Iron Madien

Chapter 12: Iron Maiden

Centuries of despondency, agony, and departure was all that could elucidate the iron maidens notoriety.

Confronting the same iron walls as a convict would had in the Middle Ages didn't bode well with me. After all this was a device instructed to impale it's victims, fantasizing the sordid deed was enough to make me want to hurl. Quelling my churning stomach, I shoved the image aside. A gentle exhale of air tickled my ear making me squirm. The uncomfortable surroundings did nothing for my nerves accelerating my agitation. I pound of the iron door fighting for escape.

"Hm?...so noisy..." Ayato yawned.

"What? You're awake?" He asked stirring.

Ignoring him I resumed my task of slammed on the door relentlessly.

"What do you think you're doing? " He snapped.

"I want out. " I answered boldly our body weight tilting the iron casket.

"Hey, idiot, it's dangerous. I'm still trying to sleep. Stop moving around. " He ordered clasping my arms.

"Let me out! How I'd even get in here in the first place? " I yelled.

"Hah? Why are you here? That's because....Hehehe..what? You don't remember? " Ayato paused scanning my face.

When he had attained the displeased expression he was searching for he continued.

"You were lonely and so you decided to crawl into my bed. " He replied nonchalantly.

I could feel the heat race to my face as I fumbled for my reply, "I...I did not, that's a lie!"

"Ah? A lie? Tch. If only you fell for it. Of course it's a lie, idiot." He grinned.

"Why am I here?" I repeated stubbornly.

"Hah? The reason why you're sleeping here? Eh? It's not important. I just drug you here after draining you yesterday."

"You what?"

By now the pitch black was getting to me. I only saw the red of his eyes as he restrained me. I was distressed at not being able to see anything. Tears fall from my dropped from my eyes onto his hands that now covered my stomach.

"Heh heh, what an awful face. You're weeping your eyes out. Are you that afraid of the dark? " He mocked.

"Yes." I replied tightening my grasp on his arms.

"Tch, you're no fun." He said removing me from the iron maiden.

With the blinds pulled tightly across the window I couldn't make out the time of day. Ayato carried me in his arms until we reached my bedroom. I sauntered inside hearing him move after me.

He's not going to demand blood is he?

He glared at me and then departed into my bathroom. I could hear the water running shortly after he entered. He emerged with a washcloth, he approach me carefully dabbing the droplets of water that left my eyes.

"It's ok...i'm just a convenient snack. " I replied believing my own words.

"Haven't I told you enough. I need you, your essential to me...."

Somewhere inside my mind I wanted to believe, Ayato .That he thought I was special existence or so I wish to be.

"Ah....damn it....It'll be hard to go back to sleep now... tired." He yawned pulling me by the hand.

"Let's just sleep here."

It wasn't long before you were nestled comfortably under my bright pink sheets. I smiled as I heard the soft snores that accompanied his sleep. I wished that this moment would never end...
