Bondita was making dinner, her Kakasasurji in the kitchen with her. 

Anirudh had gone to Kolkota, and would be there for a few weeks for a very important conference. 

She was frying luchias, while Kaka was having a conversation with her, and all of a sudden she felt a reflex in her throat. A gag reflex. The smell of the luchias being fried in the oil was doing something to her. 

"K - Kakasasurji, here!" Bondita gasped, making Trilochan look at her with shock. 

She stood up from the fire pit cooker on the ground and handed the ladle to her Kakasasurji, before covering her mouth, vomit on the way up her system. She was already having a hard time holding it back, and could taste the vomit in her mouth. 

"Bahu!" Kaka called, watching her go, and shook his head, "I told you to eat properly! When you don't, it builds up gas!" 

Of course, it was only gas. 

If it was anyone else, Trilochan would surely think they were pregnant, but this was his Bahu!

Her being pregnant was impossible!

So it couldn't be anything else. It was surely gas!

"Thakumaa, please don't let it be true," Bondita begged, gripping her Thakumaa's saree, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I've been taking all the pills properly! I can't be pregnant. Pati Babu will die! This wasn't supposed to happen before I became a barrister... he will be broken! Please tell me it's a lie! Please Thakumaa! Please!" 

Thakumaa felt pain in her heart, as she recalled why the pills didn't work anymore. The fact that the latest set of pills that Bondita had taken weren't birth control pills. In a twist of fate, the bottles had been switched, and the medications exchanged. Completely accidentally.

"It's true Bondita," Thakumaa said, looking sad to see Bondita in this condition. "You are pregnant. You are going to be a mother."

"Manika Didi," Bondita sobbed, "I need your help. Please help me without telling Pati Babu. Please!" 

Manika placed her hands on Bondita's shoulders and said, "Bondita, don't be ridiculous, you have to tell Anirudh!" 

"No!" Bondita sobbed, her heart heavy, her face red and eyes puffy. "You don't understand! Pati Babu won't be able to handle it! He'll go into depression! He'll be a living corpse!" 

"Then what will you do Bondita? You can't hide this for long!" Manika told her, cupping her face with her hands, tears in her own eyes, unable to see Bondita in this state. 

"There's... one thing... that we can do..." Bondita cried.

Anirudh finally returned to the Roy Choudhary haveli after his absence. Bihari trailed behind him, carrying his suitcase in. 

He only had one thing in his hands, and that was a tray of eight handiyas of ek badam wala roshogullas. Bondita's favourite. 

But where was she? 

Everyone came to the main entrance to greet Anirudh, but Bondita was nowhere to be found. 

He kept the roshogullas on the living room table and asked his family members, "Where is Bondita?"

"I'm here... Pati Babu..." Bondita's voice said from the back, her eyes wet with tears. 

The family members parted to the side, and allowed Bondita to approach him through the middle. 

A smile reached his lips, his eyes getting teary as he saw his Bondita for the first time in a long time.

"For you missy," he said, opening a handiya and picking a roshogulla out of it, "These are your favourite roshogullas Bondita. All the way from Kolkota." 

Tears were in Bondita's eyes, as Anirudh placed the roshogulla in her mouth. 

All of a sudden, she felt her gag reflex act up again, and Bondita's hand rushed to her mouth. 

Anirudh watched with shock as Bondita ran out of the room to throw up. 

"What happened to Bondita? How is it that her favourite roshogullas are making her throw up?" Anirudh wondered, as he watched her go. 

"How do I tell you Pati Babu, that the sweetness in my life has all been destroyed? Now there's only bitterness... only bitterness," she sobbed, looking into the bathroom mirror. "My body can't even handle my favourite roshogullas anymore." 

What is in store in this journey? Will Anirudh and Bondita's relationship be able to survive this test?
