Alrighty! I'm posting two of these bad boys right in a row, this one I'm calling it Mo's Guide To Favorite Pokemon (Name stolen from my sister lol)

So, a little background, my sister and I have played pokemon for... Like our entire lives, since gen 1. (It's a good game don't get me wrong but gen 1 is not my favorite, hell no). But I grew up with this game and there hasn't been one I don't like (still got to play gen 6 tho, ORAS doesn't count), including main games and not main games like Mystery Dungeon.

Pokemon has been there for me a lot, through divorced parents, just relaxing, helping me calm down if I'm upset or angry, so when my sister tagged me I thought eh let's do it! So, let's get started!

Starter Pokemon: oooooh boy. We're gonna go with used and not used, so first up is not used.

Not Used:

Totadile- Yeah, only one from gen two I didn't use, I liked Silver having it, it fit him so well. Plus I love Typhlosion wayyyy too much.

Treeko- Okay, so I love Grovyle because of Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky *cries* but I haven't actually ever used Treeko, he seems cool though.

Torchic- Erm, no thanks. I haven't used it main game but that's because in Mystery Dungeon again I had it for my partner one play through and we got creamed, a lot. Mostly because there is a lot of water dungeons but still! It's my least favorite of the gen 3 starters, Mudkip and Treeko I just like more, and I don't really care that Blaziken is an uber.

Chimchar- I like chimchar because of the anime and how Ash took it in from Paul, but otherwise I don't like chimchar that much, just not my kind of pokemon, plus it fits Pearl way too well.

Tepig- TOO MANY FIRE FIGHTING TYPES PLEASE STOP

Snivy- Sassy tree snake, however, I didn't like Serperior that much. And I really loved Oshawott. Otters are adorable.

Gen 6: I haven't really played it yet, but my sister said she'd give hers to me. But I will never use fennekin, fennekin is cute, but delphox... WHY NINTENDO IT COULD'VE BEEN WAY COOLER

Litten- I might, Incineroar isn't my kind of pokemon tho, he's cool tho.

Okay, now that that is over time for the used ones.

Used:

Gen 1 + Pikachu for Yellow Version- Bulbasaur is my favorite to use because then I can make the team I really want but I like the others too. Pikachu is just so weak tho and the fact it won't let you evolve it is kind of annoying. But yeah, I love gen 1 pokemon.

Chikorita- This was a mistake and I should've realized it. MEGANIUM IS AWFUL.

Cyndaquil- Favorite fire type starter. Typhlosion is so freaking awesome, and cyndaquil is so freaking cute.

Mudkip- SWAMPERT IS MY DUDE!!! Plus Mudkip is so freaking adorable, Marshtomp is ew tho.

Piplup- Not bad typing, was fun, but I felt bad because it became my HM slave ;-; plus I like Turtwig better.

Turtwig- I like turtles and this one is no exception. Turtwig is really good for the first gym (that's honestly about it lol) But grass ground turtle with a tree on it's back! Yes. Fun fact, diamond was the first pokemon game I got and turtwig was the first starter I used so he has a special place in my heart.

Oshawott- Now I know a lot of people didn't like Oshawott because it looked weird but I thought it was super cute! Plus Samurott is dooooope looking.

Rowlet- He's my owl buddy who turns into a freaking Owl Archer! I loved him, yes he is the worst starter out of Alola but I still love him. I named him Clint after Hawkeye lol

Poplio- I didn't think I was going to like it but then I used Primarina and it was awesome!

Favorite Starter: I can't pick... I love all the starters I've used.

Alrighty, now it's time for types in general. This is gonna be really hard. Also, I won't be picking starters or legendaries so that might make it a little easier but not by much. I also might do more than one, because... I do what I want.

Water Type: Vaporeon: I can't lie, I like a lot of the eeveelutions, Vaporeon is pretty awesome. HP is killer high, fairly okay stats and move pool and it's super pretty.

Floatzel: I used this bad boy in my first diamond play through and he is awesome. Pretty quick, good move pool and I thought he looked cool, and Buizel is adorable.

Milotic: Milotic is gorgeous, and the fact that it comes from some really ugly pokemon makes it even cooler. Plus, Cynthia used a Milotic and I freaking love Cynthia.

Grass Type: Honestly almost all of the grass types I've used have been starters, but one that isn't that I've used was Lilligant and Sawsbuck in two different Black playthroughs. Lilligant is super pretty, and it may not be the strongest but I liked it a lot. It reminded me of a race from another game my friend showed me called a sylvari, which are very pretty plant people ^^ and Sawsbuck is super cool looking. It evolves from deerling which is super cute, although I wish they would've given it a doe evolution for the females because the females with antlers is a little weird but I still like it. The season thing with it too was super cool. Another one that holds a special place in my heart is Nuzleaf, and if you need a reason. Play Super Mystery Dungeon. That is all I will say.

Fire Type: Ahhhh there are so many cool fire types that I like! I am going to say my top two are the Vulpix-Ninetales line and the Ponyta-Rapidash line. These pokemon are gorgeous and really fun to use. Rapidash being speedy and with a shell bell and flareblitz it kicks some butt. Ninetales is good because it can learns some status moves which can cause havoc. But there are a bunch more I like, like Arcanine, Magmar.

Ground Type: Well this will be interesting seeing as literally the only Ground Type I think I've ever used was my starter Swampert or Torterra. However, I did use a Sandshrew/Sandslash in my gen 1 game and I loved it. It's super cute and Slash is kind of overpowered in that game. Plus look at a sandshrew's face and tell me it's not cute. L O O K A T I T

Rock Type: I feel like I'm stealing this from my sister but Rockruff/Lycanroc is my favorite rock type, the midday form especially. It's cute AF like look at this little shit!

I want 20! It's also super good with the new move accelerock or something like that which is a priority rock type attack which is freaking awesome and it looks amazing! I wanna hug it. If you don't like this pokemon, please leave, we will probably fight. Maybe.

Electric Type: ... Well shit, I love so many electric types. Well, I'm gonna say a couple because "fight me my name is gold".

First off: Pikachu/Raichu, Regular and Alolan form. Pikachu is what got me into pokemon, yes it is an awful pokemon but it's so cute! And Raichu may not be the best but I love it, and the Psychic typing it got in Alola was so good. I'm happy with it.

Second: Jolteon, I told you I like eeveelutions and Jolteon has saved my ass a lot. This lil fudger helped me beat Pokemon Stadium for N64. Yes I have one of those, and it is lit. His speed plus being able to learn toxic made him a great addition to any of my teams.

Lastly: Shinx/Luxio/Luxray. *Screams* Like I said earlier my first Pokemon game my mom got me was Diamond, so when I first saw Shinx, my little heart melted and I had to have it on my team and I am SO glad I did. Luxray has a cool as design, honestly it's whole evolution line does. Sure it's attack stat is better but I don't really play competitive so I don't give a crap. I love this pokemon.

Bug Type: Bug types are not my favorite type honestly. But there are a few I really like, like Scyther/Scizor is cool looking, never used him tho. But one I have used that I love is Butterfree, which I know is a super weak one but I loved Ash's Butterfree in the anime, (Bye-Bye Butterfree made me sob) and I wanted one of my own. Plus it is super cute.

Poison Type: I'm not a big user of Poison type pokemon but I really like the Nidoking and Nidoqueen line. I liked Salandit and Salazzle but I think my favorite is probably Crobat, he's so cool looking and I was so happy that Zubat and Golbat got an actually decent looking final evolution, also I liked that Cyrus had one in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, it made me happy.

Ghost Type: G E N G A R this boi is a beast! Can't take a hit for shit but with his high speed, special attack and with the right move pool he will wreck your team. Gengar helped me a lot in Pokemon Stadium as well and I liked it a lot, great addition and he looks cool.

Flying Type: oooh I got two for this. Starraptor and Talonflame. Starraptor line again, I saw Starly when I was little and was like I want it, and then it evolved into a badass bird and with it and Luxray I felt unstoppable. Talonflame in gen 6 was overpowered as fuck, and made the game feel pretty easy, plus it's nice for hatching eggs.

Normal Type: A lot of people might hate me for this but I freaking love Eevee, it is my favorite pokemon ever. It's super cute, it's evolutions are cute, I just love it. I don't care if it sucks in battle. Battlewise though, I would go with Snorlax, that dude is a T A N K. I used him in gen 1 and he was great.

Fairy Type: Sylveon. Yes, another eeveelution fite me. Sylveon will fuck you up, it's cute, but it will not hesitate to strangle you with it's ribbon things. I want one, so badly. Actually I just want all the eeveelutions, to snuggle me. Please. This lil fudger will mess up your dragons, guess cute can be powerful.

Psychic Type: My favorite is Gardevoir. No contest. This psychic fairy helped me plow through Alpha Sapphire, she's beautiful and will mess you up. Her design is gorgeous, even tho some of the fandom ruined her, why fandom! Why?! Anyway, I love her and I screamed when I got a shiny one over wondertrade. Some other psychic types I love are Espeon, (yes another eeveelution) I played with this beast in Pokemon Colosseum with Wes and it saved my butt a couple times, she also looks super cool. Finally, Espurr. I LOVED Espurr in Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. She was a great character and I loved her so much, also if you haven't seen the meme with Espurr high, XD "do you want a soup or salad?" "What's a super salad?!"

Steel Type: A lot of people might forget who this pokemon is, but Mawile. This poor pokemon is so forgotten about that I even forgot about it until Super Mystery Dungeon. She was a great character and was really fucking strong XD. But there is a part in the game where she helps you and I cried a little because... my heart. No spoilers tho sorry, but she's great.

Dark Type: U M B R E O N aaaaaaa another eeveelution. I used this guy in my gold/silver/crystal playthrough and it was rough because it has a shitty movepool but I still think it's a cool pokemon. I also had this bad boy in pokemon colosseum as well and it plus espeon was an amazing combo. A few honorable mentions are Absol (which is because of the anime and Red/Blue Rescue Team), Sableye (because in Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire almost NOTHING could kill this fudger) and Zoroark (because of the movie and black/white 2)

Ice Type: I actually have three for this category. Lapras. I love her, she is amazing. Her design is so freaking sweet, it's a giant dinosaur. I want one. Also in the dungeon games lapras was always super sweet and I love it. Another one is Alolan Vulpix and Ninetales, I used them through my Sun/Moon game and they're so precious and pure. AHHH. Lastly, I really like the Spheal line, Spheal is so freaking cute and Walrein just looks dooooope, and Spheal is literally a sweet little ball of cuteness, I want 20.

Fighting Type: I am normally not a big fighting type fan but two have stolen my heart. And that is the Lucario line and Gallade. I watched the movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew and I sobbed for an hour, and then I used in in Diamond and loved it. Gallade I used in Platinum and I love it, plus in ORAS Wally usually gets a Gallade and it makes me so happy to see my little baby all grown up ;.;

Dragon Type: oooooh, Dragon types are pretty dope. I like Goomy, he's super cute and I liked him in Super Mystery Dungeon, but on the badass scale my top 2 are Salamence and Hydreigon, these two are badass mother fudgers. A pain in the ass to train but it's worth it. Plus they look sick!

Okay now that I am done with types I have a few more categories including legendaries and regions in general. For legendaries I'm gonna choose one - two for each region because I can.

Kanto Legendary: Mewtwo. The movie and then the prologue to the movie. I can't. My heart. I cry. Plus he kicks ass. His special attack is killer and he can actually take hits.

Johto Legendary: I really like Lugia, tho his typing confuses me. WHY ISN'T HE A WATER TYPE?! Another one I like is Celebi, it's so freaking cute, and in Explorers of Sky I loved Celebi and Grovyle, low key shipped them, such cute many wow.

Hoenn Legendary: Latias and Latios. I love them so much, Latias being my preferred of the two, the brother sister relationship between the two makes me so happy. And the movie Pokemon Heroes made me cry, Latias was a great addition to my Alpha Sapphire team, I love her. I also like Jirachi, it's so cute.

Sinnoh Legendary: Ah shit, I like a lot of the legendaries in this region. Honestly I liked them all. Dialga: Steel dragon monster.

Palkia: Idk I thought it was cool, I like it.

Giratina: Pokesatan : D

Arceus: he is just disappointed at everything and everyone.

Darkrai: liked him in the anime, in Explorers of Sky he can go suck a dick.

Shaymin: it is a literal hedgehog please give me.

Unova Legendary: Reshiram, it is a majestic fire dragon. I know a lot of people like N with it more but I don't really like Zekrom.

Kalos Legendary: not really sure... Haven't played this gen, but in Super Mystery Dungeon Yveltal was kind of a dick, so for now Xiernias.

Alola Legendary: I liked them both.... (not including ultra beasts btw) but steel psychic lion or giant bat ehhhh I love them both a lot. So... Cosmog XD He is my favorite. Nebby is life.

Favorite Region Story Wise: Sinnoh, specifically Platinum, which I am playing through right now. I LOVE IT. Yes the region itself is a little annoying but I love the pokemon and characters aka Pearl so much that I can overlook that. Plus biased that my first game was from the sinnoh region, but an honorable mention is the Orre region, Pokemon Colosseum was a game I wish I could've finished before my dad sold it ;.;

Favorite Region Look Wise: Well, I can tell you who it isn't. Kanto? No, that region is boring af. Johto? Same as Kanto, there isn't much too it. Hoenn? 7.8/10 too much water. No seriously that is a region that was not my favorite. Sinnoh? Boring... Sadly true but yeah. Unova? Eh... Not a big city lover, I did like it tho. Kalos? Er, no. So my favorite is you guessed it. Alola! I think it looks amazing! : D it's so gorgeous and honestly it is in a very close second place for my favorite game. I love Alola, and I am so excited for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
