I leant against the door frame aggressively chewing my pencil grimacing at myself for being so disastrously unattractive! The hall was eerily empty and as I waited impatiently for the bell to ring I stared pointlessly at the ceiling imagining what I would do if Jack ever talked to me. Jack, the beautiful godlike boy that is just too hot to handle. The boy in year eleven that probably doesn't even know my name. The boy that is my one and only crush!

Brrrrrrrrring!

I jumped backwards in surprise as the deafening bell rang out to announce lunch time. I put my pencil that I had completely destroyed back into my pocket and picked up my rucksack from next to my feet. As I picked it up the zip caught on my tights and ripped a humongous ladder all the way up my leg. Er my gawd! Now my luminous white legs are showing. And right on cue Will Wallace, my older cousin, strode through the door followed by his 'disciples' to see me bent over moaning to myself about having such pale legs.

"Alright there Blondie?" Will shouted at me laughing. I snapped my head up and scowled at him grabbing my bag and storming over.

"It's not funny," I hissed hitting his arm playfully with my bag.

"Noooooooo...course it's not," he said trying to stifle his laughter behind a cough.

"Urgh." I rolled my eyes disgusted.

"Jeez, don't flatter me...oh right you're saving that for Jack," he winked and directed his head in the direction of Jack who was slumped casually against the wall chewing a piece of gum looking like the angel he was. I scanned the hall and suddenly realised that in the short time we'd been standing there the whole room had filled up with students. I walked around in a circle gaping stupidly at the children as though I'd never seen them before. I spun back round to get my bag from Will to see that while I'd been spinning in circles the gorgeous Jack had made his way over here and was talking to Will. They were both looking at me blankly expecting me to say something but I just stood paralyzed with my mouth hanging open probably looking like a fish. Will raised his eyebrows and suddenly burst into fits of laughter. Taken aback by his spontaneous outbreak I stumbled backwards and shut my mouth before I started drooling. Jack was staring at Will and I took the time to grab my bag and sprint out of the hall as fast as I could and into the corridor.
