Five months later...

His lips were on her neck, as his body slammed against hers from above, sending tingling sensations of pleasure throughout her system.

"Bondita," Anirudh moaned, sucking on her neck.

Bondita dug her nails into his back as he made love to her, tears in her eyes.

He was going to leave in the morning.

"I'm going to miss you so much," his thick voice said into her ear, making her toes curl with pleasure.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she felt his thrusts, each one forceful and full of passion.

"Me too," she cried.

Anirudh placed his hand on her cheek and turned it to face him so that he could kiss her lips.

"Don't cry," he murmured against her mouth, "How can I go if my Bondita is crying?"

A sob escaped her lips into his as he continued to make love to her.

She was feeling so many emotions at once -- from incredible pleasure from the lovemaking to the heart ache of having to separate from her Pati Babu for at least three weeks.

His conference was for that duration, and had the chances to even be extended for longer.

Anirudh moved his lips to her ear and murmured softly, "The new school year is beginning. It's your final year Bondita. You have to work hard. We have to apply to study for barrister studies in a few months. In the last decade, India has opened more options for the degree, but we will apply in London too."

Bondita squeezed her eyes shut.

Only her Pati Babu would go on a full speech about how studies were important, and plan their career while making love to her!

"Pati Babu..." Bondita said, half-whining and half emotional because he was leaving. "You know I work hard."

Anirudh caressed her hair lovingly, still thrusting.

"I know. Even last year you topped. Not just you, but Batuk didn't do so badly either under your guidance," Anirudh said with a smile, "But it doesn't matter how well you did for all these years Bondita, if this final year is not up to mark. This is the most important year. There's no room for mistakes."

Bondita pouted.

She was used to these lectures, but they were in the middle of lovemaking

Nevertheless, he was leaving in the morning, so she was enjoying his rants about how important her studies were. Who knew if she would get to hear this for another few weeks?

"I know you wanted to come with me to Calcutta," Anirudh said softly to her, "But you would miss too much school. And in this year, that is not something I can allow to happen."

Bondita brushed her hand in his hair, turning her face and smashing her lips onto his, distracting him momentarily.

"I understand," she said against his lips, "Now focus here."

Anirudh smiled and whispered, "I'm always focused on you missy."

She deepened the kiss and Anirudh inwardly chuckled. He meant every word he said about her studies and career, but he had also distracted his Bondita from her pain. Now at least she wasn't crying.

Bondita rubbed her body up against him as he increased his paces. She knew that he had just distracted her by trying to create annoyance in her, but in every portion of herself, there was only love that emanated for her Pati Babu.

Their dreams were closer than ever, and he was more excited.

And for his excitement to manifest into reality, she was excited too.

After their passion that night, they rested in bed together, cuddling. Neither of them wanted to sleep, because they knew that as soon as dawn broke, Anirudh would need to leave.

Anirudh was playing with Bondita's fingers, while she snuggled into the crevice of his neck, inhaling his scent.

"Before school starts again, if you want to visit your Thakumaa, you can go and see her," Anirudh offered. "Last time when we went, she kept on asking for you to come during the holidays again."

The last time they went -- that had not been long ago. They had gone to get new pills, since the pills from last year had finished.

It was quite an eventful day.

A week and a half ago:

Bondita was talking to her Thakumaa on the phone, trying to hide so that nobody would hear her conversation.

"Thakumaa, I need..." she gulped, as Somnath walked into the hall where the phone was. "That medication."

Somnath passed her in the hallway, rolling his eyes. What kind of medication could Bondita possibly need?

"Medication?" Thakumaa asked absent-mindedly.

"That one..." Bondita emphasized, unable to say exactly what it was because Somnath was there.

He had his last medical exams in a few days, and then he had to await the results. Once that happened, he would get his medical degree.

Somnath walked away from Bondita, not interested anyways. He had lots of work to do for his final exams!

Bondita breathed a sigh of relief when Somnath left.

"Bondita, when are you coming?" Thakumaa just asked, changing the subject.

"Thakumaa, I'll come but I need something from you. Those pills," Bondita murmured, "The... contraception ones."

Bondita was met with a deafening silence.

"I see," Thakumaa just said after a few moments. "The ones you and Roopa lied to me to get?"

Bondita blushed and she said, "Please Thakumaa, we are almost out of the pills."

"I can't just give pills over the phone. You have to come here and I have to do a proper checkup," Thakumaa informed. "But Bondita, I don't think I can give you anymore of those pills. Taking pills isn't necessary for you. If you want to talk further, come to Krishnanagar."

Bondita had gone to Krishnanagar with Anirudh a few days later, hiding it from everyone at the house including Kaka.

Kaka asked them before leaving where they were going, and Anirudh just lied that they were going on a drive

When the two of them went inside Thakumaa's haveli, Bondita's eyes lit up with happiness as she recalled all the memories from the previous summer.

How her and Roopa used to sneak around in their newfound moments of passion!

Thakumaa was incredibly pleased to see them, giving Bondita a tight hug before ordering Rimjhim to make coffee for her Jamai Babu.

Rimjhim didn't look happy but she went to do it immediately.

After hugging Thakumaa, Bondita had hugged her but Rimjhim had just patted her back awkwardly, and she just folded her hands together in front of Anirudh as a nomoshkaar gesture.

Tapur had run down the stairs and hugged Bondita tightly. Bondita smiled and hugged her cousin happily.

"How are you Tapur?" Bondita asked with excitement, seeing that she had grown a little bit too.

"Great! I'm so happy that you came Bondita Didi! Tupur Didi comes a lot with Chandrachur Jamai Babu," Tapur informed, "But you should come more often too!"

"How is Tupur?" Bondita asked.

"She seems okay, she is coming today too," Tupur informed. "Thakumaa has some medicine for her."

"Oh," Bondita just said with a smile, hoping that she would get a chance to meet Tupur as well.

"Enough Tapur, you go upstairs. I have to talk to my Mishti Maye and Bondita about something important," Thakumaa said, a glint in her eyes as she referred to Anirudh as Mishti Maye. "And inform Sumati after she's free, and Shoumik as well that Bondita and Jamai Babu are here. They will be happy to see them."

Anirudh just smiled when Thakumaa referred to him as Mishti Maye.

"Where is Maa?" Bondita asked, looking around for her mom.

"She's fine. She'll come soon. She is meditating in front of Durga Maa," Thakumaa informed.

Bondita nodded and glanced at her Pati Babu nervously.

They could have got the contraception from another source, but Anirudh didn't trust anyone, and Thakumaa was a well known Vaid. It had taken a long time before Anirudh even trusted her medications.

"So, you tell me. How is Zamindar Babu?" Thakumaa questioned.

Bondita glanced at Anirudh and smiled. She was particularly interested in her Kakasasurji!

"He's great Thakumaa! But we didn't tell him we are coming," Bondita said.

"Why? Why didn't you tell him?" Thakumaa asked, furrowing her brows and looking a little sad.

"Because of what we came here for. You know, don't you Thakumaa?" Anirudh asked.

Thakumaa sighed heavily and said, "Jamai Babu, last time that I gave you those medications, it was because Roopa's bimar pati couldn't keep his hands off her, and she could have severe health complications, if she were to get pregnant again."

Anirudh and Bondita both blushed as they recalled those days.

Thakumaa questioned, "Is there any extenuating circumstances such as that one this time?"

Anirudh nodded and said, "Of course there is Thakumaa. Bondita is entering her final year of school. She's going to become a barrister after this. Only when she's twenty, she'll get her degree, and then we will stop asking you for the contraception."

Bondita looked at Anirudh, a small smile on her lips.

So he was okay with having children directly after she completed her studies, was it?

Should she start a countdown? The thought was making her go giddy with excitement! Her and her Pati Babu's children!

"We have worked so hard for this moment Thakumaa, and we just need some more time," Anirudh added on, "Bondita prefers your pills. She doesn't get any major side effects from taking them. It has done well with her body too."

Thakumaa leaned back in her seat and sighed.

"Bondita has entered her seventeenth year of life, she's not a child anymore Anirudh. She can handle pregnancy," Thakumaa said.

Anirudh winced at the idea and he said, "She's... well, yes, she's physically an adult. I agree. But, in my point of view she's too young to bear those responsibilities. And pregnancy will have many changes on her body... and her mental state, and our priorities are something else... on her becoming a barrister!"

"So are you saying that a mother cannot handle both work and children?" Thakumaa questioned, sounding offended, "You do know that I practically raised Shoumik and Arvind all by myself, while working as a Vaid? Now am I not a successful Vaid? I didn't even have a big joint family to help me... but look at you Roy Choudharys. You have so many who can raise your kids along with you. How is that an issue?"

Bondita looked at her Thakumaa with admiration. Perhaps it ran in her genetics, her tarks

This was exactly the point she had once tried to convince her Pati Babu about! She fully believed that even if they did have children, their dreams would be fulfilled. Nothing could stop that!

"Her age! Thakumaa, you know one time, Kaka tried to get me to..." he took a deep breath, as those horrid memories flashed in front of his eyes... he had shielded Bondita from the trauma back then but the effects of what Kaka did had traumatized him instead. He confessed, "... Kaka tried to get me to consummate with Bondita, within months after her first menstruation. He wanted me to start a parivarik jeevan with her. Don't tell me you support ideas like that too."

Bondita gulped. Even she knew that was too young, and she wouldn't have been able to handle pregnancy back then.

After all, she had been a child herself!

She could still recall how she believed she was pregnant after their first 'suhaagraat' where they jumped on the bed and broke it. Anirudh had even thrown off her bangles and broke them! Bondita had been convinced that the suhagraat had been successful and she was going to be a mother!

Everyone had even known about it -- Vikram, Batuk, Manika Didi, even Kakasasurji and the family... everyone except her Pati Babu.

When he found out, he had been so embarrassed to learn that the whole world knew that he would be fathering a non-existent child!

That was how Bondita received her first sex education lesson.

"Well, that is young," Thakumaa agreed, "Zamindar Babu has always been like that. He only wanted the best for you two, but yes, he was wrong in that matter. To bear a child, one should have attained a level of physical strength in their body... and at that age, Bondita would not have had that strength. It could have been detrimental to her health."

"Exactly!" Anirudh said, bringing his arm down like he usually did when he proved a point. "And now, Bondita may be old enough to have sexual relations, but bearing a child, no, never!"

Never? Bondita furrowed her brows and looked at her Pati Babu. She thought he was okay with it after she turned twenty and became a barrister! Perhaps this would take a lot of convincing even after that!

Thakumaa raised her brow and said, "Jamai Babu, if a woman is old enough to have sexual relations, then she is old enough to deal with the consequences of that too. Bondita has attained that physical strength in her body. She can certainly carry a child. And in fact, she is in her most fertile years. Look... Jamai Babu, the greater the age gap between a mother and child, the harder it'll be to understand them and relate to them. There will be a generation gap."

Bondita looked at Thakumaa, thinking she had a point.

"Look at you and Zamindar Babu. Does your thinking match in any level? Even take me and Bondita, even between us, there were many things we couldn't understand or agree with between each other," Thakumaa explained, "But me and Arvind, or me and Shoumik... our age gap is smaller, so there was more understanding."

Anirudh nodded with a sigh.

"I understand your point. I get it," Anirudh said, "But there are pros to the other side too. If a woman is older, then maybe she has the maturity required to handle a child?"

"And you're saying that Bondita isn't mature?" Thakumaa questioned.

"She is. Certainly!" Anirudh said, "But she has to become a barrister first... and Thakumaa... I'm not ready for Bondita to become a mother before she becomes 20, even if studies wasn't our path."

A look of pain appeared in his eyes and he said, "My Maa... she had me when she was 14... and she... she almost died. Of pre eclampsia."

Bondita looked at Anirudh with shock.

This was the first time she heard this. Nobody ever spoke about the struggles that Shubra Maa went through to have her children.

Thakumaa looked at Anirudh sympathetically and said, "I understand. As a Vaid, I have seen situations where girls are pregnant before they are ready, and there are many times the child isn't born healthy... is born stillborn, or the mother... passes away unfortunately, and pre eclampsia is one huge reason for this. But it depends on a case by case basis. It's not such a firm thing as age, although a young age can be a big factor... again, it depends on their physical and mental state. These are very important for a healthy pregnancy, and healthy delivery. This is why I told you, Zamindar Babu was wrong to make you start a family with Bondita at her young and tender age."

Bondita reached for Anirudh's hand and gripped it reassuringly.

Now she understood the root of his fears even more. He was afraid to hurt her. Afraid to lose her.

Their dreams may be a factor behind his decision to not have children right now, but her life was too.

"Thakumaa, I don't want to take any risks with Bondita's career. I need it to go smoothly," Anirudh just said. "Please... Thakumaa. At least for the sake of her career. You did great, handling a family and your career, and I admire you for that. But you must know how difficult it was. I don't want to put Bondita through that difficulty."

Bondita looked at Anirudh, and she saw his heartbroken expression.

She knew he was holding back the most important words that he just couldn't utter.

If she gets pregnant before our dreams are fulfilled, then I'll die...

He wouldn't hear any tarks about this matter. It was not upto discussion for him.

Bondita knew of his emotional and mental state. She knew how he was. He would blame himself, feel guilty, feel like a failure and a wreck. Like his whole life had no purpose.

He would go into depression, and a scary one.

She couldn't get pregnant at any cost.

She had to protect her Pati Babu.

"Please Thakumaa," Bondita said softly.

Thakumaa sighed and she said, "Alright Jamai Babu, since you're requesting me. I'm willing to give you the medications."

Anirudh grinned and he said, "Thank you Thakumaa."

A pout on her lips, Bondita wondered whether this was bias! If she requested, her Thakumaa wouldn't oblige? But nevertheless, she was glad that Thakumaa agreed!

"Please don't say thank you. It makes me uncomfortable," Thakumaa just said, and she smiled, "I'll go and package it for you now. Why don't you come with me while I get it ready? Then Bondita can spend time with Sumati and Tapur."

"Of course," Anirudh said with a nod.

That was when Rimjhim came with Anirudh's coffee, and she set it in front of him.

"Thank you Rimjhim Kaki," Anirudh said with a smile.

Rimjhim forced a smile back and said, "Thakumaa, I hope you remember Tupur's medication? She will be here soon with Jamai Babu."

"Of course Rimjhim. Why will I forget about her medication?" Thakumaa asked, "Tupur is my granddaughter too."

Anirudh took the coffee with him as he went to spend time with Thakumaa, and Bondita went to speak with Sumati, who had just finished her meditation.

After she met her Maa and Kaka, she was sitting on the living room sofa with her mother, when Chandrachur walked in, Tupur a few steps behind him, wearing a golden coloured Banarasi saree, the pallu over her head, sindoor in her hairline. She was holding her pallu over her face gently, as if she was shy and nervous.

As soon as they walked in, Sumati immediately stood up and took steps back, pulling her own pallu over her face and trying to hide herself.

Chandrachur's eyes landed on Bondita, and a slow smile appeared on his lips.

"We meet again... Bondita."

I have been planning this track since before Anirudh and Bondita went to Thakumaa's the first time around! Finally, it's here! I've done so much research, and have planned this extensively! I'm super excited!

Did you like the chapter?

Did you like the Anidita scene in the beginning?

The conversation between Anirudh/Thakumaa?

Finally the surprise entries in the end? 🤭

Are you excited for more?

MDMB was never meant to go on this long, but it is going on based on your interest ONLY.

Even though I started a new track, I have a HUGE plot planned for this, so it's a long one. However, if the star ratings continue to drop (as they have been for the last 12 or so chapters), then I will end the story in the middle of the track and give it an epilogue , because again I'm writing this for you!

If you press star, and comment, I'll feel your love and I'll know that you're wanting more... otherwise, it'll be the end of a beautiful journey for this story.

Hit star and share your comments for fast updates.

Love you all so much! 💜
