Carol

I have to admit, I'm kind of relieved that I told Jack the truth about the House, and about our older siblings that escaped and may be in the Outside World. 

But I still have something that bothers me the most, is the escape route that Phil had laid out for us. 

It's not like I trust him, but I am still worried about the tight security of the Wall, and it might be possible that Mama Ollie might sent reinforcements. 

"Carol, what's the matter?" I turn to see Isle, my younger sibling, who is ten years old and smart as me and Jack. 

In fact in the Gracefield House, Isle, Jack , and I were the top 3 scores of the Daily Tests. 

I smiled, trying to act casually, as much for Mama Ollie to see the façade , " I'm fine, Isle, it's totally nothing to be concern about. 

I'm not sad that I might leave the House pretty soon, that's all." 

The fear was unbearable, trying to lie to Isle, but I want her to be safe, and not to be concern about being able to survive the Outside World of the Wall. 

Jack and I walked to the forest so we can discuss the situation of escaping . 

"So, we have to figure out a way to escape the House somehow. Do you have any plan for us to escape, Carol?" Jack asks me.  

"Well, Phil told me in a letter to escape underground, but... " I replied , but being uncertain. 

"But what? Isn't it a bad idea, since it's Phil's idea?" He asks me, curiously. 

"It's not like I love the idea, it's just that the Demons are being more serious about the merchandise . 

We have to make sure that we can outwit all of the security behind the Wall. Emma and others make it so easy but they wouldn't fall for the same trick twice." I point out. 

Jack scratches his chin, "You make a good point. This escape wouldn't be an easy way out, that's much we can count on." 

I thought in my mind, "What would Emma would do in a situation like this?"  

Emma

I walked with Ray to find the old home that we used to grow up in. It felt kind of weird to be completely honest. 

I never thought that we will be going back to that House again after all these years. But still, I made a promise. 

A big promise that I would come back to the Gracefield House , to the siblings that we left behind, and I intend to keep that promise. 

It makes me wonder , about the siblings of what they looked like now, because this is going to be our first time we'll reunite in two years since we escaped to the Outside World. 

As I lost in thought, Ray taps me on my shoulder , being concern about my well-being. 

"Emma, are you feeling ok? You seemed to be lost in thought for a while now." He asks me in a serious tone. 

I sigh as I said, "Sorry, Ray. It's just ... I was thinking about Phil and the other Cattle Children. It's going to be hard mostly because that we haven't seen them for two years, and what will happen once we arrive there?

Would they be relieve to see us, or hate us due to the fact that we left them behind?" 

Ray seems to be silent for a moment but then he begins to form a small smile on his face, and he said, reassuring me, "Emma. Look at me." 

I stare at his eyes as he continued, "Phil and the others waited for us, there is no doubt in my mind that they will forgive us . 

Emma, you did what was right the moment that we escaped through the zipline towards the Outside World. 

You've grown up, more mature as I never thought possible . Even so, you accomplished so much in the Outside World, and we were able to reunite with Norman because of all the strength, courage, bravery that was inside of you. 

I'm really am proud of what you become, Emma. And besides, we have each other's back , no matter what is at state. " 

I smiled at him, "Thanks , Ray. I really needed that." 

As we walked further into the forest, Ray pointed to the familiar Wall that we known from childhood. 

"This is it." I said. 

Carol

My decision was to not to leave the siblings . All of them is coming with us. But first I need to get rid of my left ear. 

"Jack, I need a favor. Get the scissors on the left drawer. " Jack realizes of what I intend to do, as he asks me, "Carol, this is going to be dangerous. I mean, I know that the tracking devices are in our left ears, but wouldn't Mama Ollie will know about it?"

"We been training for the past twelve weeks, Jack. Our siblings are ready , just playing tag in formation , and teaching them about to strategize their weak spots, and plus, I am not letting anyone die, not like Conny and the rest of our siblings . " 

As I was about to cut off my left ear, Isle saw us as she gasp of what I was about to do. 

"C-Carol! What you doing?!? " She said. Jack and I sweat in total defeat as Jack said, "Carol, we're so busted." 

Isle walks towards me as she put her foot down, "I want to know what you been hiding, from both of you! 

You both been acting strange and teaching our siblings something like it's life or death! Am I right?" 

Jack said, "Carol, there is no point of dodging the Secret of the House from Isle. She's not going to let this go, you know that." 

 So, we manage to tell her the truth , as her eyes filled with absolute fear. 

"Carol, I feel bad about you. You knew all about the Demons from the age of five, and you couldn't bear to mention it to us until now?" 

"I know it's a lot to take in, but I'm really telling you the harsh truth about the House, about our siblings that fled. 

Even though , I never get to meet Emma or Ray, we have to escape this farm together.  Emma and our other siblings are out there, in the Outside World somewhere, we can find Phil together. 

But in order to escape, I need to fool Mama Ollie with a decoy. Jack, you get our siblings and pack everything we need to survive. 

I'll let you know I already loose my tracking device and head to the underground tunnel. " 

Isle said, "What about me? What I need to do?" 

"Grab the tablecloths from the cabinet closet in the hallway. Also grab some stones and hangers for all of us. " 

 "So, we're escaping tonight then?" Jack asks. 

"Yeah. It has to be tonight... because Jack... you're the next shipment ."
