Eritria's POV

Transferees?

"Class meet the new students," Ms. Lovien announced which shocked us all since we never expected that the school are still open, even though we only have 1 month and a half before we end these relationshits.

"Hi, please to meet you all I'm Gwyneth and to make it shorter, you can call me Gwen," a boy said while flashing a smile that just seems so genuinely sweet with just the right touch of shyness that unexpected warmth that it brought, made all the girls like him.

"I'm Edmund, hoping to make friends with all of you," said another boy beside the toothpaste endorser.

His hazel eyes were a melt of autumn tones, fending off the winter frost. Freckles, light, delicate; sprinkled softly on his sun-kissed cheeks. Waves of brown hair that refract the sun's gentle light, penetrating it's ruffled layers.

And last but not the least, the girl with eyes that were a hickory as rich as the earth’s soil; stained with the colour of hot chocolate on a cold, winter night that wraps around you like a blanket; engulfs you in its warmth and makes you feel at home. Those deep pools of dark-cinnamon swirls seized the depth and heaviness of one thousand untold stories, which imprisoned the sweetness of saccharine chocolate and the bitterness of strong coffee.

While her other hand scrunched into that tumble of hair, those cinnamon curls that defied rules and gravity with equal contempt.

"Hello, I'm Zuleika nice to meet you all!" She said with delight.

"Since Gwen would be on the class-B, I'll give the class a chance to ask one question," Ms. Lovien said while the other girls were saddened about the fact he'll be in the other room.

Cascade raised her hand that caught Ms. Lovien's attention.

"Ok, fire away your question Ms. Rouséa," Ms. Lovien said while forming a gun in her hands and pretends to shoot Cascade. The room is full of anticipation on what question would Cascade ask.

"What made the three of you to enroll in this kind of school?" Cascade asked while giving them her sweet smiles.

I don't know, her smile seems diffrent to me...

It's like she wanted to confirm something about them...

"That's a nice question! Because actually we just want to see how love make you break your own rules, how love can change a person," Zuleika said while her lips lifted upward and her eyes surprisingly landed on me.

I don't know, I feel tension between us...

"Okiee dokiee, since the introduction is done, Gwen go to your room while you two can sit at the table beside Thunder".

As soon as all were seated Ms. Lovien started explaining. "I know that you all might wonder why they got here in the middle of our school year. Don't worry all of them went through just like all of you do. But 3x much more harder and complex than the ordinary entrance exam".

Everyone was shocked while the white head is just about to sleep in the class. Even though that's not very like him. His elbow resting in the table, his hands in his forehead while his head is tilted to an angle where he won't meet Ms. Lovien's eyes.

When he felt my gaze to him, he quickly locked his eyes to mine.

"Eri..." he mumbles while making the puppy eyes that Elijah said that works in times like this.

"What? Are you sleepy? You didn't have sleep last night?" I asked.

"I didn't have a proper sleep since I'm thinking what did I do, that you choose to ignore me," he said while sitting properly since Ms. Lovien glanced at us.

"I'm always like this so don't overreact," I stated while checking something in my bag.

"Here, drink it while Ms. Lovien is not looking," I said while handing him his favorite chocolate drink.

I'm relieved seeing the way his lips lifted upward. The way his dimples crinkles. The way his teeth are perfectly aligned. The warm glow his happiness gives. His smile is a ray of sunshine while gladly accepting the drink.

"I didn't know you hide some sweetness in you Eri," he mumbles before drinking.

"What? What are you mumbling there?" I asked.

"I said thank you!" He said with his smiles reaching to his eyes.

I averted my gaze since Ms. Lovien started talking and to hide the smile that begins to appear.

"Zuleika and Edmund will be partners while Gwen already has his partner too. So is everything clear?" Ms. Lovien asked.

"Yes Ma'am," all of us said in unison.

I feel refreshed after taking a bath. I guess this is the right time to find the sword.

When a continous knock is heard in the door. Since Thunder is still dressing up in the bathroom. I'll check it out myself.

As soon as I opened the door two bright smiles welcomes me. "Eri! Join us we'll have a movie marathon at my room," Emma enthusiastically said while Clementine is trying to persuade me with those box full of popcorns.

I can't. I need to focus on getting the sword. I'm sorry...

"I'm busy, maybe next time," I said while keeping my face blank.

Their smiles faded. But with understanding eyes.

"Ok, we understand I guess its just really not the time to watch money heist," Emma said while scratching the back of her head.

"We still have a next time so no need to be saddened," Clementine said with a faint smile.

"You two should go its getting late," I stated.

I closed the door when Thunder appeared behind me.

"Why did you turn down Emma and Clementine's invitation? You know to yourself that you aren't busy right?" Thunder started asking me.

"You know what, stop sticking your nose in my business," I said.

I was about to open the door when he stopped it by his hand.

"I don't know, it feels like your distancing yourself again. Why Eri? Why do you have to do this all the time?" He said while those ash-like eyes are looking at me with confusion.

I didn't know what to say.

"Are you being threatened Eri? Is there something stopping you? Because if there is I'm right here for you. I'll protect you Eri," he stated while finally locking my eyes to his.

"You can't, and I never need it," I said while looking deeply in his eyes to let him know that this thing we have, would never work.

"I can, and you'll see," Thunder said while walking out of the room leaving me behind shocked.

I balled my fist. I need to stick to my goal.

Its ok to be the villain in other's eyes to keep those wonderful smiles.

I'm here walking to the dark hallway of the classrooms since I bet the sword is not hidden in the dorms. I closed the laboratory's door when I heard faint noises coming from the...

"Library?" I muttered while walking towards those faint noises.

I heard giggles while getting nearer. Just one turn and I'm about to see whose voices are in the library when I  stopped and twisted the hand that was about to reach me.

"Ouch! Its just me Eri!" Cascade said with pain seen in her face that's why I immediately loosen my grip.

"You really have skills Eri," Cascade said while minimizing her voice.

"Why are you here?" I asked while raising an eyebrow.

"Hehe I just went back in the library to get my books," she said while showing her books in Mr. Levi's class.

"We should get going because the guard is already doing his round in this floor," she said while grabbing me in the arm.

I'll just continue the search tomorrow then.

But Cascade is so suspicious I said to myself while looking at her back.

Because Cascade hates going to the library.

Another day and everything is getting weirder first these two transferees. Second is Cascade's action last night and Thunder...

I feel a bad aura coming from him. It felt like he's a different person.

Those where the thoughts going in my mind while looking at Thunder's blank face while he's getting our food. While I'm here sitting in the table near the window. When someone blocked my sight of Thunder.

"Hi! Can we share tables with you?" The transferee said I think her name is Zuleika while the boy beside her is Edmund.

I can't breath properly. It is so suffocating here. This feeling...

Shortage of breath is the first sign. I'm breathing but the air just won't go in, like my lungs are surrounded by metal bands. Next comes the rising panic, the dizzy feeling and the banging headache like I didn't sleep for 3 days. I scanned the whole area everyone is talking casually and even laughing then why couldn't I breathe? Why was it so hard? But even so I'm trying to maintain my composure

I glance at the two seeing beads of sweat popping in their foreheads it felt like they also feel it too.

Right before I lose my composure Thunder came.

"Hey, you three alright?" Thunder asked while glancing back and forth to us. As soon as Thunder came, my breathing started to be calm again. I don't know what the heck is happening!

"Seems like you two need an alone time. We'll get going," Edmund said while flashing a smile when Zuleika caught my attention she seems uncomfortable too.

The two finally left when another shit rise again.

A roar that felt like it came underground made all the students panic while the alarms are blaring.

"To all our beloved students immediately evacuate to our gymnasium a demon entered the perimeters of school. This is not a drill so evacuate immediately and don't panic," the alarm rang while the announcement is keep on repeating while everyone is heading towards the gymnasium with the teachers guidance.

"Let's go!" Thunder said while grabbing my arm while I can't believe that a Belpheghor is right at the entance of the school.

Chaos is everywhere. Since the students are panicking to get out of the cafeteria. Thunder tighten the grip in my hand because of the pushing of the crowd.

We kept on hearing the shouts of the teachers because of the panic growing in the students.

"We'll get there Eri, don't worry," Thunder shouted since screams and cries are all I hear. I glance at the window while the crowd ain't moving foward. I focus my vision at the rooftop and I'm seeing... Mr. Felix while his hands on the floor and I'm completely amazed on how the building is slowly glitching and turning into...

"A hologram?" I mumbled while I averted my gaze from outside since Thunder's grip is starting to loosen.

"No! Eri hold on!" Thunder shouted until I can't feel his hands anymore because of this shits panicking like hell.

"Thunder," I mumbled while I'm fucking worried to the white head and to my friends.

Thunder kept shouting my name but because of the continous pushing of the crowd I lost sight of Thunder. Dammit.

I tried looking for his white hair but in no avail I can't see it. I pushed myself towards the stairs where people won't go. There would be a good view there to look for Thunder.

I never felt proud of myself knowing I finally reached the stairs. While I'm catching my breath I continued going upstairs. And just as I imagined the crowd is like a massive wave that keeps on pushing each other. I focus looking for the white head when my peripheral vision caught something and just as I turned my face at the stairs at my right I caught a twelve year old girl wearing all black while running towards the stairs. And as I analyze everything...

I gulped the lump in my throat while realizing that its...

"A Qanarah," I muttered while chasing the girl with all my might.

After I got upstairs I saw her turning left.

"Wait!" I said while I'm gasping for air while taking a glance from the windows where Mr. Levi is continously firing the Belpheghor.

Levi's POV

I kept on firing and firing bullets towards the demon. And not just an ordinary demon but a class S demon!

But everything is under control here, except the frightened students.

"Felix, is everything under cover?" I asked while preparing the blue fire bullet.

"Yes the school is perfectly under my hologram!" he said while his eyes are in intense green.

"Now time to sleep," I muttered while firing my blue fire bullet. And now looking at the headless demon. For the heart is in the head while it has no brain because...

"Lovien," I said while pointing her to come foward.

"I know," she said and without any hesitation cut the demon into half while cracking her knuckles.

"Where are you," Lovien said while snickering.

But her grin slowly fade away and her mood switched into a serious mode.

"The fucking Qanarah is on the loose," she said while gritting her teeth.

Eritria's POV

"I said fucking stop!" I yelled and finally gripped her shoulder and forcefully turned her around.

Because a Belpheghor always has its Qanarah. He is the body while the Qanarah is the brain. And it seems like they purposely parted each other.

"Why the fu-" I was cut off in the words that came out from her mouth.

"My Queen," she said while those bloodshot eyes glimmered while looking at me.
