Dulce Maeve Campbell

Age: 17
Gender: Female
Star Sign: Scorpio (November 14)

Weapon of choice: Jiujiebian (九節鞭) A nine section whip used in Chinese martial arts

Appearance: She is fairly tall with a very light olive complexion and a spattering of light pinkish, brown freckles across her nose and cheeks. She's got big bright green eyes filled with jubilant curiosity and natural messily, wavy red (orange really) hair. Her eyebrows are thin and her ears are small like a child's. Her body is no stranger to bruises scrapes and scars, but in Scorpio house these are worn like prized medals. Raised as a warrior she is in perfect fit condition.

Personality: Dulce, while being undeniably Scorpio, doesn't usually come off that way. She's typically mistaken for a Pisces with her imaginative mind, intuitively compassionate heart and her past tendency to let her peers lead her into doing anything. She is a Scorpio though, born and raised she just prefers to keep it under wraps, for no other reason than she doesn't like revealing too much of herself too soon. She is fiercely determined and often driven by her emotions, though she tries to curb that with logical thought. Once her curiosity is peaked by something her attention is completely captivated by it (well at least until the next interesting concept, story, idea comes along), she can be very obsessive. Dulce is as stubborn as an Ox and black is typically her favorite color to wear simply because colored outfits take too long to figure out and she'd rather not waste time picking an outfit (unless of a special occasion) when she could be tending to her many other hobbies. She also has somewhat of a blunt and sarcastic sense of humor.

Weaknesses: Her emotions, they often rule her causing her to make snap decisions against her better judgment. Her allies may also pose a weakness if she comes to care for them. Though she was trained to be a warrior, she is not a murderer and has never killed anyone in her life. Suffers from vivid nightmares.

Strengths: She's basically been preparing for battle her whole life and is familiar with all weapons. She loves making friends with others and she's great at it. Because of her many past and present odd obsessions she often knows random bits of helpful information. She's confident and determined to get back to her best friend, Fan.

Other: The whip is her chosen weapon because of its origin and peculiarity. She wanted to learn the same fighting style as Fan and his mother, martial arts.

Alliance views: She would like to ally with people who can offer something, knowledge, skills, ect. She wants a mutually beneficial allied relationship with someone she can trust. She will also ally with young, small or innocents who can't protect themselves because she'd hate herself otherwise.

Backstory: Dulce's mother died in childbirth and her father was never around, so she was put into a "state home" with other orphans. Dulce was alone and desperately wanted friends, so she would do whatever the other orphans said, in exchange they promised their friendship. Of course they were never really friends and she used to cry herself to sleep not knowing why they hated her, but still wake up the next day to serve them. One day a young boy a year older than Dulce came to the orphanage. At first she thought he was just a new kid until she saw his mother. She was kinda in awe, never having a mother and all, and not many kids got adopted considering warriors didn't want kids. The boy's name was Fan and his mother volunteered at the orphanage so he came every week and every week he would play with her, not asking her to do a thing. He would listen to her and actually be her friend. They spent a lot of time together an over the years became best friends. When she was old enough she was moved to the training camps as was Fan and his mother was one of the instructors. She was a fierce warrior and while Dulce already loved her like her own mother, but she began to admire her as a fighter too. Fan's mother insisted Dulce call her Dot rather than Ma'am, she never got impatient with her students and always made a special dessert every Friday Fan came home and Dulce with him. She was Dulce's idol, until one horrible night. Fan went on a training camp mission with a few other trainees and would be gone for a week. Dulce opted to stay with Dot, rather than at the camps, for comfort. That night Dot had made a pizza and set up the living room for a fun movie night just girls. It was great just like always until the movie ended and Dot started acting strange. She insisted her and Dulce have "girl talk" asking her if there were any boys she likes, specifically Fan. Dulce of course denied, saying her and Fan were only and have always been friends. Dot takes this as an invitation to rub up Dulce's thigh stating that if doesn't like boys, she shouldn't mind what Dot was doing. She told her stop, she attempted to assert herself, but this was Dot. She didn't know what to do or how to do it. After it was over she ran up to Fan's room and cried herself to sleep where her nightmares greeted her. She was forced to spend the whole week with Dot and couldn't even contact Fan. Eventually she decided she wouldn't tell him and he wouldn't have found out if he didn't catch it. He came home on Saturday rather than Sunday, surprising Dot and completely horrified by what he saw. He decided to move to the camp with Dulce permanently promising never to forgive his mother no matter how much Dulce pleaded with him to think about it. Dot was never prosecuted because of her high status and "lack of evidence".
