for awhile. And said, "No".

I felt heart broken. But I knew I wasn't giving up until she says yes.

"Pretty please. It's just a date. Please." I begged like a small kid.

"Why would you wanna take me to a date?" She narrowed her eyes.

"I just wanna take you to bunch of places. Please." I pouted.

She stared at me for awhile and sigh. "I guess I am free this Friday." She just shrugged.

Her words made me just in excitement like a kid. I hugged her tight and kept saying 'thank you' a zillion times.

I promise Angel that I will bring back the lost girl. The girl who smiled and laughed. The girl who actually lived not survived. I will teach how to love again, I will teach you how to understand. I will make you the girl you buried deep inside.

And it's a promise that I will keep.....

Soo how was this chapter?

I know I took like forever to update but what can I do *sob* I had so much school works to do *sob*. But I promise the next updates will be regular.
