There's been a request for me to post a dragon drawing tutorial, and I'm more than happy to help you guys improve on your dragon drawing skills ^o^
Firstly, one must know the basic dragon anatomy. I've put a picture of a basic dragon's body, but of course, there are a lot of differently shaped dragons, from long to stout to short to lean. Neck length, head, arm, horns, wings, spikes and tail style can vary greatly, its usually up to the artist to decide what type of dragon they want to draw. I'll put up more types of anatomy soon.
Also, there are many types of dragons - fire breathing, Asian, western, sea serpents, great dragons, lesser dragons, fairy dragons, wyverns....etc. Each species look different, so we have to work up an imagination to visualize them on paper XD
Dragons have many types of patterning on their scales, like stripes, spots, zigzags, crisscross... try imagining real life animals like tigers and leopards and put their hides into dragon scales.
Crocodiles and alligators are good references for drawing scales, because they have many types of scale patterns on their body XD Any other type of lizard will also help.
Hopefully, this intro will explain some on how to draw dragons XD I've prepared a step-by-step guide on how to draw a dragon as well. You're welcome to try it out, then you can tell me the results XD
