Caseys pov

I smell the air as soon as I reach home. The smell is so inviting and once I see Athena and Amanda running towards me I can't help but to smile. Picking Athena up first on one hip and then Amanda on the other. They both gab at the same time I don't really understand something about wanting to go in a trip with me next I think.

" Slow down guys I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. " I put them down and they pout then look behind me and frown.

" Who are they mommy. " Athena asks and points at Nicki and Anna.

" This is Nicki and Anna they're friends of mine. You be nice to them okay. " Amanda nods and grabs Anna's hand and pulls her towards the house. While Athena scrunched her eyes up at Nicki as he grabs my hand and hides behind my back.

" Nicki this is my daughter she's nice go with her okay. " he nods slowly and walks even slower after her as she runs after Amanda and Anna.

" Daughter? " Falen says as she walks up with a look on her face.

" Yeah I adopted her. She's my baby. Honestly. " Falen then nods and smiles.

" The pack house looks so inviting. " Falen states my thoughts earlier before walking off.

" Casey I'm glad you've returned so quickly. I see pearl and Richard were correct on their findings. " Michele nods towards Mathew.

" Yes they did a good job also in handling another situation as well. " I tell her and she nods as always closer than anyone else would dare try. She hands me some paper and I see her knuckles are scared.

" Michele you train teens. How in the world are your hands scared? " I ask as I bring her hand up for closer inspection.

" And why hasn't it healed yet? " I ask not giving her a chance to answer the first question.

" She punched Hel in the face not knowing you also put a protection spell on her while she's human. " Nina states walking up with her sister.

" You should have seen Hel's face though like Michele knocked her the fuck out. One hit gone. You trained her well. " Talia laughs and I look and Michele whose basically pouting.

" Jesus Michele. Why? " I ask and she shrugs and looks away.

" Michele you aren't a misfit teen. You're my beta. A grown woman. Answer me. "

" She did it to make sure I didn't hurt you again. " Hel states walking up with a smug look on her face.

" Really ? Michele go to the infirmary with Nina to get you hand fixed. And I do not want to here about this nonsense anymore. " I state sternly and Michele pouts some more before leaving with Nina. I shake my head and look to Hel.

" Are you alright? " She shrugs then tilts her head.

" I'm suppose to be cleaning the leaves off the ground but they keep falling." She says and I finally notice the take in her hand and the scatter of leaves piled around the yard.

" It's hard the wind keeps blowing and they won't stay in a pile. So I gave up. " She sounds like a irritated teen and I can't help but to laugh.

" Where's Mira she's suppose to help you do this. "

" Don't know who that is but I've been out here since this morning struggling. I mean why pick it up when the leaves keep falling? Why not wait till they all fall then pick it up? " I laugh at her questions and take the rake from her.

" Have you eaten? "

" Nope and I'm starving. Michele said I couldn't eat till I got done. " I nod those are the rules not eating till your chores are done.

" Alright come on I'm a bit hungry too. " we walk to the dinning room. When I find Mira I walk up to her with Hel in tow.

" Mira did you finish your chores? " she smiles then nods.

" Hey alpha. Yeah I finished around 7 this morning. "

" What are your chores Mira? " I ask

" To rake and wash the training pads. "

" Then why are there still leaves on the ground. " she laughs.

" I didn't know I had help so when I got done and she just woke up. Tally said she should have helped. So as punishment Tally did a spell to make it look like there were a lot of leaves to pick up. "

" Tsk that's so stupid. " Hel states from behind me and all I can do is shake my head.

" Just go and eat. " I sit down at the head of the table and Athena comes a sits in my lap.

" Mommy that lady said she's my other mommy. " Thinking Rose said it I look to where she's pointing smiling. Only to see Falen talking to Revana. As if she knew Athena had just told me what she said. She looks at me with a smug look.

" Casey you think we could go eat outside. " Rose asks with a basket in her hand with the cutest look on her face.

" How about it wanna eat with mommy." Athena frowns

" But she's not my other mommy. " Athena shakes her head and goes to Amanda.

" Falen said

" Yeah I was there when she said it. Plus I wanted to talk to you in private." Rose shrugs.

" Oh okay. Let's go then. " I get up and grab her hand. We go farther into the woods by the lake and sit down. I tell the couple of teens that's here to leave.

" So what's up ? " I ask as she passes me a sandwich.

" Are you gonna leave me? Falen's back and it looks like everyone's happy. Athena never really thought of me as her other mommy. Revana and Serenity never really took to me anyways. I never had enough time to get to know them. It was always something. Michele dislikes everyone but you. I never really had a chance for any of them to get to know me. " I set the food aside and kiss her.

" I know you. I now that you risked everything for me. I know that you were alone for a long time. I know that you love me. I know that you love the color green and that being outside is calming for you. I know that you like reading in your spare time and that your favorite singer is Keith Urban and country is your favorite genre of music, but you don't want anyone to know. Sometimes you sing in the shower only if you know that your alone. When you fight your left leg is weaker than your right. But your stronger hand is your left hand. I know you. I see the little thing. I watch you and that sounds creepy but I love you. I'm not leaving you. " I'm straddling her now and she's crying hell I'm crying too.

" Falen is my mate. She's my beloved. She's my heart. I still love her. You and I and everyone knows that. She'll always have my heart but my plans are not with her. My plans revolve around you. I mapped my life out with you at my side. " I kiss her again except this time harder. She looks at me and puts her hand through her hair.

" Then why when I first got back I felt you loving me as a whole. But now since seeing Falen I only feel a part of you loving me. " she's pushed me off her gently when my face freezes. I get up.

" Let me explain. " Vera asks and I just nod. She only feels a part of me loving her. It's only Vera. Right?

" Rose I love her. And I love you too but not how I love her. I know you've been through things. And I know all the things you've done for us but she is who I want. She is who I'll always want. " We push Rose's chin up. She's crying. Then my ears pop and I can't hear anything.

" I knew I could never leave her. I knew that. You knew that too. You knew once Falen returned you couldn't win against her. Casey loves you she does but her feelings are conflicted. Her true love is alive and well. Our true love is alive and well. Saga loves you dearly as well. She's the one keep my Casey to you but eventually Falen will win back Saga's feelings as well. Then we will leave you. You'll be more hurt because Casey told you we'd never leave but we did. You'll feel betrayed even though you knew this would happen. " Rose looks heart broken. I can't hear what's been said.

" So do yourself a favor when our conversation is over you will break the bond that's between us so that we can go to Falen. And you will be by our side like before. A trusted friend. " Her eyes go big. Her lips shaking. She nods

" I'm sorry but Falen is who we need. " Rose nods again but I don't know what's going on. What is Vera saying. Rose kisses me then sits down. As I gain control my ears pop.

" I understand. " Rose smiles my way and grabs a sandwich and starts eating.

" Vera what did you say? " I ask her

" I just explained things. " she states and I look back at Rose as she grabs my hand. I don't know why but it hurt. It made my heart feel like it was being stabbed. I start breathing hard. I see black spots.

" Rose I feel light head. "

" The bond we made. Out of love I thought. No longer remains. A wanderer I am. Once again. " I feel my heart clench. I blink rapidly hot tears streaming down my face.

" Why ? " I cry as she gets up.

" I will always love you Casey, but I have to go. " She kisses me then shifts and runs off. My heart still clenching.

" What did you say? " I ask Vera again.

" Only the truth. " Vera states sounding as if she's crying. I sit up and cross my legs into my meditation position.

" May I enter. "

" Of course you can. " They say in unison. Light floods and I enter our meadow. The suns not su shining. I see Vera and grab her by the collar

" WHAT DID YOU DO ?" She disappears and appears bit away from me fixing her shirt.

" She pushed Rose away. " Saga states angrily.

" Why ? We decided about this. Rose was who we were staying with. " Vera scoffs.

" We really. Saga decided. Well screamed. Honestly she made no sense. " Vera states glaring her way.

" I made no sense. Rose was there for us. And

" AND WHAT SAGA ? she just broke the bond. How did we react ? I told her to break the bond and right before you gained control I said if we don't react like we did with Falen then you should understand. We felt hurt. With Falen we were lost. We didn't know how to act. We were in the dark for so long. Are we in the dark now ? "

" Exactly. " Vera says when we don't respond.

" I don't regret it. I was a bit cold towards her I know but I had to. For her and for us. " She says sitting on a big boulder.

" I get it I do. I didn't want to hurt her. I lover her but. " Saga stops and shrugs.

" Saga. You and I.

" No it was just me. Casey I already knew where you heart has always been. You love Rose but you never would have never have loved her like you love Falen. That's why I fought so hard. That's why I had to make sure we fought. Because if not she would still be down there in The underworld. " I shake my head.

" I would have fought. " I say looking to the ground.

" Casey just stop. "

" Will she come back. "

" Yeah she just was waving before she changed her mind. Time away she said. To clear her mind. " Ver explains and I nod.

" But what about Hel. " Vera laughs.

" We already won that. She has feelings for Nina. "

" Oh okay. "

" Casey are you alright? " I nod.

" May I leave. " they look at each other.

" Of course you can. " Once back at the lake I clean our mess up and leave. Then I go straight back to my room. I didn't react like I should have. I love her. Whenever she smiled at me I felt happiness. How was I suppose to react.

" You know loves hard. " I turn and see Michele at the door.

" How did you know ? " she smiles.

" I felt your pain. Did you chase after her. " I shake my head. 

" I didn't think to. All I know is my heart hurts so much right now. " Michele hugs me tightly.

" All this is gonna work out Casey. Just go with the flow. Follow your heart. Don't get upset just do what you gotta do okay. Don't think to hard or too much. You always figure this type stuff out. Whatever happens in the end. Just happens. Okay. " I nod and she kisses my forehead. And holds me closer. I laugh I'm a grown woman being rocked like a child. Thing is I needed this.

" Thanks Michele. " She rubs my head.
