My mum shouted from the bottom of the stairs, I sighed pausing the movie I was watching. "But mom, I'm scared, what if I crash and fail" I shouted back just as loudly

"You'll never know till you find out, honey! You're 20 years old, you need to be more independent and stop living off me and Sam." She replied coming into my room, good thing I was decent or I would've got a lecture on being safe on the Internet

I rolled my eyes in response luckily she didn't catch on or else I'd have gotten a good slap.

"My friend Pattie who's a year 6 teacher at school gave me her son's number. He's a driving instructor and he'll teach you, first lesson is half the price!"

I sighed as I took the card she handed to me sighing for the millionth time before dialling the number on the card. "Here goes nothing"

The phone rang for a few minutes before a soft voice answered.

"Hello Mr Bieber speaking how may I help you?"

"H-hey uhm I-i need to book some lessons" damn you social anxiety.

"Sure sweetheart, when's the best time for you?"

"Hello? You still there?"

"U-uhm yes sorry about that my dog distracted me!" I mentally face palmed wtf Gabi? "Uhm can we do 1pm next Friday?"

"Sure Sweetheart, what's your name so I can jot it in my journal?"

"See you at 1 next Friday Gabriella"
