As soon as I left Casey I went to the lake. No one is there during this time. So I sit at the edge. Casey will be happy now. Falen's back and that's what she's always wanted in the first place.

" Are we really gonna give up. She's giving everything to be with us. She made a deal with the devil Rose. "

" Taylor Falen's back and Casey is bound to choose her over me. So why not give up. Vera explained to us that it's only a matter of time and I'll just be more hurt in the future if I think she'll stay with me. " Taylor growls

" You're being an idiot. Watch Casey won't run to Falen. She has her heart invested into you. Into us. And you just stomped on it when everything is getting tough. You know Tyler's back too. She has a daughter to protect. And you just give up because of what again? "

" Taylor I just don't want to get my heart torn to pieces. "

" How the hell are we gonna fight this hard just to fucking give up. Why the hell even try in the first place Rose !?"

" I thought we had a chance. "

" We still do. We just can't give up. She loves us and you know it. Casey is fighting for us. When usually it's us fighting for her. "

" But this isn't the same Casey we knew a year ago. She's different. She's all together now. Her and her wolf and demon are finally at peace. When one speaks they all speak. And Vera explained that they'll be going back to Falen and I won't stand in their way. "

" Taylor don't be that way. " Shaking my head I stand.

" Do us a favor and ask yourself why your standing in your own way of happiness. For Casey? For Falen? I think it's because never loved Casey. You loved the idea of her. A Wanderer and a Hybrid doesn't that sound exciting? See me I've loved Casey since I first saw her. And I'm apart of you and I will not give up so easily. So why are you? Was the idea that made you fight so hard ? Or was it that you did truly love her? " My eyes go big at the thought of only loving the idea of Casey. No it's not that way. I've always loved her. All of her. Her flaws and all. No matter what she did or does I will always love her.

" THEN WHY GIVE UP ?!?"

" BECAUSE!!! "

" Rose? " I turn quickly to see Falen with a questioning look on her face.

" Are you okay ? "

" Yeah I'm fine. How long have you been standing there? " I ask because I didn't sense when she came over.

" Oh not long. Just to the point where you screamed. " She leans against at tree with her arms folded.

" Why are you out here? "

" Casey came back very distraught and only let Michele touch her. " I growl at the thought of Michele comforting her. They've been intimate and Michele has been there for her in her darkest times.

" I just came to ask why you broke your bond. You do know now she's free of you Hel can retract on her deal. It was while you two were mates that she even agreed. " I glare at her.

" Is that really your only reason to know why ? "

" Oh yes. Rose I've always respected you. You never gave up on Casey. You always fought no matter what. Hell I admired that about you. But now knowing that you just broke your bond just to give up. I now know your not brave or courageous. No you hm you are a coward. I do hope that once I get Casey back you will get no place near her or right beside her. Because you gave up and I don't want cowards whose scared to protect my love. " She smiles and turns to leave.

" Isn't that laughable. How do you know Casey will go to you. What if she decides that she doesn't want the heartache that comes with you and I. What If she decides to go the safe route. And mate with Michele. Hell what if she goes with Revana. Shit Serenity too. Everyone loves her. And those three seems more sensible to mate with than a new born Fae who isn't even strong enough to rule her kingdom. " She's frozen in place and I smirk. She turns quickly her Fae tattoos showing prominently and she pushes me.

" WHAT THE FUCK. " I yell as I fall into the water.

" I do hope you become miserable once you see Casey happy in my arms. " she walks away and I climb out the water.

" Tsk childish. " I start to take my clothes off once I climb out so I can shift. I stop in my tracks when I think about heading back. Maybe I shouldn't.

" That's our pack why be scared of going back. Oh I know you broke the heart of their Alpha. They may not shun us. But most likely the will. "

" Shut up Taylor. " once I reach the pack house I realize in a way he wasn't lying. I shift back in my room and put some cloths on haven't put any shoes on yet when a sharp pain shoots through my foot.

" SHIT !!" I jump up and see Athena glaring at me.

" You made my mommy sad I don't like you. " She then runs off and I look around everyone looks to be in a mood now.

" It's crazy because I'm trying to figure out why the hell are we still doing this. This is the fourth time she's lost her mate and this time you left her willingly. The first time she was reject. Do you know how that feels? " Revana states as she leans against the doorframe.

" Revana I'm-

" Don't speak my name. To tell you the truth I don't want you or Falen near her. Casey's strong now. So she doesn't need a mate at the moment. But when she does I'm making sure they are the plainness person alive. Or someone so loyal unlike you that they wouldn't even think about breaking the mate bond. " I frown as Revana steps closer to me.

" Why not you? " looking to the ground then back up again she shakes her head.

" Regardless of if I'm mated with her or not I will always be there for her. See you should of stayed a loyal Beta nothing more nothing less. " She then leaves.

" I wonder if I'll get lectured by every one. "

" Probably. " I almost jump out of my cloths when I hear the voice behind me.

" But that's the thing you have to deal with when you hurt someone and they have people who care for them am I correct love. " I nod

" When did you get to the pack house? "

" The other day. I'm just spending time with Athena and Amanda. You know Athena is already her child and there's no getting around it. Amanda thinks of Casey as her mother. Oh that makes me a grandmother. Isn't that exciting. " Casey mother smiles as she sits on my bed.

" You're not mad. " She tilts her head to the side then smiles softly.

" Come sit and I'll tell you why I'm not mad. Saddened but not mad. " I nod then sit next to her.

" You'd think most if not all mothers would be angry but no. Casey being a hybrid I knew there would be heartbreak. Whether it's the other or Casey. In this case Casey is the one. Well in all the cases." I frown

" I never wanted to-

" Oh love I know you didn't want to hurt her. You love her. As they all do." she stands then looks down at me.

" Mathew rejected her. He didn't want to opens his eyes a see that he couldn't be selfish. Falen died for her. She risked her life for Casey and lost it. Well one of them. You gave your life for hers. Casey died in order to make sure wrath did not become her. Now you broke your bond with Casey. Another rejection. All because you think Casey would leave you. See you all did it wrong. " I stand up confused.

" What do you mean? "

" None of you lived for her. " She starts to leave and I shake my head.

" Does the same go for her. " I question and she nods

" Casey lived for each and everyone of you. "

" I lived for her. " She frowns

" No you fought for her. You gave your life for her. No you did not LIVE for her. "

" She never lived for us. " Casey mom walks closer to me a little to close for comfort. Grabbing my hands with hers she closes her eyes.

" Close your eyes. " I do as I'm told as soon as my eyes close I'm pushed into a memory.
