Description: Sanah Shekhawat ( Padukone) is a normal girl with some dreams. She soon finds herself in mumbai following her dream, which is to be radio jockey. Luck seems to be on her side as she lands herself job in a popular radio station. It all seemed like a dream, but with a problem. She finds herself homeless in an unknown city as she left her job because of some reasons. Until she gets a home, her colleuge tells her to live with her. As Sanah tries to look for a house, she faces the 'akeli ladki in mumbai' crisis.  After a lot of house hunting, she finds a perfect house for her, but the landlady says that she can only rent the place to a married couple. Out of desperation, Sanah lies that she is engaged and her husband will soon join her after their marriage.

Sanah finds herself in a fix where she is unable to find herself a suitable fake 'husband' to carry on this sham. When the frustated Sanah goes to a bar, she bumps in Avinay Mathur ( Singh). A sophisticated and charming young man. Two beers in and Sanah pours her heart out to Avinay.

The next day a sober sanah calls Avinay to apologise and Avinay agrees to be her fake husband, leaving an ecstatic Sanah on the other side of the call. After a lot of tests Sanah finalisis Avinay as her fake husband.

Soon the fake wedding registry takes place and avinay keeps juggling with his real life and the life with sanah. Which at first tires Avinay,but soon its becomes the reason of Avinay's happiness. He finds herself falling for Sanah. But suddenly Sanah takes the decision to end the sham.
