With Bondita's lips against his in the car, Anirudh was done for.

His hands squeezed her hips, the material of her saree scrunching against his hands, as her fingers started to unbutton his waistcoat.

Bondita only managed to unbutton the top couple of buttons of his waistcoat and dress shirt as their kisses got heated.

The feeling of her soft lips on his was making Anirudh go wild with ecstasy.

He reached down to the bottom of her saree, and started to pull it up. Bondita helped him roll up her petticoat and saree, breathing heavily as she broke the kisses.

"Bondita," Anirudh managed to moan. "It's uncomfortable for you -"

"Not at all," she breathed out, "We're doing it gently and comfortably!"

"You'll get hurt," he groaned, as Bondita started to kiss his neck.

Her lips travelled down to the open area of his chest. "I won't," she breathed out, her lips gliding against his skin.

Her hands went to his crotch and she started to unbuckle the belt.

"Bondita, let's go inside -"

"Yes let's go inside...me," she teased, as she unbuttoned his pants and unzipped them, making Anirudh shake his head slowly.

He really should be used to this!

She slowly lifted herself off him, so that she could pull his pants down. "If Manika Didi is awake, and the first thing we do is go inside the bedroom, what'll she think?"

Anirudh was laying against the reclined seat, his pants down to his ankles, as he helped pull down Bondita's panties.

"She'll just laugh and tease us," Anirudh murmured, gazing at her intensely.

"And if she's wondering what we're doing here - or did you inform her already?"

"I haven't," Anirudh admitted, as Bondita pressed her bare sensitive area against his. His breathing was very heavy, and he just pressed his face against her breasts which were covered by the saree she was wearing.

If they were at home, he would rip that off right now

When would he be able to feel the softness of her breasts against his face again?

As he was caught up in his thoughts, a heavy groan escaped his lips, because Bondita had glided his manhood inside of her in one swift movement.

"Aaah Pati Babu," she moaned, her heart racing erratically with pleasure.

"Bondita," he moaned with her, "Don't get used to this -"

"I'm already used to it! What were we doing all honeymoon?" she replied, as she gently slid her hips against his, grinding against him as they made love.

Anirudh sighed.

"Mrs. Barrister Babu, I surrender."

Bondita smiled, her cheeks flushed.

She leaned down and captured his lips in a heated kiss, as Anirudh's hands ran up her body and he gently rocked his hips from underneath her.

"Tell me if you're uncomfortable."

"I'll tell you," she said softly, "Right now I'm very comfortable."

Anirudh stroked her hair gently and deepened the kiss. Their heavy breathing was rhythmic to the thrusts of their hips.

Their love was gentle, yet passionate. Anirudh wanted to get closer. He wanted to feel every bit of her exposed skin. But not too much was exposed. He had to make do with what he had.

He buried his face against her neck, sucking on her soft skin, as Bondita gripped his hair and pulled on it with pleasure.

Her moans were getting louder, as Anirudh continued to love her.

Making love like this was just like the name suggested. Love.

This was an act of love between them. A way to show her how deeply he felt for her. In their most intimate of moments, it was about love... and only love.

But now it was time for them to find this love in separation too.

So after the two of them came to their climax, and Bondita was resting against his body, he just hugged her tightly, closing his eyes, and measuring her in his arms.

She might be bigger next time he got to hold her. Maybe he wouldn't even be able to hold her against him this way.

Her belly was already growing. Next time, perhaps this kind of closeness just wouldn't be possible. Not from the front anyways.

He was lost in his thoughts when Bondita whispered, "Don't live in your thoughts Pati Babu. Live with me."

Anirudh couldn't help but smile.

Her signature line.

The time he believed that she would never be his and that she chose Vikram over him... all those years ago. She had said the same lines to him.

His Margdarshak, as always.

Bondita lifted her head slowly, and Anirudh intertwined their fingers together.

"Let's go," he told her.

Bondita nodded reluctantly, and he opened the door slightly to let the cold breeze in. Then he began to adjust her clothing to make sure she looked normal.

There were only ladies in this farmhouse, but he didn't want Manika to tease him. Plus, he felt like she was going to be really upset with him anyways, for leaving Bondita here and going.

Anirudh was about to button his shirt after adjusting Bondita's clothing, when she shook her head.

"Give me your shirt," she demanded.

"Huh?" he gasped.

"You're leaving me here... the least you can do is leave me with your shirt," Bondita whispered.

Then before he could react, she unbuttoned his waistcoat and t-shirt, sliding them off his arms.

"You can keep the coat!" Bondita said, and held the shirt to her chest, pressing her nose against it and inhaling it. "All mine!"

Anirudh's cheeks turned red and he whispered, "And you called me crazy."

"You're right. When I use my hands, I'll need this," she teased. "So I can pretend like I'm using your hands."

Anirudh's cheeks burned even more now, and he quickly said, "Let's go."

Bondita sighed and got out of the car, fixing her hair, as Anirudh slid the waistcoat over his bare chest.

He was really hoping that Manika and Manoshi were both fast asleep. This would be such an odd sight for them - plus, dropping Bondita off... would all be so bizarre.

"I'll tell Manika Didi and Manoshi that I feel like staying with them for a few days," Bondita said to him, as they entered the farmhouse quietly.

"Don't worry Bondita. I'll talk to Manika."

"I don't want you to get in trouble Pati Babu," Bondita said, "I already know Kakasasurji, Sasurji and Sampoorna Maa are going to give you a hard time."

Anirudh swallowed the lump in his throat.

"Bondita, it'll be better if you also don't worry about me for some time," Anirudh told her. He knew it was an impossible request, but he couldn't help but make it. "I want you to focus on your health."

"My health will be okay Pati Babu," Bondita said.

"Don't spend your days thinking of me," Anirudh told her firmly, "I don't know how often I can be in contact with you... or if I'll be contacting you at all."

"So... no phone calls?" Bondita asked.

Anirudh felt himself get emotional.

"No phone calls," he told her firmly.

Now Bondita could feel her heart get restless.

She didn't want to question him... so she just gripped his shirt tightly in one hand, his hand in her other one.

She followed him to the spare bedroom at the farmhouse, and he unzipped her suitcase for her. He wanted to unpack everything for her so that she wouldn't bend and do all that work for herself.

"Pati Babu... are you okay?" she just asked, as he started to put her sarees on hangers.

Anirudh nodded, as Bondita stood beside him, watching him do the task, her heart aching.

"Are you sure?" she asked.

Anirudh nodded. "I'm fine Bondita. So you be fine too," he told her, using all his power to sound calm and collected.

"But..." she gulped. This not asking questions thing was hard.

"You can ask whatever you want," he told her softly.

"I trust you," she whispered, "But I just wonder if there's a perspective you haven't thought about. A way we can still be together. That's why... I want to know."

Anirudh put the final hanger with her clothes in the closet, before turning to look at her. He brought his hand to her belly.

"Focus," he told her firmly. "Focus on our baby."

She nodded.

"I'll handle everything else," he said to her. "But... there's one thing."

He took a deep breath and brought his hands to Bondita's cheeks, cupping them gently.

"Stay away from the haveli," he warned. "Stay away from our neighbourhood."

"What?" Bondita asked, sounding worried now. "Is something going to happen? Is something unsafe going to happen? Is that why you're sending me away?" She bit her tongue. "I didn't mean to question -"

"Nothing dangerous will happen," he just said firmly. "You follow what I say. Do exactly that. Bondita... if you come near the haveli, then..." he took a deep breath, "Then things will be unsafe."

Bondita didn't understand what he was saying.

"Okay, I won't," she just said, "But... how will I know if you're okay?"

Anirudh brought his hand to her chest, where her heartbeat was.

"You won't know Bondita?" he asked her softly, indicating their connection.

A smile reached her lips now and she whispered, "I will know."

"Exactly. So you just stay here with Manika and Manoshi. Go to school, and come back from school. And if you... hear any rumours anywhere. Ignore them. Only recall what I said. My words. And your faith. That's all you need. Dismiss everything else."

Bondita really had no idea what he was talking about, but she nodded.

Anirudh leaned closer to her and kissed her forehead.

"And always remember what our bond is," he whispered. "It's not like everyone else's. You can't measure it the same way as how others measure their own relationships."

Bondita nodded and wrapped her arms around him.

He hugged her, caressing her hair.

"Can I ask one thing?" she asked, "I... shouldn't actually."

"Ask."

"When... will we meet next?"

"I don't know," he murmured.

Tears filled her eyes.

"Okay, Pati Babu."

He held on to her for a few moments longer, before finally letting go. Then he placed his hand on her cheek and smiled through his wet eyes, "Sleep properly."

She nodded, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks.

"If you need anything, talk to your Manika Didi. She will help you," Anirudh told her.

Bondita nodded again.

"And you have to set an example for Manoshi. Don't forget... just how much she looks up to you," Anirudh continued.

"I can't pretend!" Bondita sobbed now, "If I'm not capable enough to guide her, I can't pretend that I can!"

"I didn't think I was capable enough to guide you either," Anirudh told her, gazing into her eyes softly. "When the need arises, you will take whatever form is required. I have that faith in you."

Bondita sniffled, as he continued.

"You can hug my shirt all you want, but remember... the greatest gift you have is not my shirt... or me. It's you Bondita. Your greatest gift has always been you," Anirudh told her seriously, wiping her tears away. "I taught you this lesson early on. And I don't want you to forget it."

Bondita nodded again.

The time he broke her... only to build her back stronger. What a time it was, for her young mind.

He had rejected her despite his own love, just so she could understand that she didn't need to be dependent on him. She was self-sufficient. She had everything within her all along.

"What this is," Anirudh said, pointing to her and then to him. "Is called attachment."

"I can't help it. I'm pregnant. The hormones in my body are going crazy!"

"I know," he told her softly. "But I also taught you that you aren't your body. You are far more than that Bondita. So hormones can't be an excuse for you, the one who has full reign over her body and mind."

Bondita nodded and took a deep breath, trying to relax.

"Some paths we have to walk alone Bondita," Anirudh told her. "Only to realize that we were never alone. We only thought we were."

She just looked at him with a deep, open-minded gaze.

"So keep walking forward. One day our paths will meet again," he said to her. "And by then... perhaps we will be yet another version of ourselves. As we ascend, together. Into a new journey, to reach even further destinations."

Anirudh leaned towards her and gently brushed his lips against hers, caressing her cheeks with his thumbs.

"Goodbye Bondita," he murmured against her lips.

Tears rolled down Bondita's cheeks, as Anirudh broke the kiss, and then he fell to his knees. He placed his hands on Bondita's belly, on her bare skin underneath her saree.

He moved the fabric of her saree up slightly before he kissed her belly and whispered, "Until we meet again... my little Bondita."

Then he stood up, and with tears in his eyes, turned around, his back facing Bondita.

Bondita followed him slowly, to the main door.

They didn't exchange any other words.

But she watched him longingly, until he got in his car, and drove away.

Those moments happened too fast.

He was in front of her... and suddenly, he was gone.

Her hand reached her belly, and a soft smile reached her lips.

"Baba will be back," she said with a teary smile. "No matter how scary it is, we will make it through. We've all been through so much together. What's one more test?"

Then she climbed up the stairs and got in bed, holding onto Anirudh's shirt, until she fell sound asleep, a smile on her lips as she inhaled his scent.
