I dozed off
tucked in my dreams,
waiting for my prince
to take me with him.

I was flying high
like an Albatross
above the zenith sky.

Happy & content
looking down at a cruise,
I saw them clicking me
and cheering for my wellbeing.

A sudden shot came
and I went falling down
ringing in my ears
I heard the painful cries.

I opened my eyes
to see the daylight,
and realised
it was just my alarm
which blew up a bit too high.

I smiled while rubbing my eyes,
thinking about the funny things
which we derive from our lives.

But when I looked up
at the plastered wall,
I saw his hideous smile
once more.

Coming closer to my bed,
like a dagger
it has created pure bloodshed.

I tremble with fear
as I hear his vicious breath
just behind my bed.
I look around
but there's no one there.

Fighting my fears,
I decide to fight.
As I gathered the shreds
of my mortal strength
to face him
one more time.

I clench my fists,
closed my eyes.
Ready for the big blow,
as I hear him close by.

I punch him hard
and opened my teary eyes.
Only to look at the cracked wall
and realise.

He is gone...

My hands felt numb
my heart started to ache.
I screamed with agony
throwing everything away.
Searching for a resting place.

From a dream
I woke up to a nightmare..

How I wish my dream to be true
that I had been shot by the bullet
and not from this brutal truth.

That the devil is not
on the plastered wall,
but inside my head.
Making love a curse
for me to bear it all.
