Kakashi Hatake from Naruto series

You were never really the type for dating a ninja. You told yourself that after your father died... Your father was a brave ninja, but died in the war against the Nine Tailed Fox. Even though you knew who his Jinchuuriki was, you didn't hate Naruto for what happened. You understood that without Naruto, the whole city would have been destroyed.

But even then, even after swearing to never date a ninja, you ended up dating a ninja... And not just any ninja. You were dating Kakashi Hatake, one of the most amazingly talented ninjas you've ever seen. But being with him wasn't easy... Especially when he came to your home at odd hours asking you to help stitch a new wound he received.

Whenever your eyes traveled over his scar-covered body, you felt a part of your heart break for him. It wasn't often he was hurt, but when he was, it definitely wasn't a pretty thing. You were scared you would lose him one day... 

That fear built in you, and you decided to do what you could to stop it from becoming your reality. You took numerous medical classes and criminal justice classes so that you could help heal him and know who he was having to fight against on missions. The information you had gained was very useful to the both of you.

But then... the unthinkable happened.

Tears filled your eyes as you looked down at the man you loved. You felt an emotion fill inside your chest as you covered your mouth to hold in the cry wanting to break out of you.

"K-Kakashi..."

"(Y/N)... Will you marry me?"

He proposed to you.

"Y-Yes...! Of course I will!"

You nodded rapidly, your tears flying through the air like beads of silver. You held your hand out to him as he slipped the ring onto your finger, standing up to his full height as he chuckled and leaned down to press his mask-covered lips against your forehead.

And like that, you were going to marry a ninja. You couldn't believe you were breaking your own rule so badly. But at this point, you couldn't care less. You truly loved Kakashi, and you knew it was the same for him.

The wedding was supposed to be small. Just close family and friends... But of course you couldn't have a small wedding with the people that you both knew. Naruto and your best friend, as well as Kakashi's best man Gai, would not allow for the two of you to have a quiet wedding. Gai cried through the ceremony, while (BFF/N) tried making you laugh while saying your vows (and succeed a few times), Naruto kept yelling things out from the audience like 'way to go, Kakashi-sensei!' or 'nice catch!'. He kept doing that until Sakura had to punch him to get him to shut up. You felt a little bad, no matter how embarrassed you were. 

A little less than a year later, you had another surprise come to you in the form of a little pink plus sign. Kakashi was away on a mission at the time, so you had your friends to talk to and comfort you. You were worried he wouldn't want kids...

But your worries were sent away as soon as you told him. You were wrapped in his strong arms and kissed repeatedly. He even took his mask off for the kisses this time. You were showered in love the whole nine months.

And so, the two of you had a child, a little baby boy that seemed just like his father. And really was, already showing signs of becoming a great ninja at an early age. Kakashi, of course, gave him special training, but even though your son was excellent he wanted to leave the training. He wanted to stay home with you and help you with medical things instead of ninja training, and you let him once. But he was restless in the hospital where you worked and called Kakashi to come get him.  

You were out of work early one day and went to go check on your family, smiling as you saw your son chasing Kakashi in the field as Kakashi pretended to get tired and slow down. (S/N) jumped and tackled Kakashi to the ground, the man giving out a cry of shock from the surprise strength of his little boy. 

(S/N) soon saw you walking to them, though, and left his father on the ground as he ran to you and your picnic basket. You caught him mid-run and held him close in your arms as you kept walking to Kakashi on the ground, a smile on his face as well.

You might have lost part of your family to the 'ninja way', but that's why you just had to make another family. No one would ever replace the people you and Kakashi lost, but a little bundle of joy that was apart of you both would definitely help fill the void.
