On a very sunny day in the Kalos Region, Ash and his fellow friends were stopping by in the middle of a certain route. Clemont was trying to give Chespin some exercise because he seems to gain too much weight. While they were doing it, some of the team's pokemon were watching the training from a far, this also includes Serena's Fennekin and Ash's Fletchling. The two were starting up a conversation while watching. "Geez, did Chespin gain more weight?" Fennekin asked while looking concerned. "It seems so, if he keeps up like this, he might turn into a Snorlax." Fletchling answers before he giggling. "Hey! That's rude! He just... need to watch over his dietary habit, that's all." She said after glaring at him. "Wow, I never saw you so concerned over someone before. What's got into you?" He asked before she look away, she is clearly hiding something. "I-It's none of your business, Fletchling!" She shutters. Fletchling was a bit confused by Fennekin's attitude but he decide to brush it off and focus on watching the battle. Chespin was readying himself while looking at his opponent, Froakie. "I won't go easy on you this time, Froakie!" Chespin said with full will, even know he looked burdened by his overweight. "A-Alright then, don't hesitate." Froakie said while he sweatdrops.

"Okay Froakie, use Bubble!" Ash commands before Froakie jumps up into the air and blast some heavy bubbles towards Chespin. "Chespin, dodge!" Clemont commands while Chespin tries to dodge the attack, but he seems to have some trouble moving since his weight is in fact, slowing him down. Not a moment too soon, Chespin got hit and he got thrown away. "Argh! Dang it!" He mumbles before he got up on his feet again. "Alright Chespin, go for Tackle!" Clemont commands before Chespin run for it to attack Froakie using Tackle. Of course, his overweight slows him down again and Froakie easily dodge the attack. "Alright! Finish this with Pound!" Ash commands before Froakie uses Pound at Chespin. Again, he couldn't dodge the attack again before he got hit and instantly lose the battle. "Well, that was pretty boring battle." Fletchling mumbles before he sighs. "He did his best." The mumbles suddenly caught his attention before he looked at who was saying that, it was actually Fennekin. "What did you just say?" He asked. "Well, he did his best and that's all matters, right?" Fennekin asked while smiling.

Fletchling's eyes widened in shock before he thought for a moment then look back at Fennekin. "Uhh... Fennekin? Do you... Do you like Chespin?!" He asked while looking very shocked, Fennekin was surprised by Fletchling's statement before she looke at him with her face looking crimson red. "N-No way! Are you nuts?! I would never love that sexy fat ball— I-I mean, w-well!" She then looked away when she couldn't finish her words. She then walks off while blushing crimson red, leaving Fletchling who was smirking by this. Meanwhile, Chespi n was fighting against Bonnie's Dedenne next but just when he is about to attack, he fell down on the ground near Dedenne. She then gave him a single Thundershock which made him lose the battle easily. When the battle finally ends, Clemont sighs desperately before he said to Chespin. "Well, you did your best, Chespin." Chespin could onlt sigh before he started walking around, thinking about what happened. Suddenly Fennekin came up in front of him while holding an oran berry. "You were great back there." She said before handing over the berry to him. He starts to smile for a bit before grabbing the berry. "Thanks, Fennekin." He then walks off, leaving her looking at him while smiling. "I'll be watching you." She mumbles a bit.
