Y/n's P.O.V:
(a few days after the camping trip)
"Can I get a grande white chocolate iced mocha with extra whipped creme and one of those blueberry scones?" the woman asked. I smile and reply, "Of course, can I get your name?" I grab a sharpie and a grande size cup. "Raina" she says to me. I write down her name and call for my co-worker/friend, Marcel, "Marcel! we need a iced white chocolate mocha!" "You got it, boss" Marcel said playfully as I handed him the cup. "Alright, miss. Your mocha will be done in a few minutes."
2 minutes later
"Raina!" the woman looked over to me, stood up and walked over to the counter with a smile. I grab a napkin and a pastry bag and place a blueberry scone inside and placed it on the counter along with her mocha. "alright, that'll be $7.25" she took out a credit card and I took from her, slid the card in the register and a receipt printed. "Thank you! Come again!" I said as she walked to the exit. Just then, my phone alarm went off, signaling me that my shift was over.
I walk over to the kitchen and took off my apron and hung it up on the hanger with my name on it, literally. I grabbed my purse and went out the back door to the alleyway. I walk to the bike rack and undo the lock and pull the bike from the rack, put on my helmet, and ride off on the sidewalk, weaving through pedestrians and traffic.
The bike ride back to the college was only about 10 minutes tops. But, since I'm in no rush, I decided to take a shortcut through the park. The park was a beautiful place that was peaceful and quiet. A lovely place to take a bike ride. The leaves here were already turning shades of reds, yellows, brown and falling to the ground. But the colors reminded me of the fire from the camping trip. Something about Lexi's story that has just been nagging at me. There's no way that a man can survive all those... 'actions' and just kill all his friends like that. And yet, Lexi said it was true and she pointed out the house to us. Lexi has always been known to exaggerate, but never lie.
I sigh and gently pulled the brakes and stepped off my bike and sat on a nearby bench. I lean forward, resting my elbows on my legs and hold my head in my hands and say to myself, "Why am I so obsessed with that story?" I sit up and grab my phone from out of my purse and open up my contacts. While I was camping, Andrew and Lee gave me their phone numbers. I guess since they think we're all friends it's cool. I don't mind. Honestly, I think its cool that people who I just met wanna stay in touch with me. I tap on Lee's number and place the phone up to my ear. For a solid 15 seconds I heard nothing but the dialing tone. But a certain happy voice caught my attention.
"Hey! Y/n! Feels like forever since we last spoke, What's up?" I giggle and reply, "Hey lee, remember that scary story that Lexi told us when we went camping?" "Yeesh, how can I forget? why?" "Well, for the past couple of days, I've kinda been obsessed with it and I don't know why. I tried to forget about it but its impossible. What should I do?" Lee took a moment to think, "You know, I've heard somewhere that if you visit something that you obsess about it can actually help you either feel a sense of relief or make you lose interest. Like, say you're really into Hamilton and you've never seen the Broadway play but you're obsessed with it. Then when you finally watch it and over time you lose interest or feel relieved that you finally watched it. Do you understand where I'm going here?" "Yeah, so your saying that I should visit the house?" "Well... I mean, if you want to. I don't want you to get in trouble, but yeah. If that's what you need to do." "Alright, Imma go to the manor later tonight then. Thanks Lee" "No problem, Y/n! Just be careful, kay?" I giggle a little bit, "I'll be fine, see ya" "See ya." and with that, I hung up. I know what I have to do now.
I went back to my dorm and searched around the small room for a flashlight, some dark colored clothes and some good tennis shoes. I decided to wait until it was at least 7:30 pm to leave since it took nearly two hours to get there the first time and by the time I get there, it'll be
(The outfit that you wear)
A few hours later
I dressed and pulled my H/l, H/c hair into a ponytail and put on a pair of my black running shoes and headed to my car. I made my way down the long hallway and stopped about halfway to use the elevator. I pressed the call button and waited for a moment. As the elevator doors opened, I stepped in and pushed the button for the first floor. the way down went smoothly and I left the dorm room building and jogged to student parking only to realize I forgot where I parked my car. "Oh goddammit..." I take out my keys and prepare to do something I might regret. "Welp, here it goes..." I hit the 'panic' button on my keys and sure enough, I hear the sound of a car alarm going off. I run towards the sound and find my car. I quickly turn off the alarm and get in. I start the car and look at the dashboard clock. "7:43? okay, a little late but who cares." I start up my GPS, put on my seat belt and drive.
The drive to the pot where we camped felt like an eternity now that I was driving there. As I drove, my phone went off, someone was texting me. I didn't answer since I was driving. But as fate would have it, my car was running out of gas. I sigh and drive to the nearest gas station and fill up my car.
While I was there, I grabbed my phone and looked through my messages. It was a text from Lee.
Lee: hey Y/n are you at the manor yet?
not yet. i had to stop and get gas. why? what's up? :Me
Lee: this might sound crazy but Andrew just woke up from a nap and said he had a dream about you getting attacked by a wolf
what? :Me
Lee: yeah, i don't why he had that dream but it puts me a little on edge for you. please be careful.
Lee, i told you this before. i'll be fine don't worry. :Me
Lee: okay. just wanted to make sure.
I put my phone away and took the gas pump out of my car. I paid for my gas and my GPS recalculated the way to the campsite. Turn Right Onto The Next Exit. My GPS in its demanding tone.
An hour and a half later cuz the author doesn't know how to drive
No ones P.O.V:
The moon was high and shining brightly when Y/n finally made it to where she once was with her friends. As she opened the car door, she grabbed the flashlight and hiked down the long dark pathways to find the Manor. The trails were hard to navigate at night. Y/n had to keep remembering every twist and turn she took so she wouldn't get lost. But, The woods at night are very good at inducing panic. Y/n looked around for any sign of civilization, but to her disappointment, everything looked the same. The trees, the stones on the trail, the endless sounds of the forest. It felt as if she was going in circles. "M-Maybe this wasn't a good idea after all..."
Y/n was beginning to feel uneasy about her situation. her heart rate began to increase as she tried to find her way out of the forest. It felt as if the trees were closing in on her, the forest itself was watching her every movement. What started as a walk, turned into a jog, then quickly turned into a run. Y/n just wanted to get out of there. It was being trapped in a black room, not knowing where you are and not knowing how to escape.
As she glanced behind her for a moment to see if anything was there befo-- Thud. Y/n tripped and fell on something flat and rocky. Y/n looked and her heart fluttered in relief "A road! Finally!" Y/n stood back up and dusted themselves off before proceeding. Not long after, she saw a ginormous house that looked almost brand new. Y/n grinned happily and ran up to the manor. the gateway was closed and chained together but that wasn't gonna stop Y/n. Y/n climbed over the stone wall and just sat there for a moment. looking at the beauty of the estate. "How could anyone afford to live here?" she said quietly to herself.
As she hopped off the wall and landing on her feet, she silently made her way to the front door. but before she even made it to the first step, she heard a low menacing growl from behind her. she looked behind her and saw a huge grey wolf with... horns and wings? The beast sprinted towards her and Y/n darted off into the garden. The wolf howled in such a way that it sounded ghostly. (if you've ever watched Black Butler. The Howl Sounds like Pluto's howl) The wolf then began to chase your name. Y/n ran for dear life, trying to find a away to escape. But before she could even look for an exit, she was tackled to the ground with the beast pushing her down. Y/n was terrified as she heard the wolf's growl and felt its hot breath on the back of her neck. Tears filled her eyes as she thought she was going to die.
But something caught her attention. A pair of shiny black shoes stood in front of her. as she looked up. There he was. The Demon of Markiplier Manor.
