why must you be so hard on me?
I'm trying hard to stay afloat,
but your waters become heavier and heavier by the minute.
Every time I try to rise above the chains of anxiousness, you place your hand on my head, and hold me below the ocean.
You hold me down and force me to hold my breath.
You hold me down until I can't hold it, anymore.
I erratically swing my arms underneath that heavyweight water;
I beg you to bring me back.
I beg you to let me see the sky, again

Do you grant me my my wish?
No.
You continue to let me suffer,
making sure that I experience the bitter end of you.
You hold me down until your waters travel inside me and poison everything that I think; every beat that my heart takes.
I close my eyes...I sink below...
deeper and deeper... I'm gone.
BAM!
"Wake up!" You scream.
"Time for you to face another day!"
Another day of you.

I'm still dripping; soaking wet from yesterday's pain.
Chills cover every inch of my worried, little body.
Leave me alone.
Don't force me to deal with you, again.
You say that there are better sides to you.
So far, you've shown me the worst.
Break me from this madness.
Release me.
