Rehan(Kapur) is a famous painter. But that's not the only thing he is famous for. His 'zero fucks to give' attitude has became a real pain in the ass for the media and his management. But that's the things that makes him famous. He vents out all his anger, frustation and anger in his paintings which becomes instantly popular. But that doesn't help the turmoil inside him. He doesn't even know the the meaning of peace anymore.

A young budding writer, Tara (Chopra) is given chance by Rehan's managament to write his autobiography. But since without Rehan's help and everyone else not knowing Rehan's past makes it impossible to write his autobiography.

With very difficulty Tara get Rehan to open to him and thats how she gets to know about Shreya(Kapoor Khan), a woman he fell in love with. She was older than him and way more mature. He was just a boy with brush in his hands that time. He tried to steer away from her, but her charismatic aura made it difficult for him. He fell more and more in love with her. But then one day she just left. That day, Rehan made a promise to himself to be worthy of her and now here he was. He tried to find her everywhere but couldn't find her.

Tara makes a little promise to him that he will help her find Shreya. Tara and Rehan develop a friendship, which makes Rehan act better with everyone and help Tara write his autobiography. But Unbeknown to Tara, she falls for Rehan. After finishing the last page, she names the biography "The Devil Within"

It was time for her to help him find his love. But how could she? Since she was in love with him.
