She Was A Girl
A newly wed couple living in village of Kanpur,
Came towards their room after rituals are performed.
She was nervous, so was he,
She had her veil over her face,
He came to her and lifted her veil,
She smiled and blushed, he smiled and kissed.
The next morning she brought his morning tea,
He felt the fragrance of her beauty and took her in his arms,
They completed their tea and he got fresh for his office,
She made lunch for him and asked him to return back home soon,
And he came back all tired she made him have his dinner first,
And the same Daily routine goes on, until one day
He came back from his office she said I am pregnant,
He was happy and so was she
With trusted caresses the day finally came
The Nurse said,
A beautiful princess lays inside
But before the mother could rejoice,
"Kill the baby, or go to hell"
was the surreal called behind,
The father was a monster
To his own child.
And before we knew,
The child died.
[The poem is called as Narrative Poetry which actually narrates a story in the form of a poem. Which may or may not have the rhyming.]
[The main target of this poetry was to focus on the idea of female Foeticide. That the doctors declaring the gender of the child inside the mother's womb and if it's a girl she has to get her aborted. That is how this cruel world is.]
