Chapter 1: Carol's letter

It has been a few months since Phil had told Carol the truth, it was truly unreal to her, although, that she knew that it wasn't that an easy task to keep a massive secret, hanging on her shoulders.

"I still couldn't believe this. The thing was that we were actually meat for demons. I am so shocked about it.

Honestly, I can't believe that Emma and our siblings just made this escape, leaving me and Phil behind.

He's been suffering for all these years, waiting for them to rescue us. I mean, it's not like it's a bad motive, but still..." Carol thought in her mind, as that as she notices her brother's bedding.

It was all folded up, like he was being adopted!

She was shocked, as she runs, bypass her friend, Jack who spots her being so stunned. "Carol, what's the matter?"

She didn't reply back to his response mostly because that she was worried about Phil, if he was going to be killed by the demons.

That was she bumped into her enemy, Mama Ollie. She notices her behavior, as she said, "My. My. What's the big commotion, Carol?"

"Where is Phil?" She demanded, to know the truth for herself. "Awe, didn't you hear? He has been accepted into a family. He also told me to hand this to you in particular. He just said, "Take this to Carol . "

She handed her the letter, as she slams the door behind her, as she notices the black inked envelope addressed to her.

She opens it, as it read, "Carol, I'm so sorry that I left you. In truth, I had a secret plan to get you and the other children out of here.

It's a risk, but you have to make the fire escape route that Emma and the others had done in the past.

You have to fight on my behalf. It wouldn't be an easy route to do, but out of all this, if it possible, you might catch up to Emma and the others. She might help you point to the right direction you need.

I'll try my best in my end to locate you and our siblings. I'm intrusting you with this insane mission, Carol. I need you to succeed. Yours truly, Phil."

When she finished reading, she said, "Don't worry Phil, you can count on me. I'm not going to let this opportunity slip by.

Emma, you must be alive somewhere."

Meanwhile, at Paradise Hideout, "I'm worried about Phil, we have to back." Emma said, which startled Norman and Ray.

"Emma, are you completely insane? You barely make it out alive when you got attacked in Goldly Pond, remember?" Ray reprimanded her.

Norman nodded, "Yeah, according to Ray, you were pretty reckless. I mean, I don't doubt your intentions, Emma, but you constantly have this habit to make people worry."

But Emma pouts, "Norman, I know that, but think about Phil and the others for a sec. They been waiting for us this whole time.

Besides, we did made a promise we'll be back for them, didn't we? We have to do this for their sake.

I don't want to wait any more than they would."

Ray sigh, as that they hear laughter out of Norman. "Once Emma had her mind made up, there's no point of stopping her isn't there. All right, Ray, you might want to reconsider it."

"Have you completely lost it?!? "

Norman titled his head, "That didn't stop you from trying to put fire on yourself, right?"

Ray was in total embarrassment that Norman would recall that memory from his twelve year old self, as he blushed in embarrassment .

"Y-yeah, so what's your problem with that...." He stutters. As the two teens were heading back into the forest, Don said, "Emma, Ray, I'm going too.

Phil is the one closest to me, and I want to make sure I want to help him out soon as possible."

"All right, let's go. We have a lot to make up for." Ray said, as he thought to himself, "I hope you're all right, Phil."
