281 - Their Bittersweet Reunion

I notice everyone who votes on which chapter, and I've seen many who still skip chapters while voting, or are still NOT voting. I'm not making you wait long + I try to post quality parts for you all, so pressing the star on each part is the least you can do right?

If you don't vote, the updates will come slower as this is how I measure who is caught up, and whether to go on sprees.

If you're only voting on the latest chapters... it seems like you're skipping parts. Don't do that. It doesn't make sense. There is huge amount of the plot in all of the chapters, and nothing is a filler here.

If Chapter 279 and 280 BOTH do not get to 450+ stars, I will not be continuing this spree. They're not far behind, so go and vote!

On another note, this is a spree party and it started in the last chapter (280), so shower your comments. 🥳 This spree will go on, if your votes and comments are consistent! If I feel anything lacking, the party will stop. Only your eagerness can ensure this spree goes on. Remember votes AND comments matter!

Are you ready? 😈

By the way, I am pleased to see new voters on the last chapter. Please do keep pressing star on the updates. I am very grateful to receive your love! ❤️

Anirudh looked at Bondita, tears in his eyes, as he processed his beautiful angel after so many weeks.

He saw that her eyes were wet too, and he immediately opened his arms, aching to embrace her again.

Without even thinking, Bondita ran to him, holding back her sobs, choking on them, as she practically fell against his chest.

Anirudh wrapped his arms around her, hugging her lovingly, as she buried her face in his shirt, his broach scratching her forehead lightly, but she didn't care. She wanted to just melt in his embrace.

Her hands were on the front of his chest, pressing even further against him, as he rubbed her back lovingly, kissing the top of her head in the process.

"Long lost lovers!" Batuk groaned dramatically.

"Quiet Batuk," Kaka huffed, gripping his cane tightly. "Let them have their moment of fake affection!"

Batuk looked at his Kaka like he was crazy.

Fake affection

"Huh?" Batuk just asked.

Somnath nudged him lightly and murmured, "Kaka needs a brain treatment. Don't ask him any questions."

Batuk just nodded slowly, thinking that this could be highly possible.

Anirudh and Bondita were too lost in their embrace, to notice or care about anything else.

Binoy pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose while Sampoorna held Sashwati in her arms, a smile on her lips.

Sampoorna had noticed that something seemed a little off with Bondita lately. She didn't seem to be her usual bubbly self. She assumed something must have happened in her school, and she still wasn't super close with her cousin like she used to be, so she didn't ask her. But she knew that now Anirudh was back, the old Bondita should hopefully return!

Manika was there too, a relieved smile on her lips. Now that Anirudh was back, everything would be fine!

As long as Anirudh didn't behave like a dumb Roy Choudhary again!

Although... even if that did happen, Manika had faith that things would still be alright in the end between them. They were Anirudh and Bondita. Even if there were problems in the moment, at the very end, nothing could defeat them.

"Bondita wait, my brooch," Anirudh managed to say.

Bondita just shook her head, scratching her forehead against the brooch.

"It'll leave a scratch," he murmured, sounding concerned.

He held the back of her head which was covered with the pallu of her saree, and gently slid it over to the other side of his chest, and then he hugged her again, feeling like he had his universe in his arms after a long time apart.

Closing his eyes, he enjoyed the embrace, until he heard her sniffles.

She was crying very heavily.

Somnath also heard the sniffles and made a face. That meant that Bondita's nose was running, and her snot was all over his Dada's clothes.

Gross

Although as a doctor, he knew that he had to deal with bodily fluids, he would be wearing gloves for that and would be sanitizing after!

He could never let anyone run their snot all over him like that!

"Bondita?" Anirudh asked, sounding concerned. "What happened?

"What is there to happen?" Kaka asked loudly, "She missed you! Her Guru, her Bhagwaan! That's all!"

He said it in a mocking way.

Batuk frowned, and went over to his Dada and Boudi -- he also found it strange that she was crying this much.

"Boudi what's wrong?" he asked, sounding concerned. "Did you seriously miss him that much?"

"Hormonal couple, they are," Somnath murmured under his breath, "And in pregnancy, she must be even more hormonal. If she is pregnant."

"I - I'm fine," Bondita stammered, still sniffling like a little kid.

"I knew it! You must be crying in happiness!" Batuk declared, feeling like he was a genius for finally connecting the dots, "You will get to play with BIG D after so long!"

Anirudh's face went red when he heard this, and even Bondita slowly lifted her face to glare at Batuk with her red eyes.

"Big D?" Kaka just asked, "What?"

Batuk grinned widely at Kaka and asked, "Kaka would you like to know? I'll tell you all about it --"

"BATUK!" Anirudh yelled, letting go of Bondita now and glaring at his brother. "Don't say a word!"

Kaka could not find out about their sexual relations! Not at any cost! He would pressure them into having children again!

"Why Big D?" Batuk teased, "That night on the phone, you didn't seem this shy --"

"Batuk," Anirudh warned his brother, wondering why he wasn't afraid of him anymore!

Batuk used to be so scared of Anirudh's anger, but now that Batuk had grown up considerably, it seemed like the fear was fading with time.

Batuk snickered.

Kaka looked confused and he demanded, "Will anyone tell me what's going on?"

"Dada's new name is Big D from now on! That's all!" Batuk said, sounding innocent.

Bondita glared at him, choking on her tears.

Anirudh's face was very flustered, and he just went back to Bondita, holding her hand tightly for a moment.

She looked up at him with her tears.

Anirudh reached to her cheeks and wiped her tears away with his fingers, before lightly rubbing the underside of her nose too with his thumbs.

Somnath shuddered, noticing this.

How, just how could his Dada do this disgusting act of wiping Bondita's nose with his fingers?

"You're crying," Anirudh said softly, "Yet I'm right here in front of you now."

"Very well, let's get out of here, all of us!" Batuk said dramatically, "We don't matter anyways! Let's give them their moment! I'm sure Big D wants to feed Boudi roshogullas privately anyways! We don't all want to get traumatized do we by his special way of feeding her roshogullas?"

Kaka glared at Batuk, not understanding what his nephew was going on about, but it didn't sound decent.

Somnath just sighed, nodding in agreement, and left from there.

Manika also left, believing it was best to give them some space.

Sampoorna had to change Sashwati's cloth diaper so she left as well, and Binoy wasn't interested in being here so he left too.

All that remained was Kaka, who was eyeing Anirudh and Bondita's fake affection.

They had mastered their craft! They were so good at their drama, that it looked very real!

"Shiv Shiv Shiv. I refuse to be fooled!" he just murmured, and then, he too left from there.

When they were alone, Anirudh held Bondita's shoulders and made her sit on the sofa.

Bondita held in her tears, and looked at him, feeling very bad to show him her teary face as soon as he entered the haveli.

"Look what I brought for you Bondita," he said, feeling like perhaps this could instantly lighten up Bondita's mood.

Bondita noticed the handiyas on the table, and all of a sudden, her heart started to ache again.

Her Pati Babu thought so much about her, and inside her womb, was the key to crushing all of his hopes and dreams.

How could she do this to him?

"For you missy," Anirudh said, opening a handiya and picking a roshogulla out of it, "These are your favourite roshogullas Bondita. All the way from Calcutta."

Tears were in Bondita's eyes, as Anirudh placed the roshogulla in her mouth.

All of a sudden, she felt her gag reflex act up again, and Bondita's hand rushed to her mouth.

She wanted to enjoy the roshogullas. She really did. They were an expression of her Pati Babu's love for her, but the roshogullas just weren't sitting well in her system anymore. So she got up and ran out of there, the urgent need to throw up filling up her system.

Anirudh watched with shock as Bondita ran out of the room to throw up.

"What happened to Bondita? How is it that her favourite roshogullas are making her throw up?" Anirudh wondered, as he watched her go.

He looked down at the roshogullas, and all of a sudden anger filled his insides.

"That store!" Anirudh said angrily, "They didn't make the roshogullas properly, and made my Bondita throw up!"

He would write a letter to that sweets store, warning them that they had to improve their hygiene and only use fresh ingredients when making roshogullas, because his wife got sick due to them!

He might even file a lawsuit!

How unethical! Hygiene and quality ingredient standards ought to be maintained!

And this wasn't any sweets store either -- he got the roshogullas from a well-known, safe place, that he had been certain would not hurt Bondita's stomach.

Anirudh got up, and ran after Bondita, leaving the roshogullas there on the table.

After she threw up in the locked bathroom inside their bedroom, Bondita stifled another sob and looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes were sunken, and there wasn't a brightness in her face anymore.

Her Pati Babu must be wondering what happened to her.

"How do I tell you Pati Babu, that the sweetness in my life has all been destroyed? Now there's only bitterness... only bitterness," she sobbed, looking into the bathroom mirror. "My body can't even handle my favourite roshogullas anymore."

Her hand moved to her stomach, down towards her navel.

"Why did you come? Why did you come to give pain to your parents? Why are you here to be the source of your M - Maa and B - Baba's pain?"  she sobbed, gripping her navel, her words fumbling as she said Maa and Baba, "You should leave. Make things easy for us and go. Find another home. Find another Maa and Baba who will not look at you and feel doomed for their whole life! You deserve better too! You deserve better parents than us!"

Her heart bled as she said these words that sliced her insides like knives, but she couldn't help it.

She couldn't help the agony that she felt each time she remembered her Pati Babu.

"Bondita?" Anirudh's voice softly called out, and he knocked on the bathroom door, "Is everything okay?"

Bondita quickly wiped her tears and washed her face, taking a deep breath.

She wiped her face dry, and forced a smile in the mirror, practicing it to make sure it looked perfect, before she unlocked the door and headed out.

"Pati Babu..." her words came out overly cheerful, and Anirudh watched her with a slight suspicion.

"What's wrong Bondita? Is everything okay?" he asked, going up to her and cupping her face in between his hands. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Pati Babu," Bondita said, looking at him, smiling.

Anirudh caressed her cheeks lovingly with his thumbs and smiled back.

"Good. That sweet store! I will file a case against them --" he started.

Bondita couldn't help but smile genuinely at how adorable he was being, along with feel the pang in her heart that it wasn't due to the roshogullas that she threw up.

"Please don't," she just said softly, "I really am fine Pati Babu."

A relieved smile appeared on his lips.

Bondita looked in his eyes, feeling like she could just drown in them and forget about everything.

Suddenly, before she could process anything, Anirudh closed the gap between their mouths and kissed her hard, passionately

"I missed you so much," he said against her lips, and before she could say anything more, he deepened the kiss, his tongue entering her mouth immediately.

Bondita's hands clutched his waistcoat tightly, her eyes widening, as she pushed him back slightly.

Anirudh looked at her, shocked.

"Don't... don't... kiss... me..."
