Chapter 2: Punishment and Ignorance...

“You're just being a dramatic little bitch.”

Sun's eyes widened. “Did you just call me a bitch?” The spoon from his hand fell on the plate, his expression turning serious.

All of Moon's friends fell silent, looking between Sun and Moon with interest. Moon's smile grew slightly wider, realizing he's pushed Sun's buttons. “Yeah, I did. And you know what? I meant it. You're acting like a spoiled, bratty bitch right now.”

Sun tilted his head slightly, as if accepting the challenge Moon had just pushed him through. “You're sleeping outside tonight,” he murmured.

His friends burst out laughing again, knowing Sun's threats are his go-to when he's mad. Moon crossed his arms, daring Sun to follow through. “Fine, fine. Sleep outside, see if I care!”

Sun nodded and huffed. “Okay, I won't talk to you tomorrow.”

Moon's eyes widened as he Suddenly panicked, realizing he might have gone too far. The teasing smile dropped from his face as he caught Sun's genuinely hurt expression. “Wait… baby…” he reached out towards Sun, his voice softer now. “Come on, you know I'm joking.”

Sun pulled away and crossed his arms. “Keep these jokes for someone else,” he mumbled. He shook his head and spoke up again, “And don't call me baby. We aren't dating yet.”

His friends giggled again but Moon's expression soured, annoyed as he bit the inside of his cheek. “Here we go…” he muttered, running a hand through his hair. “You're so annoying sometimes…” he huffed, his shoulder slumping slightly. “You're really not going to talk to you tomorrow?”

Sun nodded sarcastically. “Yes.” He chuckled.  “Besides, you haven't even asked me out yet.”

His friends snickered and whispered to each other, enjoying the drama unfolding before them. Moon's face heated up with embarrassment and frustration. “Damn it, Sun… Fine. Will you be my boyfriend if I ask you now?” He asked, his pride struggling to keep up with his desire to fix the situation.

Sun smiled mischievously and shook his head, acting innocent. “No, you made me mad.”

His jaw dropped in genuine shock. “What? But I… oh for fuck’s sake…” He pinched the bridge of his in frustration. “You're really going to sulk over this?” he rolled his eyes.

“Yes.”

His friends laughed even harder at the expense, making Moon's face turn even a deeper shade of red. “Fuck… fine! I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry for calling you a bitch and an annoying person,” He paused as if he needed a break. “There. I said it.”

Sun nodded and smiled again, his sassiness getting more palpable. “I don't accept your apologies.”

Moon threw his hands up in exasperation, looking helplessly at his amused friends. “Can you believe this guy? I poured my heart out and he still won't forgive me!” He feigned a theatrical, wiping an imaginary tear from his cheek.

Sun laughed out. “You're just as dramatic as me.”

“Shut up!” He muttered, crossing his arms and glaring at Sun. “At least I'm not moping like a sad puppy who got his toy taken away!” He huffed, his friends chuckling at his comparison, trying to hold back their laughter in such a serious situation.

“Mmhm.” Sun nodded expressionlessly.

Realizing Sun's playful response, his face splitted into a mischievous grin. "You're enjoying this way too much, aren't you?" He suddenly leaned in close, his voice dropping to a whisper. "What if I tell you I actually meant it when I said you were a bitch?”

Sun let out another chuckle and nodded. “Okay.”

Moon's friends laughed out loud, realizing Sun fell right into Moon's trap. Moon grinned mischievously, "And what if I also said you were the most annoying person I've ever met?" He continued, enjoying Sun's unchanging expression.

Sun nodded again. “Great.”

Moon's grin faded, replaced by an exasperated expression. "You're not even mad?!" His friends laughed harder, realizing Sun's unbothered demeanor is driving Moon up the wall. "You're impossible!”

Sun book his head mischievously and smiled. “No, I'm just planning your next punishment,” he giggled.

Moon's eyes widened briefly before narrowing, "Punishment? You can't be serious..." He trailed off, suddenly realizing Sun's mischievous laugh from earlier. "Wait a minute…”

Sun pouted and leaned forward. “I've decided I won't talk to you for tomorrow and the day after.”

Moon's expression turned to horror. "You can't do that! You can't just ignore me for two whole days!" He protested, but his friends laughed, knowing Sun's silence punishment is infamous.

Sun's pout deepened as he fluttered his eyelashes innocently. “Oh, but I can. You can keep calling me a bitch.”

"I take it back! I take it all back!" Moon quickly back-pedaled, realizing the gravity of his situation. His friends were practically wheezing with laughter now, enjoying the rare sight of Moon being outsmarted. "You're not a bitch, Sun! You're an angel!"

Sun shook his head slowly in denial. “But that's not what you said two minutes ago, was it now?”

His friends laughed even harder, Moon glaring at them for not taking his side. "You're killing him!" One of them choked out between laughs. Moon huffed, crossing his arms. "Fine. You're the worst, Sun. Literally the worst."

Sun rolled his eyes. “Here you go again…” he paused. “Should I expand it to three days or a week maybe?”

Moon's face contorted in a mix of frustration and desperation. "NO! Anything but that!" He turned to his friends, pleading for their help. "Guys, talk some sense into him! Tell him he can't just ignore me for a whole week!”

Sun glared at all of Moon's friends. but Moon's friends knew that Sun could and would ignore Moon for those days. He had done it before and he's a man of his words.

His friends, trying to be sympathetic, shook their heads. "Sorry, Moon. You should've thought of that before calling him a bitch and an annoying person," Cha said out loud, making the rest of them chuckle, enjoying the sight of their usually confident friend being put in his place. "You're on your own, buddy,” the smaller friend next to Moon's other side of the table patted his shoulder, more teasingly than comfortingly.

Sun giggled, watching them. "They're my friends now," He mumbled.

Sun finished eating then started saying in a singing tone, watching the wall clock. "The clock is about to turn 12, my mouth is about to go shut, Phi Moon is about to go wild, because I won't talk to him, no matter how much he tries."

Moon huffed dramatically, trying to maintain his cool demeanor. "You're loving this, aren't you?" He muttered under his breath, causing his friends to burst into more laughter. The clock striked midnight. "NOOOO!" He jumped up dramatically.

Sun turned towards Moon and acted as if zipping his mouth. He turned to get up and showed a middle finger to Moon before walking to his room and locking the door immediately.

Moon stared at the locked door, seething with frustration. He pounded on the door, but it only echoed back at him. He spun around, looking at his friends for help, but they're all laughing too hard to even notice him. "YOU GUYS! HELP ME!" His friends, still laughing, pointed at the door and mimicked the zipping motion Sun made earlier. Cha managed to speak between laughs. "He said seven days, Moon. You're on your own until then." The others joined in, laughing and making the zipping motion. "ZIP IT!"

Moon's face turned red with anger and embarrassment. He kicked the door a few times before slumping against it, sliding down to the floor. He pouted, pulling out his phone and furiously typing. "Fine! I'll just ignore him too!”

Sat against the door, he sulked for a few minutes before getting bored and deciding to sleep in Cha’s room, muttering to himself. "Who needs him anyway? I have plenty of other friends..." He proceeded to text Cha but after he didn't respond, he reached out to all of his friends, but none of them responded because it's past midnight. "TRAITORS!"

He decided to just sleep in the extra room alone. Falling backwards onto his bed dramatically, he stared at the ceiling, phone still in hand. "Why God, why must you punish me with this man's stubbornness?!" He sighed deeply, realizing he's got six more days of this torture.

Time passed. Moon tried every possible way to reach out to Sun but that's how Sun always was. Sulky. When he was mad, he'd make sure no one could get him to talk to the person he's mad at. He'd be lying if he said he didn't miss Moon's presence but his determination meant more to him.

On the third day, Moon's frustration boiled over. He decided to take drastic measures. He texted all of Sun's best friends, asking for help to break Sun's silence. His friends replied almost instantly, "You're on your own, buddy. Sun's determined." And all the other friends were exactly like that. What would he have expected? They're Sun's friends for a reason.

He facepalmed himself dramatically "THERE MUST BE A WAY!" He paced around his room, brainstorming ideas. Then, he suddenly stopped in his tracks "Wait... maybe I can..." He pulled out his phone and dialed a number with a mischievous grin "Hello?"

Sun's mom answered the phone, and Moon put on his most charming voice. "Auntie, it's Moon! I was just wondering if Sun was home? I have something important to talk to him about." He held his breath, hoping she'll take the bait.

"Of course, dear." Sun's mom said from the other side.

Auntie held up the phone and walked to Sun's room, knocking gently. "Sun, darling, Moon is on the phone and insists on talking to you. He says it's very important." Sun, still ignoring everyone, didn't respond. "Sun, baby, please pick up the phone."

“I'm not talking to him, mom.” Sun got up and locked the door to his room.

Moon's grin turned into a pout as his plan failed. He decided to use his last resort. "Auntie... tell him... tell him I said 'I'm sorry'." He whispered the last part, hoping it'll be enough to make Sun crack.

He hung up the phone and slid down the wall, defeated. "Should've just told him I miss him more than oxygen." He sighed and muttered to himself "Damn pride..." Suddenly, his phone vibrated with a new message. He looks at it, heart racing "One word..."

As soon as he opened the message, Sun's name popped up on the screen and his eyes light up with hope. Sun just sent a simple question mark. "SUN." He sent a reply back, fingers trembling with excitement. "I'M SORRY." He waited with bated breath for a response, his heart pounding in his chest. "Please... please respond..."

Hours passed, and Moon's hopes started to dwindle. He tried calling Sun, but it went straight to voicemail. "Damn it, Sun! Why are you doing this to me?!" He threw his phone across the room in frustration, watching it bounce off the wall and land on the floor.

When the time hit 00:00 in a few minutes, another message popped up on Moon's phone. With a frustrated trembling hand, he picked up the phone and his eyes widened the second he saw Sun's name again. “I hope you've learnt your lesson,” the message said.

Moon quickly opened the message, typing back. “I've learnt my lesson, Sun. Please…” he typed, paused for a second and then added. “I miss you.”

As Sun read the message, a small smile took over his face. For once, he wished Moon could see him through it. “I miss you too,” he typed back.

Moon's eyes widened and then his smile, a hint of excitement took over him. “Please Sun, forgive me na.”

“I'm not mad at you anymore. You can come see me now if you want. You're not staying the night though. We'll just meet and then, you have to go.”

“But Sun…” Moon tried to type but then he understood that it was still better than not seeing Sun at all. “Fine. I'll be at your door in 10 minutes.”

“See you.”

In about 10 minutes, Moon got there with his bike, staring his watch anxiously. “10 minutes… 10 minutes…” then as soon as the 10 minutes passed, he heard a chick of the door. The second he saw Sun's tall figure in front of him, he tiptoed to hug Sun immediately. “I missed you so damn much!” He murmured against Sun's neck.

“It's been only three days, Phi Moon,” Sun murmured back, trying to act as if he hadn't missed Moon at all. His hands gripped Moon's back of the shirt.

“Feels like an eternity.” Moon sniffed Sun's neck a bit.

“Let go, Phi Moon…” Sun whined, slowly detaching Moon's body from his own.

“I'm sorry na. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me, my dear.” Moon murmured.

Sun smiled widely. “Okay.” He shrugged.

Moon's eyebrow raised as he formed a slight pout stepping back. “Okay?” He repeated, frustrated. “I suffered these long three days apart from you and that's all you have to say? Okay?”

Sun giggled and shook his head. “I meant… okay, I'll be your boyfriend.”

Moon's eyes widened as a wide smile of excitement and happiness took over his face. He jumped to hug Sun again. “Really? Tell me you mean it!” He mumbled. “Tell me I'm not dreaming.”

Sum pushed Moon a bit back again, taken aback by the sudden clinginess. But the happiness in Moon's face was unexplainable, a smile, a type of happiness engraved for only Sun to see. For moments, they just stared at each other with mesmerising smiles, as if nothing in the world existed anymore. Until Moon spoke up, his usual playfulness exchanged by a deep sense of joy. “Sun, can I kiss you?”

Sun's eyes locked into the sincere light between Moon's eyes. And he nodded. “You can do anything you want, Phi Moon…” he whispered.

Moon came closer, his hand still around Sun's neck from their earlier embrace as he gripped the back of Sun's head gently and tilted on, pressing his lips against Sun's in a soft, tender kiss.
