Six Feet Under

Chapter 17: Six Feet Under

The shadow of death hovers over me whispering to me its sweet nothings, guaranteeing my exemption. It utters poignant words that speak not of love but of deceit and affliction. Death offers me its hand but I revoke it's pleasant relief, pledging that I'd consign to the grave of my own free well.

Honestly, being buried alive was absolutely the farthest thing that I had prioritize for myself today. The last thing I remembered was a blue rag covering my face. It was a classic kidnapping from a horror film; and I walked right into it like Daphne from Scooby Doo. Although this mystery wouldn't be as easy as unveiling the villains mask. No I already knew who the culprit was it was getting her to confess to her dreadful deeds that was the hard part. It was alarming to be deprived of all optical sensory of which the wooden casket had stolen from me.

My breathing hitched from the rich reverie that vex my chaotic reasoning.
I could vaguely make out the sound of shoveling and dirt hitting the caskets lid.

So there was hope for me yet?

"Help?!? Anyone, please. " I screamed begging for help.

After five minutes of yelling without any response I gave up. The oxygen became thin and my chest vociferate in protest. My body had grown weary and incapacitated as I waited for a savior.
I heard a snap that was much too loud to be any twig. I was yanked from the casket moments later.

"Oi! Breastless. Are you alright? Can you move?" He asked holding me to him.

"A...Ayato ... I don't think I can." I sputtered.

"Tsk....you're useless." He chuckled.

He lifted me into his secure arms walking pressing towards the house. Ayato quickly made his way into my bedroom then the bathroom. I looked at him with a questioning gaze.

"What? What is it? Spit it out!" He snapped.

The tub filled with water and he turned the faucet to make it stop.

"Tell me!" He demanded.

"N....Nothing."

"You piss me off." He growled.

He set me on the edge of the tub and started to peel his shirt off.

"W...what are you doing?!?!" I shrieked blushing profusely.

"What does it look like? I'm going to bathe you. Now shut up and strip!" He barked.

I obliged him peeling my own clothing off as he eyed me hungrily. I quickly retreated into the tub frowning as a water seared my skin. We stared blankly at each other in silence.

"Look Yui...Me and her. What I mean is that I didn't kiss her because I wanted to, she said that she'd leave us alone if I did." He struggled for words.

He glanced at me with a wounded expression resting his forehead against the tub. I thread my fingers through his hair consoling him.

"...It's ok."

"I... Please don't make me say it." He stuttered.

"Say it!" I ordered yanking him by his hair so that he would face me.

"I... I...I'm sorry. You're very special to me. Stay by my side, I need you." He proclaimed awkwardly.

"Ayato, thank you." I said placing a kiss on his forehead.

Author Note:
Sorry guys that this chapter took so long. Lately I've been ill so I have been slowly nursing myself back to health. I was trying to beat the last chapter but sadly I couldn't...hopefully this chapter isn't too bad.
