I'm missing

an angel that I met

he stayed a while then he left

he travels around from place to place

helping people night and day

but he's a broken angel

you see

he's been through so much

he broken his wings

so he's trapped down here with us

but he's surviving

and that's enough

he sees through all

the kinds of masks

searching out the ones

that are hurt so bad

being there to ease the pain

when their mind is going insane

yet he hides all of his pain

never sleeping

cause nightmares come his way

they haunt his dreams

taunting his broken wings

knowing heaven is just out of reach

yet he is beautiful and strong

and will continue to soldier on

he will be up there someday

among the stars

I'll watch and wait
