We are not the same. Even if I wish we were. No matter how much I hope that one day I'll be in your arms again, I know that those days died a long time ago. We are not the same people we were a year ago. You moved away and you took yourself and me with you. You took the old me, the ones with hopes and dreams of the future. You took the one that clung to us. But times are different now. We are not the same people that we were before. You talk to her now, every day, as I sit by the phone waiting..... and waiting for you to call again. You promised last time that you would try to call me every night. Its been four weeks since I've heard your voice. I get it, maybe your busy, or maybe your sick... But you talk to her every day. She wears your sweaters, the ones you never let me wear, every day. You made a promise and you broke it. Did I do something wrong? Because if I did I would love to know. I want to fix it. But every day goes by... and no call, but you talk to her every day. I kept all my promises. I eat every meal now and I have never picked up a cigarette. And its hard. I don't want to eat and I want to pick up a cigarette and try it and see if it will take this pain away. But I don't because these promises are all I have left of you. I don't have a sweater to hug and sleep with at night. I don't have your voice to listen to anymore. She has that all of that. We are not the same people anymore. You broke me. I thought you were fixing me but in the end you broke me like everyone else.  You finally traded me for that new car you always wanted. Except it was no car. We are the sane people that we started off as. I'm the broken girl and you're just you, the exact same. And once again I'm the used toy being thrown away. We are the same.
