Makoto Tachibana || Fire

Makoto Tachibana from Free! Iwatobi Swim Club

A/N: This is a filler chapter kinda. I had most of this written already a while back but was gonna save it until later since there's already a Makoto chapter. But since it's taking me so long to get another chapter out, I thought it's about time to send this one out to you guys!

Crunchgirl97, PLEASE GO WATCH THE DAVIE EPISODE OF HETALIA

Fire... It was everywhere. The flames you once thought were beautiful now surrounded you, ready to end your life.

You don't know what happened... You were sleeping in your apartment one second, then the fire alarms are going off the next second. You don't remember having anything on the stove, and there weren't any candles lit. So you could only assume that one of your neighbors started the fire that quickly spread through the building.

So now you were trapped in your bedroom, no way of escaping. You didn't have windows to try to climb out of; the door was too hot to open; and there was no way of you busting through a wall... But even so, you didn't want to accept your fate... You wanted to live... You wanted to travel the world, see new things and meet new people... You couldn't die here.

There was a banging on your bedroom door then, drawing your attention to it. The banging lasted a bit longer just before the door broke down, a man coming in.

"Hello? Is someone in here?" The man yelled, looking around the smoke filled room. You were about to answer him, but were cut off by a rough cough as the smoke filled your lungs more. The man heard you though and ran over to you, giving you a once over before lifting you up into a pair of strong arms and beginning his trek out of the burning building.

Everything happened in a blur. You were brought outside and quickly rushed over to an ambulance that put an oxygen mask on you as the paramedics checked you over. Thankfully you were okay though.

Weeks passed, and you continued with your life. You didn't let the fire scar you like most thought you would, you didn't see why you should. There was no point in holding yourself back from the things you want to do. Sure, you were more cautious around fire now, but you still thought the orange flames were beautiful when they danced on a candle or match.

You were walking up to your class at collage when a voice called out to you.

"(F/N) (L/N)?"

You turned around, seeing a very handsome man around your age. "Yes?"

"Um, hi. This might seem weird, but I wanted to see if you were okay?" A light blush appeared on his face as he looked at you with his gorgeous green eyes.

"Uh, yeah I am. And you are?"

"Oh! I'm sorry! I'm Makoto Tachibana, the firefighter that saved you last week."

Your eyes widened slightly as you started walking to him. You didn't think at all as you wrapped your arms around his strong chest and hugged him as tight as you could.

"Thank you so much. Thank you..." You murmured those words again and again to him as you felt tears start to prick your eyes. He didn't seem to mind though as he wrapped his arms around you and held you close. His amazing, life saving arms.

When you calmed down a bit, you felt embarrassment start to set in as you pulled away.

"I'm sorry about that... I'm not normally so emotional."

"Don't worry about it. Um, please don't take this the wrong way... but I know a nice cafe not far from here that my friend owns. Do you want to go get coffee with me?"

You looked up at him and smiled a bit, nodding. "Yeah, I'd really like that."

And so began your relationship with Makoto, your hero. After a few years passed and the two of your were officially boyfriend-girlfriend, jokes were made about how you two first met. You didn't mind though, since that was how such an amazing man was brought into your life.
