Kim Eun Jung's POV

A week passed by and we both started working. Although, I took a leave today since it was my birthday.

Taehyung was really busy. He woke up early and went to work way before I woke up. He probably didn't know that I took a leave today. Atleast I hoped that he remembered my birthday. I understood his responsibilities being a CEO of a really large company, so he would obviously be extremely busy. Which is why, all I wanted from him today was a simple birthday wish. Him remembering my 24th birthday was the only thing I wanted.

Kim Taehyung's POV

Today was Eun's birthday. I woke up really early and wore something casual since I wasn't going to work today. I visited my parents and in-law's house to discuss the surprise I was going to give Eun today. She thought I was at work, but I was all day preparing for her surprise birthday party. I went back home to rest for a while in the afternoon. As I entered the house, I almost got a heart attack seeing Eun at home. What is she doing here?

I walked inside confidently, trying not to make Eun suspect a thing.

Eun- "You didn't go to work today?"

Kim Eun Jung's POV

Me- "You didn't go to work today?"

Taehyung- "Yeah! I felt a little sick so I thought of excusing myself from work today!" He sounds suspicious. He never takes leave.

Me- "Then why aren't you resting at home? Where have you been since morning?"

Taehyung- "I was at Jin Hyung's house! He needed some help with a document, so I thought of helping him early in the morning, so that I could relax for the rest of the day! And night!"

Me- "Oh! I thought there was some other reason for you to take a leave so suddenly!"

Taehyung- "What else could be the reason? Is there a specific reason for why I should be taking a leave today?" So you don't remember what day is today?

Me- "No! I didn't mean that!"

Taehyung- "Yeah! And why are you not working today?"

Me- "I just didn't feel like working! I thought of giving myself some rest too! It's not like today is some special day or anything! 23rd November! Nope! Just a regular day!" I tried giving him hints.

Taehyung- "Come to think of it, today is a special day!" Finally.

Taehyung- "Today, I helped a poor! Probably something good will happen to me!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!?

Me- "That's all you remember?"

Taehyung- "What do you mean?"

Me- "Is there really nothing special about today?" He should've gotten the clue at this point.

Taehyung- "Nope! Doesn't ring a bell!"

Me- "Forget it then!" I said disappointedly.

I rushed back to our room, leaving him downstairs. I was in the verge of crying. How could he forget my birthday?

Usually my parents would call me on my birthday but today, they didn't. Did they forget my birthday too? I got online and saw some messages from my Australian friends. They all wished me a happy birthday. People overseas are much better then the ones who are near. I thought.

As I was looking at the messages from my friends, Taehyung entered the room. I was expecting him to ask me what I was doing or something like that, but he said nothing. He simply went to the bathroom and then lied down on the bed. I tried getting close to him with my phone so he could see all those messages I received. Yet, he gave no attention to it. He closed his eyes and turned to the other side. Purposely, I dropped my phone onto him and pretended that my phone fell off my hands.

Taehyung- "What are you doing?"

Me- "I was just checking so many messages that I received today! And-!" He cut me off.

Taehyung- "The other side of the bed is yours! You can do whatever you want there! Just let me take a nap for a short while! I am really sick!"

Me- "Should I call the doctor?" I asked out of concern.

Taehyung- "No need! I will be fine after some rest!" Maybe he forgot my birthday because he is sick. It's okay Eun. This day will come agian next year. Taehyung is sick. So you should take care of him. Doesn't matter if it is your birthday. What truly matters is his health. I tried convincing myself.

Since he was sick, I thought of making chicken soup for him. I was glad I took a leave today. Or else no one would've been here to take care of Taehyung.

As I was done cooking the chicken soup, I poured it into a bowl before heading to our room with it. As I entered, I saw Taehyung doing something with his phone. Didn't he get messages from anyone regarding my birthday? I placed the bowl on the nightstand.

Me- "Eat this! You will feel better!"

Taehyung- "It's not a big deal! You didn't have to make soup for me! I am fine!"

Me- "You are? But you feel tired right?"

Taehyung- "Kinda!"

Me- "Then eat this! You will feel better!"

Taehyung- "Hmm, okay!"

Me- "What are you doing anyways?"

Taehyung- "Office stuff! I had a couple of things due today so I am trying to reschedule those things!"

Me- "Oh! By any chance, did anyone send you any messages?"

Taehyung- "Yeah! My assistant messaged me about the activities in the office! Why do you ask?"

Me- "Nothing!"

Taehyung- "Okay! Thanks for the soup though!" I gave a sad smile since I was really disappointed.

The day went so slowly. Since no one from my family wished me, I felt really sad. Not even my bestfriend, Seon wished me. Did she already forget about me?

I placed my phone on the nightstand and looked up to the ceiling. I never thought my birthday would be so boring and filled with loneliness. God. Please help me. I might cry any second.

My eyes were already getting teary. I was never good at controlling my emotions. Even at this point, I couldn't stop myself from crying.

After a couple of minutes, Taehyung got off from the bed and walked out of our room. I wiped the tears stained on my face, not wanting him to notice it. I got off from the bed too and went downstairs. I saw Taehyung wearing his coat, getting ready to go out.

Me- "Are you going somewhere?"

Taehyung- "Uh yeah! Something came up! I might be late, so don't wait up for me!" What? Late? Means he is not going to be with me atleast till my birthday ends?

Me- "Oh! Okay!" I said in a low tone. I was so disappointed.

Since he already left, I was all alone at home. I sat down on the couch, wondering why no one remembered my birthday. I just spaced out sitting there.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I rushed towards the door and found a delivery man standing at the door step with a little box.

Delivery man:- "Is Mrs.Kim Eun Jung here?"

Me- "Yes! That's me!"

Delivery man:- "This is for you!" He handed me the little box.

Me- "Who sent this?"

Delivery man:- "I am not sure! But indeed it belongs to you! Have a nice day!" He left right away, not giving me a chance to ask him any further.

I closed the door and opened the box. There was a paper inside it, which made me confused even more. I unfolded the paper and saw something written in some sort of letter writing format.

"Happy birthday baby. Congrats for turning 24 on this day. I am sorry for giving you all the troubles today. No matter what, I love you and fulfilling your every wish has become my life's motive. This day is really special and I cannot forget this day so easily since it's related to you. I know you love surprises and today there is one yet to come. Since you love the Nabi hotel so much, there is a surprise waiting for you. There is a beautiful dress in your closet that you haven't noticed yet. I know you will be able to find it so when you do, make sure you wear that. I love you. See you at the hotel.♡" -Taehyung

I was so overwhelmed by the letter. I didn't know that he was deliberately avoiding me talking about my birthday. So he remembered? My mood enlightened automatically knowing that my assumptions were wrong.

I ran to our room and opened the closet. The first thing that caught my eye was a plastic wrapped dress. I removed the plastic and saw a beautiful dress. I don't remember having it. Oh wait. Maybe Taehyung brought it for me to wear today. Without wasting anymore time, I went inside the bathroom for a quick shower. I got ready really quickly. Although, since it was my birthday, I thought of dolling myself a little bit more than usual. I was satisfied with my makeup and hair at last so I headed downstairs. As I got out of the house, I noticed that a huge care was parked infornt of the gate. The driver came out of the car as soon as I got near it.

Driver- "Please get in Mame!" I sat inside it as he directed.

It was evening when we reached the Nabi hotel. Strangely, there were no people around the building. It was unusual. There was a red carpet which was not there before. I walked on it and when I got in, there was no one in there. The carpet seemed to be placed on to make a route. With the help of the carpet, I kept going ahead to find the end of it. As I reached the end, I found myself inside a hall. It was abnormally dark in there. I was about to call out for Taehyung but suddenly, I felt a grip on my waist. I immediately understood who it was.

Taehyung- "Happy birthday baby!" He whispered into my ear.

As soon as I turned around, the lights turned on and everyone shouted.

Everyone:- "SURPRISE!!!"

I looked at them and my parents and in-laws were there. Even my friends. Seon, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, Nabi and Rm were there. Wait a sec. Are those my colleagues? They were there too. The place looked so crowded already. Just a few minutes ago, it seemed completely the opposite. I was already in tears, seeing everyone there to give me a birthday surprise.

Everyone gave me gifts and presents but honestly their presence was enough. I was so happy. I didn't imagine this at all. The day turned out to be the best birthday of my life.

It was finally time to cut the cake. The waiters brought the cake inside. Everyone should join my birthday party.

Me- "Hey! Where are you guys going?" I said as the waiters were heading out.

Everyone looked at me.

Me- "Since it's my birthday, I want everyone to join this happy moment! Can all the workers who are present in the hotel come here and celebrate with us?" I looked at Taehyung and he smiled and nodded.

He indicated everyone to come and join so they did. All the servants came too. It felt so good to see them enjoying something like this. They probably never got invited to such great parties like this.

The cake was massive yet the thing I had to cut the cake with made me speechless. It was a really long knife. It more looked like a sword.

Me- "Am I really gonna have to cut the cake with this?"

Taehyung- "It's going to be hard to cut this cake with a normal knife!"

Me- "Okay then! Here it goes!" I cut a huge piece from the sword like knife. Actually it wasn't that hard.

I cut smaller pieces from the big piece. I gave the first piece to Taehyung and he gave me some too. Then I went to my parents and in-laws. At last, my friends.

After the cake cutting, we all danced for a really long while. As everyone were dancing, I noticed Seon was just sitting on a chair watching us all dance. Wait. Is she drinking juice? She never drinks juice. There was wine yet she didn't drink that. Something is weird. It was already late at night so all the elders and my colleagues went back home. The hotel workers went back to continue their work and now only me and Taehyung's friends were there. We all sat down at a table and talked about random things. Taehyung was beside me on the left side. On my right was Seon, followed by Jin and Taehyung's other friends. Infornt of me was Jimin and Nabi.

We all talked about random things when suddenly Seon stood up. We all looked at her, confused.

Seon- "I have something to say!"

She looked really nervous. She looked at Jin and then looked back at us as Jin nodded.

Seon- "I am pregnant! And me and Jin are getting married soon!" WHAT?!?!? She did not just say that. Is she really pregnant?

Everyone looked at her in utter shock. Even I couldn't believe that she was pregnant.

Seon- "I've been pregnant since 4 weeks!"

Me- "4 weeks? And you didn't tell me?"

Seon- "Well, I found it out just a few days ago!"

Me- "Well, since you both are getting married soon, congrats!"

Jin- "Thanks!"

Jimin- "Yeah! Actually even me and Nabi are getting married after 2 months!" Wow.

Me- "That's great! Everyone are getting married! Which leaves the 3 young bachelors!" I pointed at RM, Suga and J-hope.

Suga- "I am never getting married!"

J-hope- "Me neither!"

Me- "Why? It's not a bad thing!"

J-hope- "Nah! We 3 are happy as singles!"

Me- "Okay! As you wish!"

We all went back home since it was past midnight and birthday was over. Me and Taehyung went straight to bed because of the tiring party.

Kim Taehyung's POV

The next day, I woke up to the alarm clock. As I woke up, I realised Eun was not in sight. Then I heard some sounds from the bathroom. The door was open and I quickly went to see what was wrong. She was vomiting.
