Chapter Seventeen
CHAPTER | SEVENTEEN | ALIZA | POV
The car ride was short to the airport and I was glad that it was because I didn’t see there being a point to waiting a long time to get somewhere, particularly when I’m eager to get to Isa and hear what is going on with him.
"Have a good flight ma'am." One of the flight attendants said to me as she passed me a glass of water which I had requested for a few seconds ago.
I thanked her and settled in my seat considering it was only me and a few other flight attendants that were here with me. Looking around I must say that I was impressed with Isa's personal jet. It was really comfortable to be in, unlike other planes I've been on.
When I had spoken to Isa a few hours ago I thought he booked my flight on a normal plane along with other people. But, he had actually got me to ride in his personal jet which I had never known of until I boarded.
Sipping on the cold water I tried to make myself relax because right now my shoulders were beginning to hurt from being so stiff. I couldn't help it though. The worrying about this boy just made me nervous all around.
Before I knew it, I began relaxing when the plane began moving forward. Unlike the rest of my family who hated flying, I actually loved it. I admit it's boring sitting in one place for hours staring at the grandma in front of you hit the people around her, but the thought of seeing somewhere new at the end of the experience was thrilling. Trust me, that grandma thing has happened before.
Then again it could be the fact that I was going to be seeing my husband after a few days that got me excited about flying. I shook the thought off realising that not all my happiness should be caused by that particular boy. But, he did happen to make me happy all the time, so there was no harm in thinking that.
Unconciously a smile began to creep up on my face and I stared out the window so that I wouldn't look like a deranged person in front of Isa's workers. The clouds that were formed in the sky looked beatiful and soft, which was what I always associated babies with for some reason.
They're just always beatiful to look at and their skin are just the smoothest things to touch and somehow you could never get enough of it. And that's exactly what it will be like with baby Shoaib. He will be our little treasure.
Slowly the train of thoughts in my head were becoming blurred as I realised that the sleep that I had lost was now creeping up on me and the fact that these seats were so comfortable, made it more appealing to sleep on. Sure enough in the next few seconds my eyes were closed and sleep had now over come me.

"Ma'am, we have landed and sir is waiting for you outside." That was the first thing I heard as I woke up to gloomy skies from outside the window.
The same air hostess smiled wearily at me as if I would snap at her for waking me up but I simply smiled back and got up taking my things with me. There was only my coat that I was carrying since my duffel bag was no where to be seen as soon as I had stepped foot on this plane.
My legs felt stiff just like my shoulders had a few hours ago but I still managed to get off the plane without falling down. Instantly I regretted taking my coat off as I stepped outside because of the intense winds blowing around.
It truly was cold and even with my coat now wrapped around me, I still felt the winds going through me, making me colder each second. Luckily it wasn't that long of a walk to go inside the airport where the heating was turned on.
The relieved sigh escaped my lips as soon as I stepped inside the warmth of the building where a lot of people were either walking around talking, sitting down or eating happily as if the cold outside couldn't reach them in here.
"Salaam." I didn't have to turn around to know who that voice belonged to. The familiar warmth in his voice brought another reason for me to keep smiling.
"Walaikumasalaam." I replied back to him and actually turned to face him so that it didn't seem weird I was talking to him with my back to him.
"Are you okay?" He asked while enveloping me in a hug. I missed him and didn't bother replying to him because all I wanted right now was to just enjoy being in his arms again.
His woodsy scent always lingered on him and it reminded me of home because that's exactly what our house smelf of. And it's probaby because he keeps spraying his after shave everywhere, but it didn't bother me.
We broke the hug and he took my hand leading me out of the busy airport crowded with people. The harsh cold hit me again and without knowing, a groan escaped my lips which caused Isa to look back at me and smile warmingly. It might not have made me feel any less cold, but it was still warm.
"You'll get used to the cold, don't worry." He said as if we were going to be staying here long enough for me to actually get used to it.
"We're leaving in a few days right?" The question slipped out and he persed his lips not giving me an answer straight away.
"It depends how long this will take to sort out." He finally said and we were now by the a car that was parked. Sense came to me and said that this was his car and without waiting, I got in and he followed suit.
The car ride was silent as we both sat. Him driving the car and tapping his hand on the steering wheel with the beat of the music while I just watched my surroundings outside.
There wasn't any actualy snow laying on the grounds but in fact a thick layer of frost which seemed dangerous to me was covering the gravel. Unlike back home, here it was grey all over. The building, sky and even the atmosphere.
"Isa, are we going to be okay?" My voice was now a whisper compared to how it sounded before; full of life and happiness. My hand rested on the baby bump and he saw that and placed his hand over mine.
"Insha'Allah." Was all he said to me before stopping the car in front of a tall building which was a hotel. It was fancy indeed and definitely the place we would be staying in for our 'visit'.
Outside he took my hand again in a comforting manner and led me inside the building where once again the heating was on. Inside wasn't very formal which was what I liked; burgundy carpet with some gold running through and flower patterned walls to match the colour of the floor.
Isa didn't have to check in and instead walked to the open elavator and stepped in, with me following behind him. No one was in here with us, so he brought his arms around my waist, or tried to since the bump was constantly growing, and pulled me closer to him.
"Touchy much?" I joked with him trying to break away the tension that was formed between us before.
It worked because he started chuckling at me and flicked at my forehead to which I gave a glare to. Again he chuckled but this time with more amusement.
Rolling my eyes at him I saw that the doors had opened and the floor he had clicked on was here, so nudging his side we both got out. I stood there outisde the doors unsure of where to go now.
"Come on Fatty." He said and guided me through to the end of the hall where he took out a card and slid in the door to open it. The card was slipped back into his pocket and the door to the apartment was now opened.
I took my step inside and out of habit took off my Converse, leaving them by the door after it had been closed. My coat was the next thing that came off considering it was toasty warm inside his apartment; much to my surprise that is.
"This place is quite impressive." I said out loud to no one in particular but of course Isa was there to hear me and gave me a small grin.
"Not as impressive as you." The cliche-ness was back and it made him gain a smirk on his face which again I rolled my eyes at. Boys can be really full of themselves at times, even when 'complimenting' others.
"I think everyone knows that by now." I said back to him just as playfully as he did with me. For a minute we had forgotten what we were both here for and the time flew passed as we threw playful insults to each other. Before we knew it, it was already eight in the afternoon and I was starving!
Tonight's dinner consisted of stir fry which mom taught me how to cook when I was fifteen because I really couldn't get enough of the deliciousness. Isa helped me for a bit but I told him to have a shower after fifteen minutes of trying to cut half an onion. The boy could either be an angel in the kitchen or the devil himself.
After a few minutes of stirring everything to make sure that everything was okay, I turned the stove off and took out two plates for me and Isa. When done with those, I set his plate on table but began eating mine. I really needed to work on my patience when it came to eating.
"Hey! You're eating without me!" Isa said, sounding shocked and came to stand in front of me and stare. Meanwhile I was trying to get rid of the single noodle that was hanging from my mouth.
"I'm showry." I said, or at least tried to, with my mouth full of noodles. A smile broke out in his features and he shook his head while grabbing his plate and plopping himself on the couch next to me.
We ate and laughed at pointless things until I truly remembered why I had flown across the ocean. I had been here almost a whole day and the subject hadn't come up once, so I guess now is the time to actually ask.
"Isa, what's going on?"
