CHAPTER 31

U-umm.. I... I can't tell you" Sehun stuttered. "B-but why?" Luhan asked sadly. "I thought trusts comes first in a relationship" he frowned. "I'm.. I'm sorry baby I... I can't tell you" Sehun looked away from his lover's eyes.

"Sehun..." Luhan whispered, frowning. "*sigh* Do I really have to?" Sehun asked, rubbing his temples. "Yes. Now may I please know?" Luhan said, pouting. Sehun looked at him for a while and got up. He set the blankets and pillows to the door area so the two of them would lean against it.

"Come here babe" Sehun said, patting the empty area next to him. Luhan crawled and cuddled into Sehun's chest as he played with his hair. "Alright you promise you're not gonna... Freak out... Or anything right?" Sehun asked looking down. Luhan looked up, placed a quick kiss on Sehun's lips and smiled. "I promise I won't" he said. "Alright".

"My family and I used to live in China.. And we moved when I was only 2 years old. My father, Jongsuk, had to move there because there was a job promotion for him. My mother, Hyori,  insisted that she didn't want to live alone, so my whole family moved to Guangzhou."

"My father was a known CEO of an extremely well and successful company, so he gained a lot of money and we were rich. Life was going well and happy until,.... " Sehun cut off as he trembled. "Sehunie? What's wrong?" Luhan looked up, wondering why his lover was trembling.

"I can't Luhan.. I just can't.. " Sehun looked down. "Sehunie I'm really sorry... I didn't want to put you into this situation.." Luhan apologized, pouting. Sehun looked at Luhan as he jumped.

Sehun was crying. "A-ah S-s-Sehunieee I'm sorry I'm really sorry!! " Luhan covered his mouth. Without wasting a second, Luhan embraced his boyfriend tightly stroking his hair as he cried into his chest.

"Shh shh it's gonna be alright... " Luhan whispered, as he rubbed comforting circles onto Sehun's back. Sehun sobbed loudly, gripping Luhan's shirt tightly. "Sehunie I'm really sorry.. " he whispered as Sehun pulled away and hugged Luhan back. "It's.. It's fine.. " he stuttered out, his voice hoarse.

"Anyways... " Sehun said wiping his tears. "No no don't continue" Luhan said worriedly, helping him to wipe his tears. "No I can go on it's fine" Sehun smiled, pecking Luhan's cheek. "Alright..." They both sat down again in the same position as Sehun continued.

"There was a riot that started, when I was seven years old... of killing all the Koreans present in the city. We didn't have good relations with Chinese people at that moment so... They wanted to kill all the Koreans present. Plus it was an order from one of the heads of.. Idk something.. " Sehun said causing Luhan to gasp. "There was very less time and we had to move back to South Korea as fast as we could."

"But it was too late.. The soldiers have entered our neighborhood, searching for Koreans. My father, was shaking as he couldn't decide what to do. He had to act fast. So... He... " Sehun stopped, for a while, allowing his tears to fall as Luhan wiped it.

"He trusted only me, to keep all the properties, and goods that we had. We used to keep all our goods, and money in the basement. He looked at me for the last time and took out whatever money he had in his pocket, my mother and my sister, Yeri, doing the same. They handed everything to me and asked me to hide."

"I could not go to the basement because they'll find me there, so, I hid in a small box, with a small hole in it. I asked my father to tape me in the box as my mother and sister helped. When I was fully taped in, I heard the door breaking open and screams of m-my mother. I closed my mouth to keep silent as I looked through the small hole in the box.... Everything was j-just.... Horrible... "

"My mother was sla-slaughtered,.. My sis-ter was sh-sh-shot and my father......... One of the s-soldiers took his gun and h-hit his jaw so it was broken, a-and hanging.... Off t-to the side of h-h-his face... " Sehun stuttered, as Luhan gasped, tears stinging his eyes.

"When they left, thankfully, I stayed in the box for the whole day, sobbing. I didn't know what to do at that moment... Do I get out? Do I stay? I just had no idea. So I stayed in there for many hours. After two days almsot, I was awaken by a huge crash. I quickly tore the hole on the box and reached out my hand to untape the box from the top"

"When I was out, I looked out the window of my house and saw that there were builders demolishing all the houses present in the neighborhood." Luhan had his jaw hanging open and his eyes wide in fear.

"I had to act fast. I ran upstairs and took my bag, and running to the basement. I took all the money and properties that we had, and stuffed it into three bags. I ran back into my room and packed my clothes,..... Not forgetting at least one shirt of my parents and sister."

"I heard the crashes getting closer and I've never ran so fast in my life. I grabbed whatever food and drinks we had and stuffed everything into a suitcase, plus more money because there was hella lot of them. I carried my suitcase downstairs and hung my bag on one arm. I double checked if I had taken everything, all the money, food water,.. And I was set to run away."

"I put on a mask over my mouth and a cap so the people wouldn't catch me. I looked around the house for the best route to escape." "Sehunie how were you sure where you would go?" Luhan asked. "I couldn't do anything babe.. I just had to run at that moment. I didn't wanna die.. Plus I was just seven so I couldn't think much at that time" he said as Luhan mouthed an 'o'.

"Okay so, I ran from the backdoor and looked around so there were no workers to spot me. I crouched and ran as fast as I could, pulling the heavy suitcase with me.  I looked back at my house which got demolished before my eyes. I broke down into tears at the thought of my parents and sister's dead body which were not buried in peace." At this point Luhan was already crying as Sehun stroked his back.

"I just had to run. After running for quite a time, I arrived at this type of rainforest. I wasn't sure what it was but it had tons of trees. I sat on a rock and calmed down as there was no one present in this huge green area. After some time I walked around and spotted a small cave. So that was my home for many days. I stayed in there, eating, drinking, and just... Crying.." Sehun sighed.

"After almost 10 days, I moved on, walking slowly and silently, still afraid that someone might kill me. I walked and walked not knowing where I was actually going."

"Until I reached the sea. The best way to escape. I clearly remembered the map and the sea is connected to South Korea from Guangzhou. But I didn't have anything to go with. I started panicking as I was scared if anyone finds me."

"Luckily for me, I found an old boat near the water. I jumped in happiness and without wasting time, I pushed it into the water and quickly sailed my way out using the slightly broken oars."

"I stopped sailing as the waves of the water carried my boat to God knows where was I even going, but at least I escaped Guangzhou. The journey was tough as it got colder at night. I used my blanket but it was still really cold."

"I don't know when but, I was awoken my a loud honk of a ship. I saw a huge ship coming towards me and I screamed, starting to row my boat away. I was so sacred because I still remember the size of that thing. Lucky for me, the ship passed me and I realised it was a cruise. There were people on it."

"I took the chance to scream for help as loud as I can and I luckily gained attention of the fewer people who were taking selfies and stuff. The best part was.. They were Koreans" Sehun said as Luhan smiled in relief.

"I was rescued with all my things and my family's property. I told the captain and some people my story and they rented a room on the cruise and allowed me to eat all their buffet for free. I was blessed and relieved. That's when I met Suho."

"Suho was also one of the people who were listening to my story and we became friends soon. Suho took really good care of me, even though we were so young but he used to make sure if I got enough blankets in the room, enough food, and enough comfort. He was the only one who comforted me when I was crying. He was the only one who told me 'everything is going to be fine'. He was the only one I trusted at that time. It's like.. God had sent down an angel from heaven for me. "
   ‎

"After three days, we finally reached South Korea. I couldn't be any happier as the ship approached my beloved country."

"Back in Korea, my relatives took care of me until I was older enough to take care of myself and my family's properties."

"I bought myself a small, simple house and stayed there. I used to dance 24/7 as it was my favourite thing to do, so I was living a simple and easy life."

"One day I met Hoseok. He literally begged me to be a teacher in his dance school, and I liked dancing so.. Why not? So I signed up to be a dance teacher in that school and it has been 6 years. After 6 years I met you whiichh brings us here today." Sehun finished with a sigh.
