I had a fun day today
Hang out with my friends, ate my favorite ice-cream flavor
Visited a boutique, even bought myself some flowers
The sunset was beautiful and the weather was fine
I walked on the street in the orange peel of sunshine
Sit in a coffee shop, warmed my hand with a hot cup of chocolate
The bird was singing some melody I didn't know but it was perfect
I took some pictures of the streets and myself
My smile was bright and my dress looked nice
I saw a beautiful shining start on the night sky
Then soon realized that's the light from an airplane
My day was great and I was thankful for that
But I know
It is not the fun but you that I need
I want to hold your hand while walking on those streets
To look at the sky with you by my side
To fight for the last bite of ice-cream and share the hot chocolate cup
When I saw the plane, I wondered where it was going to
Could it bring me home, or at least back to you
I like my pictures and even posted them on Instagram
But I know it would have been more perfect if there were you.
