background story:

Daenys and her dragon Firesmoke first met when one night she heard a loud roar and the sound of fire. Naturally, she went to see what it was and discovered Firesmoke peacefully burning down some bushes.

He was distracted by her loud laughter and quickly turned his head. He looked at her in confusion and tilted his head. Why was the girl laughing? Didn't she have anything better to do?

Daenys stepped closer to Firesmoke and stroked his head. He enjoyed it and snuggled up to her. From then on, the two of them were inseparable and spent a lot of time in the air!

Her parents didn't understand what she saw in this dragon and wanted to have it killed! Daenys was immediately against it and defended her dragon with her life...
