The next day Alandria was walking down the streets, clad in her school uniform, ready to face Zayden again.Before leaving the house, she made sure to wear her contact lenses which she had kept with care just in case she would lose her glasses. Little did she know that her glasses would not get lost...but crushed under someone's foot on purpose. 

Last night she dreamt that Zayden had locked her in the changing room again, but this time she was not not alone with him, but with droopy-eyes and Bugs Bunny. They were laughing like psychos and they kept walking towards her menacingly. The moment they were about to close in on her Emmeline woke her up as she had promised to do a special braid on her sister's hair on the previous night. 

She thought about the chart and the booklet which she was given carefully...so carefully that a motorcyclist almost ran her over.

"WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING YOU LUNATIC!" the guy on the motorcycle yelled as he flew past her in a swift motion.

"Ohh wow...this day has just begun and it looks like it's going to get worse..." she muttered to herself as she crossed the road.

Finally she reached the gigantic blue and white building which was her high-school. She sighed and walked in the school compound, watching the students walking or running around merrily.

"And I have to be the nurse of a psycho..." she said out loud to herself.

It was a very weird thing to do...to be Zayden's nurse...it made her feel uncomfortable. She was not his friend. She did not like him...and vice versa...the incident of the previous day was enough proof. Alandria did not have the heart go and have a talk with him again, but she was ordered by the nurse to fill the chart and the booklet of Zayden. Grrr....why was her life so complicated?

She walked inside the classroom, her head bent down knowing full well that every student in the class was ogling at her. She had after all, slapped the most handsome and dangerous boy of the class.

Very slowly and very reluctantly, Alandria walked towards Zayden's seat. He had his back faced to her and droopy-eyes and Bugs Bunny sat in front of him, thus seeing Alandria coming towards them.

"Zayden..." droopy-eyes muttered and they all stopped talking.

Zayden slowly turned around and looked at Alandria. At first he was a bit surprised then he scrutinized her for a few moments before turning back to his friends.

"So as I was saying...the weapons looked a bit damaged however..."

Alandria's eyes grew wide. Weapons? What was he talking about? Also, why was he behaving in such a way? Did he forget what he did? Did he forget about her so suddenly?

*Maybe he has dementia....* her brain suggested.

*Maybe...* Alandria agreed, *Wait what? No!*

"Zayden....?" she called in a soft voice, too soft.

Zayden stopped talking and sighed in annoyance. He turned around and waited for her to continue impatiently.

"I um......the...charts...." she began in a trembling voice, "The nurse....I have to talk...."

"Speak properly girl. He can barely understand you!" Bugs Bunny reprimanded her.

How dare he!?

*I wonder how he understands you then...you're a rabbit....* Alandria thought as she looked at him.

*Ha! Well said!* she felt her brain say and she believed that if her brains got hands, it would have probably given her a high five right now.

"I...need to talk you Zayden...privately..."

Zayden looked at her with a puzzled look and then looked at his friends. He gave them a mocking smile. Alandria knew that he was just making fun of her.

"I'll be outside" she said quickly and rushed out of the class.

She waited for a few seconds in the hallway, the chart and the booklet in her hands. Zayden walked out and approached her. He then leaned against the wall and crossed his arms as he said:

"What do you want?"

"Well first of all...don't you think...I deserve an apology...?" she asked him, still feeling a bit shy.

"For what?"

HOW DID HE EVEN DARE SAY THAT? FOR WHAT? FOR WHAT?

"Ohhh" Alandria gasped with a laugh, "You don't remember? You attacked me! In the changing room!"

"Why the hell would I do that for?" Zayden asked as he looked at her as if she had just asked him out.

"Excuse me....you did that. You forgot about it so quickly?" Alandria squeaked.

"No I did not do such a thing. Also, mind telling me what we were doing in the changing room yesterday? How did I end up there? Did you give me something to drink or something?"he asked with suspicious eyes.

At this, Alandria let her back collide against the wall, feeling defeated. He did not remember a thing. He was completely oblivious about the fact that he had attacked her yesterday! He really was sick! People don't forget stuff like that so easily!

Very slowly and eyes still on Zayden, the girl removed a pen from her bag. She then looked in the booklet and started scribbling down.

"What the fuck are you writing down now?" Zayden barked, getting close to her.

Name: Zayden Connors

Illness: Dementia

"Hey hey hey!" Zayden shouted, "I don't have dementia! Scratch that out you weirdo!"

"You do! You do have dementia!" Alandria protested.

Zayden was now trying to snatch the booklet from her.

"I saw this in a movie! Gradually you will forget about this school too! You need treatment!"

"Fuck you! You've started to freak me out now!" Zayden cried as he took the booklet.

"Zayden, Alandria" someone suddenly said.

They looked in front of them to see Nurse Lena.

"Doctor Bertram will see you both. Come with me! Quickly!"

Zayden and Alandria exchanged looks and decided to follow the nurse. What was she up to? Who was Doctor Bertram? Alandria had a lot of questions in her mind, but she guessed that she would have all her answers soon.

They arrived outside in the empty school yard and saw a plump man with grey eyes walking to them. He was wearing a coat and his hairs were combed in an old fashion way. His eyes fixed themselves on Zayden and Alandria could have sworn that she saw intense hatred in them. She looked at Zayden who seemed as confused as her.

"I'll take it from here Lena, you go" the man said in a throaty voice.

"Please look after him doctor, those medicines were really dangerous...I think you need to run a scan..." Lena began in a worried tone, but doctor Bertram interrupted her.

"I KNOW MY JOB NURSE LENA! GET THE HELL BACK INSIDE!"

Lena looked surprised. She huffed and stormed inside the corridor.

"What is it doctor?" Zayden began, looking at the man with puzzled eyes, "Why did you want to meet me here? Also, can we not meet after school? All classes have already started now. We are both missing our lesson now. Is it that urgent?"

"Zayden is right" Alandria agreed, "We are missing class, but tell me doctor...is Zayden alright? I know he has dementia...."

"Stop with that you wazzock! I don't have dementia!" Zayden reprimanded her.

"No...Zayden does not have dementia..." the doctor said with a huge evil smile, "He is actually perfectly fine. You should be worried about you now...why did you have to get involved in this little girl? Oh well...who cares anyway!"

"What are you talking about?" Alandria said as her heart started beating faster.

She felt a sense of impending doom all of a sudden.

She then felt someone behind her...very slowly she turned around to see....

"ZAYDEN!" she yelled as she backed off, taking Zayden along with her.

"What the..." Zayden yelled as he stumbled.

He then saw it too. There were three armed men in front of them with their faces masked.

"TAKE THEM AWAY WITH YOU!" Doctor Bertram ordered.

"RUN ALANDRIA!" Zayden shouted as he punched one of the men in his face with all his force, leaving the others in shock.

He then grabbed Alandria's hand and ran outside the school compound.

The men were running behind them and Alandria could not help but wonder what the hell was happening! Who were these people? Why were they after them?

"Where are we going?" Alandria asked out of breath.

"My car! It's outside!" Zayden said.

Zayden's shining white sports car was now in view.
