Likewise, Brittany's mother forbade the relationship because Randy and his family were poor, so Brittany had to keep seeing Randy without its mom's knowledge.
- It didn't take long for Randy to realize that Brittany was very insecure and didn't eat a lot. He tried to help her as best he could, even splitting his school lunches with her sometimes, but it was never really enough.
- Brittany turned 15 while they were dating. To celebrate, Randy took her out and gave her a bunch of candy, but Brittany hardly ate any of it.
- One time, when Brittany had snuck Randy into her mother's house, she asked him to come into its bathroom to talk to her. When Randy entered, he found Brittany completely bare-chested, and he freaked out. - They dated for a month, and although their relationship was supposed to be fake so Keith could make Randy jealous, Liu actually developed feelings. It was unintentional, but Keith was being selfish and only focusing on his own goal: getting Randy to dump Brittany.
- Their relationship mostly involved venting to each other and having sex. The first time they did the deed was four days before they "officially" announced their relationship: they were at Lyra's house and they had done the nasty while high.
- Liu bought Keith a few things from Hot Topic, and while Keith didn't want to accept them, Liu insisted that he just wanted to do something nice for him.
- Two weeks after they started dating, Liu was an accidental witness to Keith getting assaulted by his mother. They were hanging out at Keith's place, and Keith saw his mom pull into the driveway and told Liu to hide in the closet. Odessa entered Keith's room, and Liu was forced to watch in horror as Keith was taken advantage of (he had to cover his mouth to keep himself from throwing up). When Odessa left, Liu left the closet and tried to comfort a sobbing Keith as best he could. They had a long talk afterwards, and Keith made Liu promise not to tell anyone. Eventually, Liu caved and told Lyra.
- The night Randy went to the club, Liu, Keith, and Troy were there, too. Like Randy, Liu and Keith both got roaring drunk, and Liu actually tried to confess his feelings. But as he was pouring his heart out, Randy shoved Liu out of the way, grabbed Keith, and the two started making out against the wall. None of them remember what happened that night, and Troy chose to carry the secret to his grave - literally.
- Even after their realtionship, Keith still wanted to be friends, as Liu had been there for Keith and he didn't want to lose him. Liu agreed, but their friendship wasn't very tight and it completely fell apart after Jeff's accident.
