Vivian was an independent woman and has a twin brother named Victor. Those two got a long so well until they were separated during the "Very Bad Thing" after WW2. Ever since then, Vivian became a Joy addicted Wellie in Wellington Wells. She was known for her Joy refill stations along with Victor who also had his own refill stations on the other side of town. She had strong connection to the Joy Doctors, Bobbies, (especially Alisa) and the scientists who made Joy. (even Sally Boyle who was making the Black Berry Joy) When Rosie and her friends came, they wanted to help her get off her Joy knowing what will happen if Vivian doesn't. However, Vivian wasn't so easy to convince knowing that she wants to "choose happiness over pain and sorrow". When she was experiencing the withdrawal effects, she started shaking and crying. She eventually became a Downer and was glad that Rosie and the others helped her.
