I wait, and I wait
They all walk past me and ignore my pleading eyes
They glance my way, but no one dares to speak

One day we're happy,
The next day you treat me as if I'm nothing
Is that how you feel about me?

I pray that we will both be healed,
But you must have other plans,
Because I see no love from you anymore

I am exhausted from trying to fix this,
Why is it that I'm the only one who's trying?
Is everything you've ever told me a lie?

Do you truly believe me when I tell you I'm fine?
You sit there ignoring me,
Ignoring me because you don't want to deal with this sorrow
But would it help if I told you I need you?

Caring for each other is how this is supposed to work,
We are supposed to be there for one another,
But why is that so hard for you?

I thought you told me you would always be there for me,
How come you aren't there for me?

Please don't hurt me anymore,
You've done enough damage,
Do my words have any meaning?

But I'm done waiting,
I'm done being thrown to the side,
I thought we would always have each other
I guess I was wrong
