I couldn't believe my eyes,
The wolf stood right in front if me,
Petrified and afraid was all I could feel,
The wolf was about to make me his next meal.

I was absolutely alone in the forest,
No companion to save me from the predator,
My foot was sprained so I couldn't flee,
Although the wolf would still outrun me.

The canopy of trees blocked out the sun,
Which gave the forest a sinister feeling,
I stared into the hypnotic yellow eyes in the dark,
It bared it's sharp teeth like a shark.

I backed away from his menacing growl,
But his sleek grey paws inched closer,
I whimpered out a pathetic plea,
But the hunter's eyes only filled with glee.

With his teeth he grabbed my collar,
He dragged me away to I don't know where,
I had to get help! I had to shout,
But suddenly the world slipped away and I blacked out.
