"Focus!" Anirudh ordered, glaring at Bondita, as she stood up and peered over his shoulder at the case that he was reading. 

"Birristira Babu, I read that case already," Bondita said nonchalantly, trying to get closer to him. 

Anirudh rolled his chair away from her, but Bondita huffed and stepped closer to him. He rolled his chair further to the side, and she stepped towards him again. 

"Bondita!" Anirudh yelled, when he had no more space to roll, because he reached the edge of his desk. "Didn't I tell you to focus?" 

"I can focus while sitting on your lap too!" Bondita told him, her eyes wide and excited. 

Anirudh looked at her with a stern expression, as Bondita got on his lap, facing him. 

"Barrister Babu, please teach your trainee about cases up close," Bondita whispered, seductively, as she leaned closer to him. 

Anirudh glared at her again, not buying it. 

This was the time for her to learn, and all madame wanted to do was romance? 

"Get off," he ordered. "Get off right now." 

A pout appeared on her lips, but she just admired how hot he looked in his glasses.

"Bondita, off!" he repeated sternly, noticing the gaze with which she was looking at him. 

Where was this going to lead?

Manika was having a difficult time writing the Devanagari script, her alphabets looking not so appealing. 

Vikram was sitting next to her, both of them on their own chairs behind the desk in her bedroom. 

"I can't do this," Manika said with a sigh. 

"Yes you can!" Vikram said with encouragement, "Nobody is perfect right away. You'll learn fast, trust me." 

Manika turned to look at Vikram, and she was taken aback because he was sitting quite close to her -- not in a way that was uncomfortable, but rather, maybe she was noticing the proximity between them now. 

She squeezed her eyes shut. 

What was she noticing exactly? 

"Are you okay?" Vikram asked her, and her eyes opened again. 

She didn't know. 

Was she okay? Why was she noticing Vikram's closeness so much? 

If what she was suspecting were to be correct, then it would be a sin! She couldn't ever feel these things for someone else! 

She was married and it was forbidden. 

"Bondita's Manika Didi..." Vikram murmured again, "Let me get you a glass of water." 

Manika reached to grab hold of his arm to stop him. As soon as her fingers closed around his arm, she felt her insides heat up and she immediately let go of him.

Vikram looked at her with concern, and she just gasped, "I... I... my writing is terrible. I won't l - learn this." 

"It's not!" Vikram said right away, and reached to take her pen from her so he could teach her better.

When he reached to take it, he tried to avoid touching her hand because he didn't want to make her uncomfortable, but Manika gripped the pen more tightly, feeling her body break out into a nervous sweat. 

"May I have the pen?" Vikram asked her softly. 

Manika looked at his face again, and she gulped nervously. 

No Manika, what you're seeing is temporary. It's a façade. You are craving support. You are craving love. It isn't real. You can't hurt Vikram. And you cannot sin! You are a married woman, for God's sake! Get yourself together! You cannot ever have a life filled with that kind of love again.

"Manika, you've always been strong. You still are. I always admired you. From day one," Anirudh told her fondly, as he recalled the first time he met her. 

They were standing in his study.

"Yeah, I know, you stole my earring," Manika teased. "As a symbol of your love for me." 

She said it with sarcasm. 

Anirudh laughed and he said, "Why wouldn't I believe that? After all, you are remarkable. Not just me, any man would have fallen for you!" 

His love for Manika was forced at that time, it was an attempt to not think about Bondita.

When he said that, he heard anklets moving away from the study, and he immediately realized that his wife had overheard. 

"Bondita!" Anirudh called out, rushing after her. 

His wife had found out about his past forced love for Manika, except she probably thought that it was real! 

How would he appease her now?

"What the hell do you want Batuk?" Surabhi yelled at him. 

The two of them were standing outside his room in the hallway of the Roy Choudhary haveli. 

"I don't know! Bloody hell!" Batuk swore. 

"One second, you act like you want me, you're all over me, kissing me, making out, and the next you throw me away! Do I look like someone you can use?" she accused.  

"You invited this! You fucking invited this!" Batuk snarled. 

Anirudh was walking through the hallway at this moment, and he could hear the sound of a small argument. 

He approached slowly, hearing what happened next. 

"How?" Surabhi asked, "How did I invite this?"

"That night... when you... with Dada..." Batuk started. 

Surabhi looked at Batuk with guilt and she said, "Can we not talk about that? It's been four months!" 

"How could you even think about kissing Dada?" Batuk snapped, "I can never forgive you for that! Never!"

Anirudh's heart felt like it had stopped pumping blood, and he froze on the spot, unable to believe his ears. 

All those moments of Deja Vu, those strange feelings he had about a girl approaching him in a school dress. 

That was Surabhi? 

She... kissed him? 

A look of guilt appeared in his eyes, and he backed away slowly. 

How would he face his Bondita now?
