Bondita was not reacting to his touches, and this was scaring Anirudh even more.

What could he do to soothe her anger? He had to explain himself, but when he did, she might turn even more fierce.

He gripped her bare thighs under her dress tightly, as he looked up at her, like a lost little puppy.

Bondita looked away from him, not falling for his cuteness today!

"Bondita," Anirudh said softly, "Look at me."

She was fuming now, her chest heaving up and down, and she didn't turn her face.

"Will you be mad at me without giving me one chance to explain?" he asked her. "You won't look at your Pati Babu now, when he's requesting?"

She finally turned to look at him, a fierce look in her eyes, and Anirudh tried hard to not look away with fear.

Her wrath was certainly scary!

"First take your hands off my legs!" she finally ordered, as Anirudh looked up at her with a pout.

The legs that he had waited so long to feel! Alas, he had to let go of them now.

Bondita saw his pout, and this caused her to look away again! No, she couldn't fall for it!

"Alright," Anirudh said sadly, trailing his fingers down her thighs slowly, pulling his hands away from the inside of her dress.

Bondita noticed his extremely slow pace, and a sense of fulfillment almost washed over her. That meant that he was reluctant to stop feeling her. She was quite pleased to see this.

However, she was still very, very angry.

Bondita stood up from the chair she was sitting on, and Anirudh got up too, afraid to say anything more.

She seemed so upset, that even his breathing could set her off.

"Okay," Bondita started, as she turned around and leaned her back against his desk, grabbing the edges of it with both of her hands.

Anirudh watched her pose, finding her irresistible yet again.

"O - okay?" Anirudh asked, trying to keep the thoughts in his mind noble

Was everything really okay?

"Okay, you can have one chance to explain yourself," Bondita said simply, "Because I know that everyone deserves a chance to defend themselves and share their side of the story. I don't think everyone knows this though!"

It was a direct attack at him -- how he hadn't listened to her explanation yesterday, and Anirudh gulped again.

"So explain yourself... Barrister Babu," Bondita said, taking his title in the way that he didn't like. "Are these your books and magazines?"

He was her Birristira Babu, not Barrister Babu!

Anirudh looked at her, his heart pounding fast, as she took on her scariest form -- the one he trained her for -- her barrister form.

She was cross-questioning him, and he had to answer correctly, so that he didn't get sentenced to a punishment!

"Bondita, t - they are my books and magazines," Anirudh confirmed, and the way the fire in her eyes grew made him gulp again. "B - But I don't read them now."

Bondita furrowed her eyebrows at him and stepped towards him, letting go of her grip on the desk.

Anirudh stumbled backwards, as she stepped towards him.

He should just put a barrister robe on her now, because she was clearly taking his case! She needed no degree for this!

"You don't read them now, meaning? When did you read them?" Bondita demanded.

Anirudh looked at her and sighed. He wanted to explain this to her sitting down, gently, but it seemed like there was no scope for that, now that she had turned this study into a courtroom.

"Bondita, I read them when I was younger," he confessed.

Bondita glared at him hard, not sure if she should feel relieved that he didn't read those adult magazines now, or offended that he read them when he was younger yet scolded her when she even read romance novels!

"Younger? How young?" Bondita demanded, as the colour drained once more from Anirudh's face.

"Uh, well... I was in London..." he said.

"So before you became a barrister?" she questioned, watching him with her intense gaze.

Anirudh gulped and nodded.

"And at that time, did it not hit you that you should focus on your studies?" Bondita demanded, glaring at him.

Anirudh took a deep breath, not sure if he should be proud of her for displaying her argumentative skills or afraid for himself.

"Bondita, I've experienced these things, which is why I'm telling you not to do the same things I did!" Anirudh told her. "Don't make the same mistakes I made!

"But you were still a gold medalist barrister?" Bondita questioned intensely.

Anirudh sighed.

"Yes, Bondita."

"So if you can read all of these and become a gold medalist barrister, why can't I?" Bondita questioned, her eyes still piercing right through him.

"Bondita, you can do anything and become a gold medalist barrister if you study hard. I just can't take any risks with you --" he started, and was interrupted by her.

She said intensely, "I know that! You've said it many times that you can't take any risks with my career! But you have read all of these books as a teenager, and you are saying I shouldn't! Can you explain this? Don't say that it was a mistake, unless you can prove it, because you're still a gold medalist barrister. If it is a mistake, then explain it better! Prove it!"

Bondita was taking his case big time, and Anirudh really was having a difficult time answering all of her questions.

"I'm protective about you Bondita," he confessed, "I'm very protective."

He sighed and he continued, "One time... a long time ago, do you remember when Manika kissed your cheek? When I had taken you to her... so that she could explain to you what a suhaagraat is?"

Bondita nodded, remembering that day. She had been so confused by her Pati Babu's action, but it only registered way later why he had been so shocked by her behaviour!

She had innocently told Vikram and Batuk that she would have a suhaagraat with them and that everyone should have one because it was fun!

Back then, the young and naïve Bondita assumed that having a suhagraat meant jumping on the bed, and she was an advocate for suhagraats! Not just that, but Bondita believed she was pregnant

Now, when she looked back at those moments, she was quite embarrassed of herself. She had given her Pati Babu such a tough time, and clearly those tough times weren't over!

"She kissed your cheek that day, and I had seen that... even that made me uncomfortable Bondita," he told her softly.

Bondita recalled how her Pati Babu tried to wipe her cheek as if there were germs on it that day.

"I want to know about everything that goes on in your life. I want to be present and there for every moment. And I want to know what you're reading, what kind of information you're putting in your head... I just... I need to know Bondita," he told her. "I only want my Bondita to be made aware of things in the most optimal way. That's why when Manika kissed your cheek, at that time, I couldn't even handle it, because I wanted only the purest of things to touch you... and nothing was pure enough to go near my Bondita... not even me."

Bondita's heart melted slightly when he said this.

However, it wasn't good enough for her today!

She was going to remain adamant!

"Your protective nature is one thing... but that doesn't make it always right," she responded intensely. "There's a line between protectiveness and overprotectiveness! Don't you think so Barrister Babu?"

Anirudh pouted again, looking adorable, and Bondita averted her gaze in order to not fall for it! The fire in her eyes hadn't died, and she was determined to keep it burning!

"I'm not small anymore! You have said when you entrusted me with all of your money that I'm old enough to make my own decisions... so why can't you trust me? Fine, if you don't want to trust me... don't you think you should trust the way you brought me up? Why don't you trust the way you have planted this seed and watered and nourished it every single day?" Bondita asked intensely.

Anirudh couldn't help but smile slightly when she called herself his seed, and he understood that she was correct.

He was being overprotective, and this overprotective nature was causing him to try to control her.

That wasn't right.

She was old enough to make her own judgement calls, and he had moulded her into a beautiful shape by imparting all the right values in her. Anirudh knew that it meant he had to let go for her to shine.

He couldn't smother her, no matter how protective he was.

In order for her to grow further, he had to let her explore things by herself and if it came to it, even make her own mistakes.

"You're not just my seed or my plant, you're my Universe Bondita. My whole Universe! And about me not trusting you. Do you really think I don't do that?" he asked her. "I trust you more than myself!"

Her heart was melting slightly again when he referred to her as his Universe, but again, she refused to budge!

Bondita nodded and she said, still sounding upset, "I know how much faith you have in me! But at times you forget it... do you really think I'll go astray if I read these?"

Anirudh responded, "I know I said some things out of anger, but..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Bondita had reached for the adult magazines on the desk.

"Barrister Babu..." she started, once again using the name he didn't like and making him look at her with shock.

It was time to snap her Pati Babu out of it and show him that he could let go of his overprotectiveness -- that even if she read these things, nothing would corrupt her! His Bondita would be absolutely fine!

"Only you can read these?" Bondita demanded, her voice intense, as she grabbed the stack of adult magazines. "Now I'm going to read these!"

Anirudh's eyes widened with shock.

Was this her verdict? Was this the judge's punishment for him?

"B - Bondita no!" Anirudh gasped, feeling like his life was leaving him -- he felt like his heart could fail at any moment now!

Although they just had a conversation about his overprotectiveness, and he even agreed that he should trust her judgement, it was all too sudden! He was too protective of her to let her see these images!

He needed time for this lesson to sink in... she was making it abrupt for him, not giving him any time.

But, she was adamant to rip the bandage off quickly, instead of letting it come off slowly and painlessly!

Bondita took the magazines and clutched them tightly to her chest and bolted up the stairs of the study with them.

Anirudh was frozen for a moment as he watched her run up the stairs. He felt beads of sweat form on the palms of his hands, as he noticed her bare thighs as the dress fluttered behind her when she ran. He could see quite high up her thighs now.

Oh God. He needed to stop himself right now, and stop her too.

"BONDITA!" Anirudh finally bellowed, as he chased her into their bedroom.

Bondita had already made it on top of their bed, the stack of magazines on the side table, one magazine in her hands. Her dress had crawled up to her thighs messily, her bare legs and feet pressed together sideways, as she glanced at the cover of the magazine.

Anirudh quickly locked the door behind him and rushed over to her on the bed so that he could grab it out of her hands.

She had already flipped it open, and was gaping at a black and white image of a naked woman with shock.

"You used to see this?" she demanded, looking up at him with her intense eyes. "You used to look at other women? What did you do when you saw this? Did you get turned on?"

Her tone was quite sarcastic, and it was clear that she wasn't happy about this.

Anirudh felt his throat dry up again.

How was he going to answer her now?
