female wear
THE PICTURE ABOVE IS THE IDIEL DRESS THAT ALL GIRLS IN OUR CULTURE ARE RECOMMENDED TO DRESS UP.
Dressing code for females:
1) it should cover the whole body except the hands and the face.
2) it should not be transparent in a manner that it reveals her body.
3) it should not resemble that of the males clothing.
4) it should not be tight fitting to display her figure.
5) it should not be too colourful such that it will attract men.
6) it should not be too long or too short.
7) avoid wearing perfumes when going out of the house.
The following pictures will show more of what I was explaining
Note:
For a married woman, who lives with her husband only, no one else sees her in whatever clothe she wears, then she's allowed to dress up in whatever she wants as long as it doesn't offend her husband. She can dress up in a trouser that is long, or short, or tight and fitting, or just loose and baggy, it could be above her knees or even at her thighs. As long as it's only her and her husband, then whatever she wears is allowed between them. And the same is allowed for the men except that he doesn't dress in a female clothe.
As for the women, there are a lot of things to be put into consideration.
Things we consider for the females:
• if she's alone with her husband the. She's allowed to wear anything as I had said earlier, she can even decide to wear nothing, lol😂😂 as long as she doesn't offend her husband then it's allowed.
• if she's at home and the people present in the house are her closest family, and only from the same gender as her, then she's allowed to wear clothes that aren't too short. She can wear a dress or even leggings that are below her knees. She can wear a blouse that is sleeveless or even short sleeved. She is also allowed to wear tight fitting clothes that show her curves as long as those who see are females and most closest family to her. If a man should see her then she's not allowed to wear it. As for colours, then she can wear any colour she wants, shouting or full, any that she wants. But if there are men there, she's supposed to wear colours that aren't shouting making men attracted to the colours and them the dress and finally herself. But transparent clothes aren't allowed to be wore even if you are only with other females or even with your mom. They are only allowed to wore when you are with your husband only.
• if a woman is going out of the house, then she's supposed to wear a covering clothe that will cover what she's wearing inside. In Arabic we call it, "Àbaya" and in our local language here in Kenya, we call it "Buibui". (I'll talk about this Buibui later in this chapter). So whatever she wears inside shouldn't be seen with men. Then wherever she's going, if there will be men, then the rules stated earlier will be adhered to and if there are only women there then she can wear whatever she wants as long as it's not too revealing and transparent.
• the females should always have their hair covered if you are in front of people who are not your parents, siblings and husband. Her head should always be covered so that other men can't see your hair and get attracted. This includes your in laws also. You aren't allowed to show your hair or head to your father–in–law or brother– in– law's. As for the mother-in-law, she's a woman like you so there's no problem if she sees your hair or even the upper part of your body including neck, Head and ears. But the males aren't allowed to see so we wear a scarf to cover up. In our local language we call it, "mtandio" and there is a piece that is used to cover your face showing only your eyes. In our local language we call it, "ninja" in Arabic we call it, "niqab" in Hindi they call it, "burqa". It is wore to prevent males from seeing your face and ending up attracting them. Only your parents, siblings, husband, close family like your aunts, uncle's, grandparents, cousins are allowed to see your face.
As for the Àbaya or Buibui:
√ it shouldn't be transparent
√ it should be black in color
√ it should cover whatever you are wearing inside.
√ it shouldn't show or emphasis on your figure. This means the àbaya shouldn't be wore with a belt that is tied and shows your figure.
The àbaya above is allowed to wear since it's baggy and black and also doesn't show off her figure.
The àbaya above is not acceptable since it's coloured.
The àbaya above is not acceptable since it's coloured and also has a belt which shows the figure of a woman.
The àbaya above is also not acceptable since it shows the figure of a woman. Yes it's black but has a belt.
This not acceptable at all. It's coloured and also shows the figure of a woman.
