It was our first fest.
Our friends dragged us
from our hostel cell.

We talked
of some other guy.

You gave me your coat
as it was cold outside.

We walked
and we talked
like total strangers 
under the full moon sky.

It was a February night.
The stars were shining bright.

We laughed and we danced
and had jolly time.

You made me forget the pain
just by looking into my eyes.

You came like
a stream of light,
from far behind
into my dense foggy life.

We played like kids,
under the table we went
just to find our lost innocence..

We stole some trophies
and posed with them
like we have achieved them
all by ourselves.

Together we were
like the fairytale,
all the folks dreamed of.

"You are the cutest couple"
Our friends loved to call.

But distance kept us afar
for far too long.
And we lost the love
we were once proud of.

Still we kept going on,
breaking our promise
to stay strong.

I left you
coz I just can't hold on.
You left me
coz our love wasn't that strong.
And together
we couldn't carry on..

But 'I' wish 'Us' to be together
for one more night,
for one more song...

And before we become 'You' and 'I',
don't you think we should
search under that table
to find our lost love
and try
one more time
to be 'Us' ??
